Welcome to the brand new, absolutely stunning, Villa Southbreeze! This 3 bedroom, 2 bedroom apartment is fully furnished and equipped. Stunning high ceilings, huge 72 'fireplace, office, laundry room all Samsung stainless steel appliances, and much more. Out of the huge screened-in pool area you'll find a private electric heated pool, BBQ propane grill, several loungers, large table + chairs. The heated pool features two fountains and a shallow "beach area". Welcome to the villa Sunbreeze!

Great house, good location

The house is laid out nicely, and in a great central location. When we arrived it was really dirty though, the pool had fallen vegetation in it and the house smelled like dog urine. The house is fairly new, but you can really tell it is a rental, things just look a bit rough and lacking maintenance. The pavers around the pool need to be reset for example, which is especially noticeable at the edge of the pool, where the stone's sharp edges are completely exposed. The property manager indicated that they had a last minute rental and the cleaning crew must have missed the request to clean. He was very responsive and sent someone over immediately, who did clean. She attempted to clean the rug which seemed to be the source of the pee smell, we used a Febreze to cover up the bit that remained. We have dogs, but are really sensitive to urine smells, the cleaning lady smelled it too. being a pet friendly place I guess it can be expected, but if you are sensitive pet odor, may not be the right house. Other reviews indicate issues with the house and pool not being clean as well, so seems to be a challenge with this property in general. There also wasn't the typical info you see in rentals on how to operate things in the house, pool info, stuff to do in the area as etc. There was one page in a acrylic brochure stand but that was it. We were local so the area info wasn't a big deal, just an FYI for out of towners that rely on that... Had some trouble figuring out the pool bubblers, which as it turned out didn't have an on/off, but was on timers. But again, the property manager was super responsive. We have rented on VRBO several times, this was the first time we'd had any issues with a rental.

Nice vacation home in a quiet area of the Cape

The pros - this home is well-described and accurately pictured in the listing. Comfortably appointed for a small group of adults looking for a laid-back, peaceful vacation in a quiet neighborhood. With vacant lots on either side and another across the canal, we got to see lots of nature - birds, turtles, iguanas and rabbits - all around. The cons - our only complaints were about the cleanliness of the pool and patio. We reached out to the property manager on the morning after we arrived to let him know that the pool was dirty. After assuring us it would be cleaned, the pool company didn't show up until 5 days later, at which point algae was growing on the walls and pool steps (which made them slippery and dangerous as they are steep and there is no railing to hold on to). He scooped some of the debris and dumped chemicals in, but did not vacuum the pool as we requested, so at that point we gave up. Also the patio deck is not sealed, so there are ant hills. We tried hosing them away and swept the patio ourselves the first morning, but they were back the next day, which can be a concern if you have small children running around or don't watch where you step. Overall I'd say it was a nice, relaxing time in a quiet area, and with some more attention to the pool and deck this could be a wonderful vacation home.

Could have been better

This property shows well in the photos, and the interior shows very well. We had an issue with ants being present in the master bath and kitchen area. The property manager had their handyman come and spray...took care of the problem. The pool lanai had extensive cobwebs and spiders. Again, the handyman came and sprayed and power washed the lanai and that cleaned up the lanai nicely. The pool had a fair amount of natural debris in the bottom (pine straw) that somehow came through the lanai. The weekly pool maintenance contractor finally vacuumed the pool bottom several days into our stay. We stayed at this property for a month. I was having important mail forwarded to this property, only to discover upon arrival that this property did NOT have a mailbox! I went to Home Depot and bought one, borrowed a shovel from a neighbor and installed the mail box myself. The spaces between the living room sofa cushions had old candy wrappers, sucker sticks, and gunk in them. Not a wife-pleasing discovery. Behind one of the dressers in one of the guest bedrooms there was what appeared to be spilled wine stains (?) on the wall behind the dresser. Again, I will emphasize that the property manager was promptly responsive to our issues, and the interior layout was very nice. But, we have rented VRBOs in the Cape Coral area for 5-6 years for lengthy stays...and this one was not up to our prior years' experiences. This property would improve its "curb appeal" and renter's experience by providing better quality pool furniture (yellow plastic pool chair set); more attention by cleaning crew between renters; additional glassware, and adding some colorful landscaping around the property.

Could be better

The location is good and in a quiet/safe neighborhood. The house is large and spacious. Cleanliness was a major concern. The floors had clearly not been vacuumed or mopped. The manager was responsive in having a cleaner come the next day to vacuum but there was still so much more that was not clean. I liked the shallow beach area of the pool for my infant. There are empty lots on either side of the property with large trees that shaded the pool quite a bit, we only had a short window of direct sunlight in the middle of the day. That was a huge disappointment as we were mindful about finding a south facing pool to have more sunlight.

Booking was simple, manager was quick to respond. This property is in a great location. Very easy drive to FMB, Sanibel and Matlacha! We had a great, relaxing vacation!

Amazing place

We gave the house and location of five stars. The only drawback was the pool area was not as clean as it could have been. The house is amazing however you could tell it had been well rented. We stayed only four days however we wish we had stayed a lot longer.

Nice Place to Stay

The property was nice. Easy check in and out. We enjoyed our stay while at the house and it is close to Sanibel Island to enjoy the beach.

Disappointed

Spent a lot of time, on arrival, wiping down and scrubbing. We were expecting better from a “brand new”(per VRBO listing) above average nightly price range. I will say that, when we reached out to the property manager about the filthy grill and other items, he did say they would send the cleaning crew back. We declined since I was well on my way to finishing the “re-clean” and we wanted to get on with unpacking and start vacation mode. •Very dirty outdoor furniture, got my dress dirty sitting on it. •Highly doubt switches and “high touch” area were cleaned because there was dust and grime on top of each switch plate. During Covid-19 an important safety issue. •Cabinet handles, specifically above stove, disgusting with grease. •Wall behind stove top splattered with grease and food •The kitchen towels were stained and bleached out looking like they should be in the rag bag. •The outdoor grill extremely dirty! With tools, we bought, ( the ones at the house were in bad shape) and some effort we got it into usable shape. •Both king beds are low to the floor. This might be difficult for some. •Bedding very poor, quality, sheets pilled fabric and sandpaper rough. •Baseboard in master water closet was gross, dust, hair and dirt etc. •On day four we heard scratching and thumping on the ceiling from something in the attic. The property manager sent someone over to take a look and he found a duck in the attic. Problem went unresolved and we called again and requested wildlife management, finally after multiple visits the duck and some eggs were satisfactory removed 4 days later. On the good side, the house looked basically as shown. •The kitchen was large and had adequate utensils, dishes and cookware. I was impressed that the oven and refrigerator were spotless. Big comfortable sofa made a great place to watch the huge TV. House was spacious and uncluttered. •The wonderful pool patio area was nice for indoor/ outdoor living. The Pool was perfect and cleaners came weekly keeping it clean. •The master bath was enormous and very spa like with soaking tub and huge open shower. •Each room had a ceiling fan, nice for keeping air moving and cooling house without having to have the a/c cranked down. Overall this rental has great potential, that’s why we chose it. But the poor attention to basic cleaning details and sleeping comfort took away from my “Relaxing, away from home life,

Great vacation house

House was just as advertised; the place was clean, master bathroom was amazing, the pool was great, and the property manager was super responsive. The kitchen faucet was loose but otherwise things were fine.
