Nice 3 bedroom home with easy access, large yard and beautiful views. Located near the center of Maggie Valley. From the porch you can watch the chipmunks and birds on the big rock as well as the cows in the pasture. Inside you can sit in the big lounge chair and watch the big screen (with HD receiver) and the mountains at the same time. Well furnished and comfortable. All one level with only 3 steps to get inside. Internet access, printer with fax, so you can work while on vacation. Sleeps 6 with queens in two bedrooms and 2 doubles in the third bedroom. All linens are provided, Central Heat/Air, Wood Fireplace; Fully Equipped Kitchen, Washer/Dryer; Cable TV with VCR/DVD players, Great Mountain View, Paved Access; Pet Friendly

Husband and ended up being sick during our stay, so we stayed in. It was very homey and having the quiet along with the views were nice.

Great Stay at High Cotton

We enjoyed our relaxing vacation at High Cotton. Property was as promised. One caution: driveway is a bit tight if you are driving a big truck as we were (F350 Dually). Otherwise it was great for us and our pups!

Great week away

This is a sweet house that is pleasantly tucked away. From inside you can watched birds all day long if you like. The house is comfortably spacious and very clean. We enjoyed the back porch at night and watching all the fireflies. Great location to easily get into town. The completely fenced backyard was the main reason we chose this property to stay at and it was a hit with our girl Maggie.

I actually made a couple of calls in after hours with silly questions, and they were great. The dog absolutely loved it. We're a family of 5 & we had an additional guest stay with us, plus the dog -- plenty of space. Overall just a great experience, nice house!

Enjoyed our stay. We had three dogs and it is difficult to find a property that will accept 3 dogs. fenced in yard great. Easy access to everywhere. nice view from from, Neighbors very close in back with lots of cats. Furniture could use updating along with carpets. Wifi not great. We enjoyed our stay and would come back with our furry friends

There was also a large rock that they had a blast climbing. The cabin was cozy and had everything we needed. What was even more amazing was the view. The view was not obstructed in anyway and it was absolutely beautiful!

LOVELY TIME

Reviewer Comments: Since we reserve this rental every year it's obvious how much we like it.We've rented a number of places over the years in North Carolina and this is our favorite.It's pet friendly with a large fenced in yard. It also has a long PAVED driveway, surrounded by woods and is completely private. There is no dirt road or gravel driveway. It takes all of 3 minutes to drive down to Soco Road.Nice wide covered front porch with a view of the mountains.Reasonably priced.

We wanted something pet friendly. This was perfect with the fenced yard, however there are a couple of drainage issues that create mud when it rains. The closets, laundry room and back porch could use a lot of attention. There is a lot of clutter. The living areas were all clean. Don’t get me wrong I do recommend this home. There’s just some maintenance that could be done. It is an older home. The beds were comfortable and a few to choose from. This home is by itself with a beautiful mountain to wake up to everyday. This was perfect for our relaxing time away from home. We called the owner about the TV in the bedroom. She was very helpful and kind. I wish I could stay longer.

A week wasn’t enough

There were minor (to our group) issues with the property on arrival but management was very quick to right the situation to our satisfaction. (the property owners had been by and hadn’t informed the agency a cleaning was needed) Outside of their control were the next door neighbors revving their motorcycles at multiple points throughout the day and during the entire last night we spent there. Bring earplugs if you plan to sleep in the first queen room! The fence area is wonderful and the porch overlooking the valley is gorgeous. The tvs are easy to use and there is ample cooking equipment. We prefer streaming and the WiFi was more than sufficient to process any service we used. We chose to eat out and there were so many choices it was hard to decide! Multiple delivery apps include this home in the service area so that was also beneficial. The driveway is narrow and turning out can be nerve wracking as the visibility up the hill isn’t great. But turning in was a magical experience ;) We can’t wait to come back!

Perfect For Traveling with Dogs!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This was my second time staying on this property. I travel with my dogs so the first thing I look for (after pet Friendly) is fenced yard. This place has a huge fenced yard! The back porch offers a beautiful and relaxing view. Even though you need to bring condiments and paper products, prior guests left things and we didn't need to use any of the things we brought. The kitchen was stocked with plenty of dishes, pots, pans and anything you need to cook (if you choose to :). It didn't get cold enough to use the wood burning fireplace. The TV was easy to use. One thing to note, the property behind the house does have cats. If your dogs obsess over kitties you might want to bring distractions. There were no neighbors on my last visit. The people were quiet and didn't mind my dogs. I would stay here again.

They were quick to respond to our needs and very helpful, we would definitely use them again. As far as High Cotton home it could really use some updating. There was trash in the yard upon arrival. The back porch is a mess. The furniture feels old and dirty, the carpets in the bedrooms are stained and dirty. The bathrooms were very clean with lots of towels and the beds were clean and very comfortable and the kitchen is well supplied. Overall the house just needs some updating and cleaning up and it would be much better. It's very roomy and nice to have a fenced in yard for our dog. Also, the owner was super nice and willing to help when we had a concern. Everyone we worked with was super.

As we did last year, every moment was great and we enjoyed the fireplace and cool weather instead of the TV.
Roxie has a lot of fun playing in the yard and loves the boulder.

Like staying at Grandma’s Cabin

We were able to have our dogs and not worry that they would damage ultra fancy or delicate furniture and decor. The colors and decor reminded me of growing up in the 80’s but everything functioned and worked for our family. The double beds were so comfy and soft and it was so quiet, I slept amazingly well.

perfect for Biker's

Twisty road from the Highway. Enough space to turn on concrete drive. Appliances all worked as advertised. TV was a challenge as there were no children in the party. Lot's of birds at the feeder. If you bring a dog, know there are squirrels and cats to chase, yard is fully fenced. Outdoor grill was clean and ready to go. Important tip, its' easy to walk down the hill to Brickhouse Pizza, far more difficult to walk back up.
