Million dollar view

Charming cottage overlooking Lake James meets mountaintop experience. Lake James living is filled with endless possibilities as it has 3 basins and is the 4th largest natural lake in Indiana. It is always a wonderful stay at this lake house with beautiful breathtaking views from all over the accommodation as well as the outdoor walk out spacious decks to view the lake and one concrete patio also with spectacular views. You will love the beauty and serenity of nature.

This cottage has beautiful neutral colors and wood grain flooring and lots of bright natural light shining through the windows. Spacious full bath with stackable washer/dryer along with a half bath thats been nicely updated. Large master bedroom has a sliding door that takes you out onto upper deck and has a great view of the lake from in bed. The master also has a generous sized walk-in closet. The second bedroom can sleep 4 with trundles.
All year round living. 20’ x 30’ parking spot plus a spot in front of cottage at lower level.

Whether you’re looking for a quick weekend jaunt or a far-flung adventure, this shoreline home is sure to float your boat. It is an All Sports lake for boating, skiing, tubing, fishing.
There are restaurants, bars, and activities close at the Corner Landing. The views will refresh your heart and soul to make your stay memorable and worth while. This lake house appeals to all types: adrenaline adventurers can engage in fun water activities, while homebodies can unwind and take in the calming views.

If you’re in the mood for, this on-the-water home will help you fish up an idea for your next trip. House located at busiest area in the city, 5 minutes walkable you got club Paradise and many restaurants also you get access to marina. Lake is grand and there’s an immense amount of boats as well as yet ski rentals around. Catch the sunset over a Nearby Pokagon State Park amazing place to explore where you can exercise, go for a bike ride, hiking, horse back riding, and above all access to some pretty sweet spots in nature.

Family gathering

We very much enjoyed our stay. The house/condo was very nice. A very beautiful vew from both decks. There is a propane grill on the deck for use. This was something we wondered going. Didn't see anything saying one way or the other. We were able a head of time to put in a Walmart order. It is located enough that we could have it delivered. Really made the trip easier. We were able to prepare a full meal in the kitchen. Only kitchen item that was not there was a measuring cup. The house comfortably sleeps 6. There is a couch and a love seat someone could sleep on as well if needed. All the comforts of home. There is beach access 2.6 miles away. We were able to take the kids and let them play on several occasions. Very easy to get to. Instructions for locking the house. Just push the lock button. The instructions on fridge are not accurate. When going in house there is a step down. Don't trip.

Less than accurate

The house was clean, well stocked and cozy. Loved the 2 decks over looking the trees/water and the large patio between the houses. Unfortunately, the listing is less than accurate. First is the sleeping arrangement. In the listing it states that the common area has “1 twin and 2 double futons”. That is very misleading since “the common area” only has a sofa and a love seat, no futons, sofa beds or twin bed. The second bedroom that can sleep 4 states,”can sleep 4 with trundles”. That is a loose description, it is actually 2 twin beds with mattresses on plywood and wheels acting as trundles under the twin beds. As far as where the home is located, in the 4th paragraph of the home description it states, “this on-the-water home” also the first line of the description, “Lakefront” as well as 3rd paragraph, “shoreline home”. In all actuality there is a row of homes and a parking lot between said house and the shoreline and there isn’t access to the waterfront at the house. Under amenities it lists the house as “waterfront” and no where does it mention “no access” to the water. Very disappointing. There were 2 other details that should be looked into, check in time on the website states 4 but emailed paperwork stated 3. Also the WiFi password was incorrect.

Cottage with great location

Clean, great views. We live on the lake and needed a few extra beds to host some of our guests. They enjoyed the views from the deck for their morning coffee. The location is central to the heart of the lake as well. Perfect for a small group! Only suggestion is to literally line the parking spots as that was a source of some confusion. Overall, great stay

Good but storm knocked electricity

We enjoyed the accommodations, but a storm knocked out the power before our last night, and blew over the grill. We waited a couple of hours for them to restore power, but decided to go ahead and leave as it was getting dark, no A.C. I asked for a partial refund due to the circumstances, but didn’t get any reimbursement. It would be considered an act of God, but would have been nice to get a little something back since we felt unable to stay the last night.

Great Getaway

Nice property for our short vacation. Once acclimated we were able to find everything we needed. Loved the view & activities were close by. Suggestion: Provide written instructions for the thermostat, TV & door lock. I had to work with it to figure out how to lock the door (the instructions posted on the side of the frig weren’t correct).

Enjoyed our stay!

We enjoyed our time at this cottage. While it does not have any water access it is a great option for anyone who doesn't need that amenity! Clean, comfortable, and plenty of space! We stayed over the 4th of July and wondered if we would be able to see the fireworks over Lake James with the trees in front. We were able to see them pretty well! The "million dollar view" title for this listing is a bit of a stretch with the trees that block the lake, but we thought it was funny!

Romantic Cottage

House was clean and sufficient for our family, and the host made it easy to check in and out. It was decorated like a traditional lake home with a floral/romantic touch--not modern, but still in decent shape. 1 bedroom had 2 single beds with 2 additional mattresses that pulled out from under the beds. 2nd bedroom had a queen bed and was spacious. There was a blow up mattress downstairs in the storage closet that you could use for additional children/guests. A little hard to tell on the listing how the sleeping arrangements would be, but we booked last minute, and it worked out fine. Only 1 full bathroom, but it is fairly large. We enjoyed the decks off both levels. Just be aware that if you use inflatable mattress and extra pull-out beds, they will take up most of the floor space.
