The place was dirty and I had no phone service or wifi which resulted in my child with special needs to become frustrated and scared so after 1 hour we had to leave. ...Oh and he refused to refund me for the next 5 days yet I was only there for 60 minutes.Heartless man who just wants your money!

Cozy retreat

We loved every minute of our short stay here! So many fun things to do, hot tub, pool table, even a cozy theater room. The neighborhood is beautifully quaint, and although most things were closed due to Covid-19, we still had a wonderful time!

A beautiful mountain eacape

Our family of 4 truly enjoyed our stay. The home was beautiful and conveniently located to downtown Black Mountain where there were plenty of restaurants and shops to choose from. The restaurants on the property were amazing. We enjoyed being able to walk to dinner a few times during the week. The hosts were responsive and so welcoming. We highly recommend booking!

Wow!!! Awesome property!!!

This was the best VRBO property I have ever stayed at! Totally lived up to the photos. Gorgeous sunsets every night from our private setting. The house was immaculate and very tastefully decorated with every ammenity. Steps to the very private beach. We'll definitely be going back!!

Hilltop Haven is Wonderful

We enjoyed our stay at Hilltop Haven. Beautiful home. The location was good. Kids loved extra activities that the home had to offer. One of the bedrooms is a loft which may be good to know. Everything with the rental went smooth. Highly recommend.

Perfect Mountain Top Cabin

Can't say enough about this adorable cabin in Black Mountain, NC. We vacationed with another family and it was very comfortable for 4 adults, 3 kids and 1 dog. The cabin has very comfortable beds, nice linens and towels, and a kitchen stocked with everything! The location is just beautiful and the coffee shop and tavern served to be very convenient (just a short walk) when we didn't feel like going into down town Black Mountain or Asheville. The owners were very accessible and answered all of questions. If we ever visit Ashevile/Black Mountain again we will surely stay here.

Resort like experience

This house was perfect. Great amenities, great location. We went the first week of December and the house was perfectly decorated for Christmas. The children were in paradise with the bunk room, bean bags and games. The house was very clean. The welcome basket with chocolates and coffee and beer and water in the fridge was a great touch. The linens and towels were nice quality which is hard to come by with rental houses. We will most certainly be back!

Wonderful mountain getaway

We had a wonderful week at Hilltop Haven! We were traveling with our 2 children ages 6 and 3 for spring break. The cabin was perfectly located between Asheville and Chimney Rock, both of which we explored. The owners built this beautiful cabin with great attention to detail. Nothing was lacking! The cleanliness was top notch!! We enjoyed hiking and touring various areas each day and then returning to spend the evenings in the hot tub, cooking dinner, playing pool and watching movies. Highly recommend!!!

We LOVED it!

We can't stop talking about this place! We loved everything about it. The location as amazing, the owners were extremely easy to communicate with. They really thought about the little details. We had coffee and a six pack of local beer ready for us when we got in which was such a thoughtful touch! Everything was very clean.. and you can tell they really put thought in to designing this home. We were so sad to leave! We will definitely be back. Do not hesitate if you're trying to decide to stay here.. it is a MUST!

Just Perfect!

If you're looking for a place just outside Asheville, just a bit more remote, but with all the amenities you'd need, look no further. The cabin is perfectly situated just a mile off of I-40, with views of the mountains, easy access to hiking trails in Montreat, and made us wish for nothing (besides being situated literally atop on of the numerous peaks). They did everything we could have asked, including small touches, and made us feel like we had the oasis we were looking for. It was a great weekend reprieve and made us feel right at home; from the full kitchen, clean facilities, hot tub, personalized welcoming pieces, etc. We came with another couple this time, but are already planning to bring the kids back in the fall. This is how you host, without a doubt.

New Year’s Mountain Getaway

The property is in an awesome location and is very charming. The Christmas decorations were a bonus. It really made us feel like we were home for the holidays. My kids enjoyed the downstairs, and we all enjoyed the hot tub. The information about various hikes was extremely helpful. The neighborhood is gorgeous. We loved taking walks each afternoon. The king size bed was extremely comfortable, but it is not a true master. It is in the loft with very little privacy, and quite a walk to the bathroom in the middle of the night, but I knew that when I booked. Just felt others may find the information important. Overall, it was an amazing vacation, and I highly recommend Hilltop Haven.

Summer Family Retreat

Our family of five had a wonderful week here at Hilltop Haven. We enjoyed all that the house has to offer - hot tub, deck, grill, pool table, TV/entertainment room - and the surrounding Village of Cheshire. We cooked some great meals in the well-equipped kitchen and ate them outside on the deck. Sunrises and sunsets were also amazing. We spent the week tubing the French Broad River with Zen Tubing (highly recommend this company), hiking up to Bearwallow Mountain (worth the hike with breathtaking 360-degree views and even cows at the top!), riding along the Blue Ridge Parkway and hiking up to Mount Mitchell, and renting a pontoon boat for the day on Lake James. We even left the teenagers behind for a bit to visit Highland Brewing Company! Thank you, Jessica, for providing a home away from home. Everything was great. We look forward to returning again soon!

We enjoyed our stay very much at this beautiful mountain home. Every detail was thought of, with exception of one MINOR thing. There wasn't a full length mirror. Not a big deal, except for teenage girls who want to see their outfit on! lol. We didn't have to think about anything . It was taken care of. Thanks so much for sharing your home!

The Perfect Mountain Retreat

We go to the mountains often and this is hands down the best cabin we've rented. Here you will find everything you need for relaxation with all the comforts of home and so much more. Jessica and Eddie have thought of everything and include additional personal touches such as a welcome basket, craft beers, bottled water which was much appreciated for hiking, popcorn for the movie room...just to name a few! They even included special touches for the kiddos and you will have no trouble keeping them entertained with a pool table, darts, movies, game console, and awesome bunks! The hot tub was simply amazing and perfect for the cooler nights we had while there. The cabin is top notch and super clean. The layout is great for large families or big groups. Plenty of space for everyone. The location is convenient for anything you want to do in the area, just a short drive to Asheville but super easy access to surrounding towns and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Do not hesitate to stay here!! You will find it hard to leave!

Great weekend retreat

We enjoyed having this cottage getaway while we were in town for family events all weekend! Very peaceful and relaxing with great views and wildlife. We saw deer and listened to birds singing - the perfect weekend retreat!

Great find!

We loved the neighborhood! Nature setting in beautiful village of Cheshire. Nice walking trails alone the streams & neighborhood. Short driving distance to Asheville & many hikes. The house itself is beautiful & modern as shown. The hot tub was a nice end to day after hiking. The owner was fantastic to work with & great response time. Only con & reason not 5 star, in my book, was there is no bedroom with bathroom. The king bed is in open loft area above family room & kitchen. There is a bathroom close to the first floor room with smaller bed that could be used for master. Still would book again.

Wonderful time in Black Mountain

Wonderful experience!

We enjoyed our stay at hilltop haven. The home is nicely decorated with modern amenities and luxury items. We loved the welcome gift, game room, movie theater, Hot tub and big joe bean bags. The home is in a great location. My daughter enjoyed the walk to the play ground. The surrounding area has a lot to offer hiking, apple picking, bike riding, and chimney rock. I would highly recommend this rental. Thank you for a lovely time!!

Lovely stay

We love Hilltop Haven. Very quiet and lovely property. The king bed is in an upstairs open loft. Main floor bath is shared with loft and a bedroom on main. Lots of room for children in the bottom floor with the four bunk beds, and a full bath on bottom floor. We especially enjoyed the hot tub, family room, spaciousness of the property. Kitchen is well stocked. Neighborhood is stunning. Great place to walk and explore.
