This Michiana Shores house sleeps 12 in 4 comfortable bedrooms, including 3 queen beds, and 2 bunk beds with twin mattresses on top and full mattresses below. Perfect place for families and friends to gather. Guests can enjoy the quiet wooded neighborhood on walk to Lake Michigan or play at the Pickleball court just 3 blocks away. Sit by the fire under the stars or relax in the hot tub after a swim at the lake, while your dog frolics in the fully fenced-in backyard. In the winter months, cross-country ski at nearby trails with the plentiful snow this area receives. Close drive to Indiana Dunes National Park, New Buffalo, orchards and wineries. Just blocks from the Marquette Greenway bike trail which extends from Chicago all the way to Holland Michigan. Wake up to fresh coffee which is provided and a well-stocked kitchen to cook in. Family had a good time. Plenty of room for all of us. 15 min walk to the beach. Artisan pizza place literally right around the corner. Would come here again!

We had so much fun celebrating the 4th of July this year at Michiana Shores.Sara had everything needed to give our stay all the comforts of home. We had a full house (each of our 4 kids brought a friend) so the all the beds abs couches were utilized and great!Also appreciated the well stocked kitchen--everything including grill utensils and a crockpot were available and used. The walk to beach is about 15 min so may be a bit far if you have smaller children, but there is a 15 min drop zone at the beach access where you could drive, and unload.Would definitely consider staying at this location again next time we visit the area

State Baseball Tournament Trip

When our son’s high school baseball team found out we would be playing the semi state tournament in Laporte, we had 3 days to make arrangements for the weekend. Instead of the overpriced, basic hotels in Laporte, we opted to go north about 20 min for Sarah’s home. We’re so glad we did! The 5 of us had plenty of space, slept well on her comfy beds, enjoyed the peaceful neighborhood & of course, the hot tub! We also ate at Stop 50 pizza (literally right around the corner- just walk over!) In addition, Sarah was a great communicator, the rental was very clean & we felt extremely safe in the area! The beach was also very close, tho we didn’t have time to visit. Would highly recommend Sarah’s place for a quick weekend refresh, an alternative to a hotel stay or a week of family fun!

Great for kids, friends , family and dogs!

This house is great for large groups! We had 2 families and 2 dogs for the weekend and everyone had plenty of space! The themed rooms were so fun and made each room feel especially tended to. There is a camping themed room, a beach themed room, and also a fun biking themed room. Great bike paths are nearby!This area and neighborhood are very charming. Beautiful homes and wooded paths to the beach. Walking trails along the creek! Also Stop 37 has such a nice short staircase down to the beach which was clean and not crowded! There were beach chairs and wagons provided for hauling what we wanted to the beach. We did lots of walking. Dogs played on the beach in the morning before the 11 am cut off. They are also welcome after 6 pm.We had dinner at delicious Stop 50 pizza where the pizzas are wood fired and all the appetizers and desserts were really amazing too. Right around the corner from the house! New Buffalo is only 10 minutes down the road with many amazing restaurants and ice cream!We relaxed in the evening in the hot tub and had a great outdoor fire in the provided smoke free fire pit.Kids watched tv and played games in the downstairs rec. room. Dogs ran around happy in the large fenced yard.The kitchen is well stocked so we cooked breakfast there. We also loved the coffee and tea bar! Both were provided for us which was convenient. Many amenities such as bath and beach towels, soap in the bathroom and outdoor shower, games and books as well.
Dogs were very happy in the large fenced yard and enjoyed time at the beach in the morning.

Serene says it all!

Loved this getaway. Would recommend for a peaceful stay convenient to Indiana Dunes, Michigan City, & SW Michigan delights like New Buffalo. My pup loved the fenced in yard and quiet local trails (there's a walking trail down the road, and Ambler Flatwoods a short drive away). I am a transplanted New Yorker, who despite my best efforts otherwise, has fallen in love with Lake Michigan. I love food - cooking, feeding others and eating, and as a result, I spend a lot of time exercising to make up for it. I am part of a group that swims in Lake Michigan year-round and a member of (and baker for) the Evanston Bike Club. I can direct you to all things bicycle, food or swimming related, and if you dare, I can introduce you to open-water swimming.

I have loved the Michiana Shores area for years. Before having this house, I would rent a house in the area for a week in the summer and invite all of my friends. I love the proximity to Lake Michigan because I am a year-round open-water swimmer. I love being near the orchards because I love to pick and make jam. There are trails to hike or cross-country ski and the Marquette Greenway - a bike trail which will span from Chicago to Holland, Michigan passes right by Michiana Shores. Indiana Dunes National Park is just down the road and New Buffalo is a 5-minute drive away. The best part of this particular house (and perhaps the most dangerous for me) is that it is around the corner from Stop 50 Pizza which makes the best pizza in the area and an incredible dessert called the Biga Donut which includes a wood-fired dough, nutella, cinnamon-sugar and a scoop of icecream on top.

My house is set up to be lived in. I love staying in it and exploring the area and want my guests to have a similar experience. Most of the bedrooms have themes that make sleeping even more fun - laying on the beach, camping in the woods, and readying yourself for your next biking adventure. My kitchen is a place where you can cook or bring in a pizza and sit at the table and lounge with friends and family. The backyard is inviting and relaxing with a deck, picnic table, grill, firepit, hot tub, and outdoor shower. The fenced-in yard is set up so your furry friends can join you outside without you worrying about their running off. The area is peaceful and wooded, and a pleasure to walk through on the way to the beach. This is not just a rental that I never stepped foot in - it is my second home that I invite you into, and it is important to me that you are comfortable and that your needs are met.
