Beautiful large spacious condo! My family and I loved the condo as well as the location on the second floor and the beautiful beach view. So nice to stay in the off-season when itā€™s not so busy. Could use a deep cleaning throughout but otherwise a very nice place to get away with your family.

Upon arrival, our first notice was placed upon the shattered dead bolt lock preventing our ability to properly secure our condo against intruders as well as preventing our 4-year-old grandson from opening the door. Secondly, the grandson is deathly allergic to nuts and sesame. Found on the floor next to the master bedroom, was a peanut butter cracker clearly missed by the housekeeper. Third, the floors were so filthy our 1-year-grandsonā€™s legs were black from crawling as well as the bottom of our feet were also black. Our daughter, the parent of the children, spent nearly 2 hours mopping the floors in order for our ability to put the children down to walk/crawl upon them.The sliding closet door in the third bedroom was off the hinge and nearly fell upon our son-in-law. The bathroom of the master bedroom had a dual shower of which could not be utilized due to the poor water pressure (false advertisement).

The condo was very clean. We appreciated that. However, the condo appears to be rather neglected. As soon as we arrived, we were met with closet doors off their tracks, hanging crookedly or completely taken off, and no lights (because light bulbs were missing) from lamps and in bathrooms. One of the queen beds in the 3rd bedroom had a broken leg, which we propped back up so the bed could be used. The fan in the 3rd bathroom did not work at all and a living room lamp was broken at the base of the light bulb, posing an electrical hazard. There were no instructions on how to use the televisions and on how to use the lovely, but complicated shower in the primary bedroom. The couches are worn and you literally sink down in them while seated. No hand towels were provided and only one dish towel was available. We had a nice time here, but the condo could use some serious attention. I notified the management company of my concerns, along with photos of the issues by email. I got a response indicating that maintenance would need to attend to the problems, but no one contacted me again nor showed up for our entire 9-day stay.

Overall the stay was very good. Would use the property again however it does need some work. Closet doors need major work. Washer needs to be replaced (only able to wash very small loads, maybe three towels or the washer would make a terrible noise). The cleaning staff needs to check lightbulbs, one bathroom the bulbs were completely out and the master bedroom over head light did not work at all. Also the fold out couch needs to be replaced. Bed was broken. Again, all minor things that could be corrected. The condo was very roomy, great location. Not having to use the elevators was amazing. Security was very good. Felt very safe. Would highly recommend for multiple family use.

Property was very nice! We did stay on the second floor and thank goodness we did! The elevators were not as bad as we had read about, but the second floor was the way to go!

Rating Details: The property manager was somewhat unhelpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: I liked renting from East Coast Destinations. Everything was very clear and there were no surprises however I was not impressed with The Tidewater resort. The resort was extremely crowded. Check in, parking, slow elevators, and the crowded beach space was enough to help me decide not to return in the future. The gym equipment was old, rusted, and sometimes not functioning. The actual condo was not the cleanest. The appliances need to be replaced. The oven took about 30 min to preheat, the dryer took close to 2 hrs to dry clothes, the fridge was not evenly distributing cool temps. Some things were frozen while others were just cold. The loud guest and bright light coming from the elevator waiting area made it almost impossible to get a good nightā€™s rest in the 2nd and 3rd bedrooms. The nonsense about not being able to place an umbrella anywhere except in the wet sand was a dealbreaker for me too. I called requesting, batteries for the fan remote and 5 lightbulbs that were out and never got them not heard back. Good things were the size of the rooms in this condo were amazing, the kitchen was well stocked with things needed to cook, and the beds were comfortable. I also used the stairs everyday because of the slow elevators so being on the 2nd floor was nice.

However, the room is located in the elevator bay so be prepared to move through crowds at check-in time, just to get to the door. It was an easy walk to the facilities. Staff was pleasant. Like other revivers, the condo wasnā€™t overly clean-day 1 after black feet, we wore shoes/socks all week in the house. Also agree with reviews suggesting blocking curtains in the 2 rooms that face the elevators. It gets so busy out there that the blinds donā€™t make the rooms feel private enough.

The resort was amazing!! The condo was a great size but the condo could use some GOOD cleaning(mold in the master shower), brighter lights in the dining area and would HIGHLY recommend some blackout blinds or curtains for the back bedrooms the outside light shines right at the windows so therefore itā€™s like sleeping during the day!! The dryer definitely needs some attention it doesnā€™t dry very well at all. The light in the master shower was out so it was dark. We called maintence the first day to come fix the lights in the bedrooms they wouldnt turn on they NEVER came but we figured the remote battery was dead so we replaced them to have lights!!!

The only issue we encountered was fruit flies coming from the kitchen sink. The garbage disposal didn't work and I believe previous renters must have left food in there. The master bathroom sinks drained slow.

Great Stay

We really enjoyed our stay. The unit had plenty of space for everyone in my family. There was a small issue with the AC when we checked in that was immediately taken care of by the host. The property had a free movie theater that played 2 movies each day for FREE. The kids loved the movies. The beach access was perfect with just a short walk out the back of the building. We look forward to staying here next year.

Perfect Spot

This was our first time staying at Tidewater Beach Resort and we loved every second of it. The condo was perfect for our family; very clean, more than enough room and had everything you need for a comfortable stay. The beach chairs added to the enjoyment of the week along with all the guys who work hard to keep you in the shade. Canā€™t wait to go back in 2025. Great unit, great location

Great property. Loved the spacious floor plan and being on the second floor was so nice because we could avoid the elevators especially since one side was out on check in day. The only downside was the door was right in front of the second floor elevators on that end of the building so there were often people right outside the condo when we were going in and out.

Family Vacation

Property and location are great! We are a family of 9 and there was plenty of room for all of us. Floors were very dirty and we had to request basic cleaning supplies because they are not furnished. We would stay here again if you get rid of the chair and tent police Vivian. She is a nightmare for people who are only trying to enjoy their vacation.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This rental was spectacular! The rooms were spacious and clean. The beds were all comfortable and everything described was accurate. The view was amazing! I am thankful we were on the second floor because the wait for the elevators was a huge problem for all the other guests because one elevator has been out of service for over a year. The chairs on the beach included with the rental was excellent. If you are wanting a view of the pool (there are two of them) and the beach you may want to try for a corner unit. I understand parents like to be able to see both when they have kids utilizing both.The biggest complaint my group had along with multiple other families would be the harassment we received from a lady named Vivian White. She patrolled the beach every morning from 6:45-8:30 snapping photos of personal umbrellas that were set up. She would demand people move them to the wet sand and would get security to pull up umbrellas that were left unattended. She did this daily Monday-Friday and then another young man took over when she left. She informed everyone she has been in ongoing 11 year lawsuit with Tidewater and had many negative things to say about them. However, I had no complaints about my stay other than her.
