Tavolara - Fabulous waterfront villa in JVD

Tavolara is a spectacular 2 bedroom, 2 bathroom waterside villa at Sandy Ground, Jost van Dyke.
Sandy Ground comprises a private 17 acre estate at the east end of Jost - 8 villas share a large sandy beach, a smaller sandy beach, moorings and a dock.
Tavolara sits on almost an acre of waterfront promontory with 220 degrees of sea view. There is a gazebo with steps down to the ocean, and a separate path down to the larger beach.
It is remote, and suits 2 or 4 fit and able people wanting privacy.
Tavolara comprises 2 bedrooms on different floors ,2 ensuite showers , and an open plan living area with a very well equipped kitchen (large) fridge/freezer, double oven, induction hob, dishwasher, microwave, coffee machine ), a good size dining table, and sitting area with lots of chairs/couches. There is a further comfortable sitting area outside, three outside dining tables, a huge porch with Adirondack chairs facing the ocean, and a sun terrace. There is also a laundry room with a washing machine and a dryer. Steps lead down to the gazebo and then directly into the Caribbean sea. There is a separate path to the larger beach where there are chairs and a table.
Arrival can be by car from the public ferry dock or by boat at the private Sandy Ground Estates dock (at the smaller of the beaches). The house is a short walk from the dock. Brian will meet you at the dock and drive your bags (and you if your wish) to the villa.
The house is surrounded by a covered porch which has over 220 degrees of Caribbean sea view.
Guests will have exclusive use of the whole villa, and will share the dock and the beaches with the other villas at Sandy Ground Estates.

Important
Tavolara is remote and only suitable for persons who are fit and able, and who have good mobility. Access is by boat, or from the public road down a relatively steep off road track.
There are a number of taxis in JvD. Typically, they will meet you at the public road but maybe prepared ot drive down the track.
Car hire is available from hwww.paradisejeeprental.com and www.islandtimebvi.com/car-rentals-bvi - both companies permit their SUV/Jeeps to be driven down the off road track to Sandy Ground Estate.
Small rib/dinghy rentals are available from Dave's Dinghy Rentals (+12845409614 - whatsapp is the best way to contact Dave) - he will drop and collect the dinghy from the dock at Sandy Ground.
There is very little in the way of food shopping in JVD, and it is necessary to provision in advance of your arrival. Provisioning is relatively easy from one of the supermarkets on Tortola - your order will be delivered to JVD on the ferry, and Brian will bring it to Tavolara
