Take a step into your favorite vacation home here at Timber Bark Lodge. This custom, beautifully decorated, cabin is perfect for your next Black Hills vacation. Located on a hilltop near the main highway and Recreational Springs, you'll love the proximity of the cabin to all the local recreation in the area. You can ride your ATV/Snowmobiles directly from the property 1 mile over to Rec. Springs where you can join up to all the local trails in the Northern Hills. You can also be skiing at Terry peak within a 10 minute drive, cruising through Spearfish Canyon or enjoying some local food at Cheyenne Crossing within 5 minutes, or gambling in Deadwood at the local casinos within 10 minutes. Mount Rushmore, Keystone, and Hill City can be reached with a 45 minute drive through the beautiful forest as well! You'll love having all these great attractions so close to your home-away-from-home!

This alluring cabin is a 3-level, 2,400 square foot home, with large deck in front offering great views, private deck in the back with a new hot tub. There are 2 separate living areas both with fireplaces with the main living area flooding with natural light from the large windows, 4 bedrooms, and 3 full baths. The master suite features a king-size bed, and private bath with a soaker tub. Other bedrooms include queen-size beds, full-size with bunk beds, and extra sleeping with pull-out queen and futon. Sit back and relax by either of two gas fireplaces or the flat screen TV’s with satellite! This home also features central air, gas grill, Nintendo system, and table-top air hockey. You also get access to the 1 car garage to store your motorcycles, ATVs, snowmobiles or vehicles and enjoy the parking area around the cabin for your other vehicles. We would love for you to be our guest at Timber Bark Lodge while you make new vacation memories. We welcome you on your next Black Hills adventure.

Easy access from town. Well stocked. Coffee machine, keurig, griddle. Do need to bring own soaps. Beds are standard comfort. Hot tub was great. Overall place was clean. Would stay again.

They answer any questions you have and are honest. Now to the house the house was beautiful clean and plenty of space. Yes there was a couple things wrong but it did not affect our stay at all.

Pub Crawl Stay

The host was quick to respond and gave us clear check-in and check-out instructions. There are three separate levels and it is gorgeous. We stayed for pub crawl and it was easy for us to get taxi’s to and from. The place was clean and had plenty of space for our group. There was plenty of towels and extra blankets for us to use. I would definitely recommend this stay.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The cabin itself was beautiful with great views and wonderful space for our family! We would love to rent it again next year if some interior improvements have been made. The leather love seat couch in the main living area was broken. The cloth couch in the main living room has the upholstery ripping off. The bar stools were falling apart in the kitchen and one was held together with black tape. Several light bulbs were out and rooms were dark. The hide a bed in the basement was broken. There were two grills on the deck, but only one works.

Beautiful mountain lodge

Our family had a wonderful time staying here. There was plenty of room for 6 adults, and we watched wildlife every morning and evening from the deck. When road construction caused a water problem, the owner/manager was quick to respond with suggestions.

Great view and location for SXS riding

Great location for SxS snowmobile or skiing. Roomy place great for several couples or a few families. Check in and communication was top notch. We would stay again.

Great place!

We had a great time. Nice and relaxing. Kids loved the hot tub. The view of the mountains was amazing! Lots of room and cozy.

Great place other than no air conditioning for 3 days. Great spot nice views out the windows and off the deck. The speed bumps on road were bad. Would stay there again in the future though.

Great Family Location

Great location and the house was great. If you have a large family and need a place close to Lead/Deadwood, I would highly recommend. Property didn't have toilet paper or garbage bags upon arrival, but the property owner was quick to stop by and replenish.

Winter Adventure

The experience in the Black Hills was amazing! The house was a great place to stay. We did an adventure every day and it was nice to come home each night to a house that felt like home each night, warm and welcoming. There was space for everyone to spread out and enjoy each other’s company. Highly recommended.

Amazing stay at the Timber Bark Lodge!

This was our first family trip in 5 years! It was incredible! The house fit 9 of us perfectly (with room to spare!) The neighborhood was beautiful and quiet and the overlook of the Lead Valley was stunning. Thank you for a wonderful few days in the Black Hills! We’ll be back!

Nice cabin

Nice cabin. No firepit outside. Working the tv was confusing since there were no instructions left. Thermostat was weird and hard to set.

Beautiful Property, perfect for ATVing

This property was very clean and stocked very well with all the essentials you would need. We were a group of 13 riding ATV and it was nice that we could hit the trails right from the property. There is also an SXS rental, campground, and small restaurant about 2-3 minutes from the property. Definitely would recommend. Communication was excellent with the property manager. Very prompt.

Close to Terry peak ski lodge which was a big hit with everyone. The cabin was clean and the rooms were nice and the large deck was great for grilling out and taking in the scenery. Overall very happy with the stay and will look into getting this cabin again in the future.

The owner was great to work with and the cabin was family and I (6 adults and 3 kids) had more then enough room there, the cabin was spotless and very relaxing to come back to after a long day of sight seeing and hiking a big plus was the hot tub that we used every night. We had zero complaints about this place and would stay again!! Also if you want to ride horses there is a place about 2 miles from the cabin and its called Andy's trail rides they were great and such a fun beautiful ride.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house was everything they said it would be. It was very clean and we had plenty of room for our group. The one thing to mention is that it is located up a hill so don't try to haul a trailer full of snowmobiles up to the house. We had a little trouble getting the trailer up the hill, in fact we only made it half way there and had to unload the sleds and turn the trailer around. There is a huge parking lot for trailers at Rec Springs at the bottom of the hill. I would recommend unloading them there, and leaving the trailer and riding the sleds up to the cabin.
