One of the most beautiful white-sand beaches in Florida is just outside your door at this three-bedroom, gulf-front townhome on Cape San Blas.

This beachfront townhouse is in a wonderfully quiet spot, a perfect setting for fishing, scalloping, boating, and taking long jogs and bike rides along the shoreline. Yet you'll also find the community's outdoor swimming pool within walking distance, T.H. Stone Memorial St. Joseph Peninsula State Park to the immediate north and east, and a couple of fantastic options for shopping and dining nearby.

This home is spread out across three levels, with central AC running throughout. Upon your return from the beach each afternoon, you'll be greeted by an outdoor shower to rinse away the lingering sand, a gas grill, and beach-facing decks to ensure you keep the gulf-front view with you. There are four decks overlooking the Gulf, accessed via the living room and all the bedrooms.

The interior is polished and comfortable, offering a well-equipped kitchen including a toaster oven, Cuisinart coffee maker, and a glass-top dining table. A living room with generous seating, two TVs (with cable and streaming capability), a DVD/Blu-ray player, and a selection of movies and board games are on hand as well.

Damage waiver: The total cost of your reservation for this Property includes a nightly damage waiver fee, plus tax if applicable (the “Damage Waiver”). (A discount may be applied for stays of 28 nights or longer, if permitted.) The Damage Waiver covers you for up to $3,000 of accidental damage to the Property or its contents (such as furniture, fixtures, and appliances) as long as you report the incident to the host prior to checking out. The Damage Waiver fee eliminates the need for a traditional security deposit.

We loved this townhouse. Perfectly placed next to beach, beds are wonderful Kitchen well equipped. Very clean. Will stay again given the chance. This was our second time staying here, had been elsewhere before but coming back is our first choice. Maintenance needs to check for hot water in sink of bathroom. And electrical outlet in both bathrooms on second floor.

Overall impression very good. The Condo was clean and comfortable. We loved the view and easy access to the beach, which was incredible! We really appreciated the access to beach chairs, umbrella, and beach toys. There were a few bumps in our experience that prevents us rating it a 5. The gate code quit working a few days into our stay. It got sorted, but it was an irritation. The air conditioning stopped working. They sent someone out to replace the unit the very next day, so were quickly responsive, and we understand things break down. Probably the thing that bothered us the most was that there was no broom available to sweep up sand, etc, and when we asked for one we were told we could use the vacuum. We had no intention to break out a vacuum and lug that thing around up and down stairs. And the other thing that was off putting was that we were only provided with one extra trash liner for the kitchen receptacle. Other than that, it was idyllic, and we would definitely come again!

Great, affordable family stay

We loved how close to the water this home was. Plenty of space for the whole family to spread out and have their own places. The three tiers of balconies were perfect for watching the sunset or having a space to read or drink coffee in the AM.

Great location, but very unclean

The location is excellent -- within walking distance of the beach and pool. It's also a quick 5-minute ride to the state park. The condo was spacious enough for six people, and the beds were comfortable. We were very disappointed in the cleanliness of the condo. Every stairwell (there are three) had smears of what appeared to be blood on the walls. I immediately asked for the cleaning service to return, and they refused to send someone out. These stains are at eye height, so they are very easy to see. I'm not sure how the cleaning crew missed it. There were clumps of hair on the couch. The whole place smelled bad. We had to buy a candle to help. The floors and showers felt grimy. The towels were stained. The showers had mildew and mold, and the bathroom faucets were encrusted with lime buildup, resulting in very low water flow. There were no pot holders in the kitchen, so I don't know how they expect people to cook there. The vacuum was not easy to reach, so I assume they don't want us to use it. It was behind the plumbing in the water heater closet. Lastly, the air conditioner was struggling. It finally cooled off after 15+ hours, and had a tough time keeping up with the heat even though we kept the blinds closed. The AC unit is located in the carport, and we noticed that it has completely rusted through, with the metal fins falling out. I would be surprised if it lasted another week or two. I would not want to be staying there when that happens. Overall, it was very hard to feel comfortable there with all of these issues. I expect better quality for the price we paid. I would not stay here again.

Overall good

Likes - easy access to beach, access to pools, quiet area. Our kids are not picky and were just happy to be all together at the beach. Area is really beautiful. Dislikes - minor inconveniences— Wi-Fi passwords were wrong in email, app, and on fridge. Had to hunt for the correct one which was on the back of the router. Cleanliness could use some serious help. We dealt with stains on bedding and previous occupants toothpicks (we cleaned up 4 of those in the most random spots), uncleaned spills, etc. Also, we were called in the middle of our trip for them to ask if maintenance could come on a Sunday to fix a toilet seat in the home. Why can that not be done when there is no occupant? Was the toilet seat a problem? Yes. It pinched butt cheeks, but we did not report it and we felt the need to rearrange our time to allow that so there would not be a stranger in the home with our belongings without us. It was odd to not wait until the house was unoccupied. Parking was also super tight and less than ideal but nothing that can be done about that.

Great ocean view

The captain's quarters has a balcony with a great ocean view in every bedroom,the kitchen is well equipped,there was a gas grill and an patio dining set, be sure to bring chairs and umbrellas there is none at the property, overall my stay here was great, I do think that the cleaning crew needs to step up their work,as there were a lot of crumbles of food/dirt everywhere and hard water stains in every water outlet.

Great spot, hope to return!

Excellent trip, only 66 steps away from sand!! Loved the hot water and excellent water pressure after a long day in the sun. Views are incredible and offer beautiful sunsets every night. Loved it and hope to return! We do have 3 young kids and would have loved a couple baby gates for the downstairs portion for the week and a broom to sweep every night ☺️

Lovely and Easy

We had the best, easiest vacation and this place was at least 50% of the happiness. Perfect location to watch the famous sunsets, steps from the beach and pool. We loved it all! I mean, if you aren’t ready for constant stairs, don’t stay in Barrier Dunes. It’s totally worth it

Location! But...

The location is fantastic. Getting a beach wagon out just a few feet away is not an easy task however. The views are amazing and the decor is lovely. But the grill was empty on propane and dirty, no basic kitchen anything. Salt and pepper, scouring pads... none. And there is no hot water. We will definitely be back to the Cape but not this property.

Nice getaway

Very nice area. It’s located on the beach with easy access. Rooms are good sized. All rooms have their own balcony! Beach was clean. Lots of small, local shops and restaurants.

Great location

Location was fabulous! A deep cleaning needs to happen as all fans have thick dust. Also appliances are very old and very dirty. Grill was nasty. Cupboards and doors did not close right.

Loved our location

The ocean views from all rooms were amazing. Location & access to beach was excellent. Amenities were very good in kitchen. Lots of outdoor beach chairs, pails, nets, etc. came in handy. Well decorated. Showers need attention with mold removal but overall excellent. Would stay again & highly recommend.

Visit in May

We wanted to stay before the big crowds of the summer, and it was a perfect time to come for May. The view was amazing! The inside needs updating- the tv’s are older and the kitchen doesn’t have everything you really need, so be prepared to bring your own cooking utensils and pans. The cleaning was sub-par but management had them come out almost immediately to remedy the situation. Would definitely book here again- truly steps from the shore.

It was fine

The space was nice, not cramped at all. There are stairs as soon as you walk in the door, even to get to the beach! The kitchen wasn’t big, but it had everything you’d need. Not enough plugs visible for devices so had to move furniture. Shower pressure is extremely strong but hot water doesn’t last. The view of the water gets better with each flight of stairs you go up, lots of stairs!

Great location

Wonderful location. Truthfully, needs many upgrades. Outlets in kitchen not working. Washer and dryer work, but dont put clothes on top, very rusty. Doors to it falling off. Bathroom in guest, mold. Wonderful view from upstairs, but small chairs so cannot appreciate the view. If many things were upgraded, feels more like 90s appliances and furniture could highly recommend the location.

Great views, peace and quiet.

This property gives excellent views from every deck. The sunsets and moonsets were breath taking. Perfect location for quiet relaxation, exactly what we wanted.

Home needs some work. Views and beach are great.

The beach view, short walk to the beach, and the pool overlooking the ocean were fantastic. The living room and kitchen were very dirty upon our arrival. The floors and counters were sandy, sticky, and had food on them (peanuts), which was a huge concern as we have a 1 yr old crawling around. The management company sent someone out to clean, however, the cleaner still did a very poor job and we ended up cleaning everything ourselves. The sofas are very old, dirty, and stained, to the point that I didn’t even want to sit on them. The pots and pans desperately need replacing and there are no grilling tools/utensils, despite the access to the grill. Nearly all the furniture on the decks needs either cleaned or replaced. The stairs going down the deck need replaced, as there are rusty nails sticking out of splintering boards. The wifi was very poor.

Loved it!

Stayed there just before Thanksgiving. Steps to the beach and the sounds of the ocean was awesome. Most comfortable beds ever! We just loved this place and want to return ASAP. The neighbors were friendly and lovely. Cant say enough about our stay. Thanks so much

Gulf front condo

Location was fantastic, steps to actual ocean. Unit was clean and spacious. Area very uncrowded, very close walk or bike to state park, sometimes felt like a private beach.

We loved our stay here. There’s easy access to the beach, the house is clean and well appointed. There are plenty of beach chairs, umbrellas and shovels in the downstairs storage so no need to bring a bunch of stuff. Would definitely stay here again! A new fave
