Great Stay in Black Mountain

Hilltop Haven is located in a great spot, has comfortable furnishing, and my kids and I had a great time playing pool and darts. It's a clean, bright home. Highly recommend!

This is the ideal place to stay. Close to everything and yet secluded mountain retreat. A quiet weekend away and it was a perfect place. Inside is amazing. Movie room is awesome. Hot tub was perfect. A home away from home. Owners made the process so easy. Great place. 5 stars, not really. More like 10 stars.

Lovely Mountain Cabin

This is a well-appointed cabin/house in a private setting that's just minutes away from downtown Black Mountain, NC. The owners are very thoughtful and responsive. The cabin had everything we needed and there were great walking trails for our dog (and us). Very enjoyable stay!

Extended stay in the mountains

We stayed for 24 nights and had the best time! The treehouse was so comfortable and private…loved waking up every morning to the beautiful view of the trees out the huge upper windows…the owner provided every possible thing you might need and the evenings in the hot tub were fantastic! We are already planning next years trip

Christmas at the Cabin

Happily surprised by all the Holiday decorations, including a full Christmas tree! Close/convenient location to Black Mountain, and the house was very clean and well stocked. Thanks again so much for all the Christmas decorations!

Refined wilderness

Such a classy place. We loved it. Close to things you need yet far enough away to see beautifully landscaped scenery. We loved our morning walks in this beautiful pet friendly community with incorporated trails. So unlike any cabin we’d ever stayed in before. Definitely plan to return and recommend.

I was worried about the hot tub because I had a bad experience (another property) but my fears were unfounded. Jessica let us know it had just been cleaned and serviced. She read my mind! Great visit!

Getting in the Christmas spirit!

This home is amazing! Location is fantastic…close to downtown Asheville & the Biltmore. This home is in a very private area of the community it is in. Dog friendly. Media & pool table rooms were a blast with the family. Home is fulling stocked with anything & everything you can think of. We cooked several meals at the home. I highly recommend this amazing place!

Quick Getaway

The house was exactly as advertised. My husband and I, along with our two labs, stayed for 4 nights. Jessica was great to communicate with and the house was stocked with a welcome gift of local coffee, beer and water. 3 mins from a grocery store, a couple restaurants in the village to walk to and a book of local recommendations really made the stay enjoyable. We will be back.

Escape from City Life

This property exceeded our expectations for my weeklong birthday getaway in the mountains! The hosts clearly pay attention to the details of the property and it makes the home even more welcoming after a long drive from the Washington, DC area. I was pleased with the well-equipped kitchen, especially the sharp knives for chopping veggies. The village where the house is located is adorable and our dogs loved the trails when we didn’t go on larger adventures. We would definitely stay here again the next time we visit Black Mountain.

Perfection

Title says it all - Absolutely perfect! The home itself is cozy and cutely decorated with all the amenities you could ask for - views(!!), hot tub, pool table, dart board, movie room, fire place, beer and water in the fridge awaiting your arrival. The location is perfectly situated in Cheshire village which has a few excellent dining options you can walk to. Plus, the hosts went above and beyond to ensure our stay was amazing - they’re friendly and easy to reach. We will most definitely be back and I can’t wait! I couldn’t recommend saying here more - Five out of five stars all around!

Great place in Cheshire

We have been staying at a variety of places in Cheshire for years, we love the neighborhood, dog friendly, walkable, places to eat etc. Its really special. The cabin we rented this time was next level, and the best we have been in at Cheshire. Spotless, amazing kitchen (all those-items you need), a few welcome local beers...There was a hot tub outside, a pool table game room and a really cool home cinema, with huge bean bags. The house also had great natural light (which is often difficult in the tree houses in this location). Everyone had fun on the visit...we will be back

They’ve thought of everything!

The house is even better than what you see online! They’ve thought of every detail-from the hot tub and towels, to dog bowls, to the warm fireplace and blankets, the movie room with popcorn, the pool table and darts, etc. The house is very clean, comfortable and beautiful. The views are nice! We had no issues with anything at all. Black Mountain itself is adorable and we were about 20 mins from anything we wanted to see in Asheville. The hosts were very responsive leading up to our stay and during and helped provide a few things we needed for our dog. They had great recommendations in the area as well. We hated to leave and would definitely stay there again!!

Don't scroll past this one!

I have stayed at Jessica's property a few times now and it never disappoints. The home is clean and has everything you need for a weekend, a week, or even longer. The kitchen is well stocked (including some welcome beers) and the beds are super comfortable. You will enjoy the mountain views from either the back deck or the front porch. There is plenty of room and something for everyone - hot tub, pool, darts, home theater, and the list goes on. You are only a few short minutes away from Black Mountain which is a thriving town with plenty of shops and restaurants to enjoy. You are also close to Asheville and the Blue Ridge Parkway. You will not regret staying here. The hosts have thought of everything and you are guaranteed a great stay!

The residence was wonderful! We will definitely consider booking again!

We had a wonderful time at this property! Set on top of a small hill amongst trees, we had beautiful views of the mountains in the background and a creek in the valley below. The area was quiet and was amazing to sit on the back deck enjoying the sounds of the wind flowing through the trees. The house was clean with beautiful views, especially from the 2nd floor master bedroom. We enjoyed playing music from the in-home entertainment center (note - there are connected speakers outside as well), watching tv with the gas fireplace on, playing pool and darts. We enjoyed the hot tub on a cool evening. The residence has all the amenities, but the ice maker was not working. The host was very kind in offering to bring a bag of ice to us. The residence is very close to the center of Black Mountain and a short drive to Asheville. We had a wonderful time and will certainly be back!

Wonderful area to stay

The Cheshire Community, in which the house is located, is absolutely wonderful. Quaint and quiet, perfect for walking the dog, even has a Tavern and a small grocery market that you can walk to. 2 minute drive to a big grocery store, 5 minutes drive to downtown Black Mountain, 20 minutes to downtown Asheville. The house was wonderful. Very clean, had pretty much everything you need for a vacation stay. I will point out the nice pots and dishes, just because I have stayed in other nice rentals but pots were often old and not really desirable to use to make a meal. Best of all: you can bring the dog! I am always happy and grateful to find nice looking, clean rentals that allow dogs. Only downside was a little noise from the road underneath the rental when you are on the patio. But the beautiful house itself and the community it is nestled in make up for it for sure. This was for sure not our last visit to NC! Beautiful area with so many things to see and do and the locals are absolutely the kindest and most friendly. Southern hospitality for sure!

Clean, great location, comfy beds and brand new hot tub!

My 5 girlfriends and I stayed here for a weekend getaway and are SO happy we booked this rental!!! The location was so beautiful and easy to get to from the interstate (no scary mountain roads for those not used to them!) And still had great views! We loved how clean and nice everything was. The beds were really comfortable-- even the twin bunk beds were GREAT! The hot tub was well-maintained and appeared brand new. The owners took no half-measures on comfort or style..showers were great, the rules were easy to follow and not "bossy", and we loved the little touches like the coffee provided, soaps, and postcard!! I VRBO a lot and this stay has easily been the best property we've stayed at. Many times you'll rent a place and the shower is clogged or the hot tub is tepid or old, or the beds are 1000 years old. I will 100% book again with this renter and return to Black Mountain as soon as I can! If I had to give one critique it would be the couch isn't great and might need an upgrade soon. But literally everything else was perfect and couldn't be better! P.s. YOU MUST EAT AT LOUISE'S KITCHEN!!!! One of the best breakfasts I've ever had in my LIFE! We ate here twice!

We had a wonderful trip staying at this location. Very clean,great amenities, convenient location , easy check in process! Lots of close dining and shopping options. Very close to downtown Asheville. Would love to stay here again!

Autumn Escape

I stayed in Hilltop Haven for a sisters' retreat and business trip. The home was spotless, well appointed, and located in the most picturesque setting. Ideal space and location for those who love the mountains, hiking, walking, and/or just relaxing in front of the fireplace or in the hot tub. The owners were welcoming and responsive to any questions we had. Can't wait to return to Hilltop Haven!
