Home away from home, space to disappear, chill and congregate. Host have thoughtfully furnished the home to facilitate a good time in and out, especially at the beach. The lake minutes away and once your there you dont want to leave. A great time for all. Thanks for sharing....

Second Year

Second time staying at this property. Very comfortable and plenty of room for our family of 8. Well stocked kitchen. Lovely screened porch and deck. Saw lots of wildlife. 10 minute walk to the beach. would recommend. Host are assessable and easy to work with.

Fun for the whole family!

This place was perfect for our family which included grandparents and children ages 3 to 6. We enjoyed the beach-walkable even for the 3 yr old-and a great park very close by. The hosts were super helpful and the neighbors we met were very friendly!

Fabulous Cabin Great Location

This is a wonderful cabin and community nestled in the woods and a short walk to the beach, and a wonderful playground for the kids just steps from the cabin on the way to the beach. The cabin provided the perfect number of rooms and space for our family. It was beautifully appointed, furnishings and kitchen. We hope to return next summer!

A beautifully clean and cozy house with an extraordinary view! We enjoyed the relaxed ambiance of the woodlands and the spacious fire pit. From quaint wineries to energetic craft breweries and restaurants. Would highly recommend for a quick retreat or an extended stay with family and friends.

Siblings Reunion

Perfect place for our reunion with siblings. Cozy but roomy. Very well maintained in a pretty neighborhood. Loved the screened in porch for sipping our morning coffee and had dinner out there as well. Great place to spot deer. Took several walks from the cabin around the neighborhood. Highly recommend!.

Weekend getaway

The house is spacious with lots of seating indoors and out. Plenty of beds for our group, comfort level varied but that was personal preference. The house is well stocked with essentials. Excellent and prompt communication with owners. We really enjoyed our stay.

Perfect home for a getaway

This beautiful home offers plenty of open space inside & out. From the beautiful firepit, outside deck, sunroom & open concept main floor. Beds & furniture throughout are comfortable. Very clean throughout, with a kitchen full of everything you will need to enjoy your stay. Would recommend staying at this gem.

Family Vacation

Our stay was great! The house is lovely, clean, and spacious. It was so nice to see the added touch of a baby gate attached at the top of the stairs. The distance to the beach was nice, we often did family walks using the wagon in the garage to see the sunset at nights on the beach! The hosts were easy to communicate with. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay!!! :)

Terrific respite in the woods

The house sits amongst a grove of trees in the back and to the side which are lovely to view. We had a few cooler days and were able to open the sliders and enjoy the breeze and veranda. It’s super clean and well laid out with a large kitchen and dining area. The area is beautiful for the beach, walks, biking and eating at Stop 50 Pizza! Elaine A.

Great Week with Family

Enjoyed our week with our family. Surrounded by woods but with a short walk, you’re at the beach. Spacious home for 7 adults and 3 kids under 2. Kitchen has all you need. Fire pit is great for a summer night of smores. Owners were quick to respond to our pre-arrival questions. Would recommend to anyone wanting to enjoy this area.

New years cabin getaway

The cabin was clean, beautiful and well stocked with whatever we needed to have a relaxing weekend away! The fire pit was great for the kids to make s’mores. The outdoor porch was really cool, I can see in the summer it being even better. Short walk to the beach, cute neighborhood to take a walk. Tons of deer! Short drive to new buffalo and Michigan city.

LOL weekend (Ladies of the Lake)

It is ‘a cozy cabin in the woods’. Nice walk to Lake Michigan where some of the ladies gathered rocks for art projects. We played games, watched a lot of basketball (Go Purdue!) and talked, and talked, and talked 😊🤗 and we toasted our sister/cousin/friend who we miss dearly. We would rent again.

PInewood Lodge is perfect!

We loved our stay at Pinewood lodge! This beautiful, clean home was in a wonderful wooded area which had an easy walk to the beach. It is close to New Buffalo which is one of our favorite places. The hosts were very kind and helpful and offered extra details such as toiletries if needed, chocolates, a variety of games and a nice selection of children's books. The grandkids loved the basement! There were lots of deer and a cute park down the road and around the corner. We will definitely be back and would highly recommend it to anyone.

Perfect Weekend

This was the perfect spot to enjoy a fall weekend with friends. We spent one day at the Indiana Dunes National Park and the rest of the weekend relaxing at the house. It was a great space, that exceeded expectations. We cooked, played games, had a bonfire, watched movies, and walked to the beach. The pizza place down the road was delicious. Somehow you're only about 5 minutes from a grocery store but you feel much more secluded (we even had a deer visit during our bonfire!). Only regret is that we didnt stay longer, this house has so many great areas to sit and hang out. Wanted to use the screened in porch more and will next time!

Lovely, well stocked home. Great location

We had a wonderful stay this past Fathers Day Weekend. This was our 8th year of visiting Michigan and we really enjoyed the cabin in the woods. The house is very lovely and perfect for our family of 6 adults and 2 children. The house is well stocked and I was pleasantly surprised to find that the kitchen had everything we need. ( sometimes we would only get a few pans and very few dishes) We choose odd dates so occasionally we do not get the same property every year, however I would very much like to rent this again next year if Mark and Ryann will have us. The bedrooms are well appointed and very comfortable. The 3 bathrooms are great and I would only add that a bathroom in the basement would be an extra benefit. The basement ( or really lower level) is ideal for kids with a tv, books, games and nice seating area. Double doors lead out to the firepit and backyard. The deck and screened in porch are some of our favorite areas. The area is in a quite neighborhood and about 15 minute walk to the beach which is pretty easy to access compared to some of the other areas. The wagon and beach chairs were a welcome addition. We have stayed at Beachwalk several times but I would chose this cabin over any of those. Its only a few minutes to either New Buffalo or Michigan City. The host were very nice, friendly and easy to reach if needed. I would highly recommend. Thank you Mark and Ryann
