Relax at Water's Edge Cabin on Kentucky Lake w/ Private Dock.

Escape to your own private waterfront cabin on Kentucky Lake, where quiet coves, beautiful sunsets, and easy lake access make it easy to slow down and relax.

One of the biggest advantages of Water's Edge is the private dock. Bring your boat and launch at Danville Landing, less than ¼ mile from the cabin, then keep it tied up at your dock for the rest of your stay. Cane Creek Marina is just five minutes away for fuel, ice, snacks, and boating essentials. There's plenty of parking for vehicles, boat trailers, and ATVs.

The cabin features 3 bedrooms and 2 full bathrooms. The master suite includes a king-size bed, private bath, jetted tub, and separate shower. A second king bedroom overlooks the lake, and the third bedroom has four twin beds, perfect for kids or extra guests.

The open concept kitchen and great room flow onto a screened porch that stretches the entire length of the cabin and overlooks the water. Whether you're enjoying your morning coffee or watching the sunset after a day on the lake, it's the place everyone ends up gathering.

Outside you'll find a private swim platform, sun deck, gas grill (propane provided), and a fire pit. We provide split firewood and fire starters, so all you have to do is relax.

Whether you're fishing, boating, swimming, hiking nearby forest trails, or simply enjoying the peace and quiet, Water's Edge is the perfect place to unplug. One thing our guests consistently mention is how uncrowded this part of Kentucky Lake feels even on holiday weekends.

We're pet friendly and happy to welcome your four-legged family members. Pet fee is $40 per night per pet. The fee through vrbo handles 1 pet. For additional pets you will pay cash or card upon arrival.

Need bait, ice, or supplies? A local country store and bait shop is less than five minutes away.

Water's Edge isn't a resort and that's exactly why people love it. It's private, peaceful, and made for spending your days on the water and your evenings around the fire.

Great cabin!

This is a great place if you want to be on the water and close to the boat ramp. The cabin had everything we needed including comfortable beds. This is our second time staying here and would love to come back again

Great Family Getaway

Loved the location, the house was the perfect size, rented the pontoon which they brought to the dock for us. Affordable and convenient. Definitely will be back!

Great Lake House

Nice rental with a million dollar view of Kentucky Lake. Enjoyed our stay and was the perfect relaxing vacation. Highly recommend renting their boat if you don’t have your own.

Fun time

Super hosts at this dog friendly lake home that offered access to lake and close to outdoor activities. This made for a relaxing trip with just the right amount of hiking, fishing and boating.

The owner is exceptional and we so enjoyed getting out on the pontoon. We rode our 4wheelers on the trails and loved the creeks.

Beautiful view

We had plenty of room. Loved sitting on the screened in porch watching the lake and watching the guys fishing off the dock. Had everything we needed. Owners were very helpful also. Had a wonderful time.

Quiet and Secluded

We enjoyed a quiet and peaceful long weekend on the water. I'd definitely recommend seeing the area from a boat - there's so much nature to observe and experience. The home was well maintained and fully stocked with everything you'd need. George was very helpful with directions and suggestions for places to see.

One of the best getaways

This vacation was a wonderful getaway. One of our favorite places by far! Andrea was incredibly and very easy to work with. She was easily accessible whenever we needed! The house was perfect for us and the view was stunning. We went out on one of the pontoons and rode one of the mules; both were fun and Andrea made it easy to just enjoy our stay. Overall, we would definitely come back to stay here!

Wonderful family vacation!

We had a great time at the cabin! It was a warm, inviting and cozy place to spend time with family. The lake view was so beautiful and peaceful. We enjoyed the screened porch and sitting down on the dock in the evenings. We rented the pontoon boat and it was the best day! What a way to see the beauty of the area! Andrea and George were very responsive and helpful. We would love to visit again!

Beautiful Lake/Fully Loaded Home

This place is in a nice quiet cove with nearby boat access for kayaks and boats. The dock was great. Good fishing area. House had everything we needed for cooking and cleaning up. The hosts were readily available. Thanks for the Great time. We’ll be back!!

Wonderful lake getaway

This rental was great for our weekend getaway at the lake. The cabin was comfortable and clean. We rented one of the pontoon boats and greatly enjoyed spending much of the day out on the water. The owners were responsive and very helpful. We brought all the food/grocery items we would need as instructed by the owners (it’s pretty remote in terms of stores, but on a short street with several others houses and a small market) and everything else we needed was at the cabin. We would certainly stay again!

Perfect Place

This property is the perfect place for a lake vacation. Fully stocked kitchen with everything you could possibly need for preparing meals, large spacious screened in porch for enjoying meals outside, we’d loved spending the day on the private swimming dock, fishing, and swimming with the kids. We also rented the owners 15 person pontoon for a day and went exploring on the lake and tubing. Owners are extremely friendly ,helpful and do an extremely good job hosting.The home is located on a very quiet part of the lake with little boat traffic. Our family had an absolute wonderful time and cannot wait to go back. I would highly recommend this home and these owners!!

Great place to spend a quiet weekend. The home was very comfortable. You'll love it.

We arrived early Saturday morning and George, owner, could not have been more accommodating. He brought the Mule over and taught us how to drive it. We had a great time visiting the back roads, taking the ferry across the lake, and sitting on the dock enjoying a few drinks. This is an amazing place to spend a weekend. The house was very clean, lots of room and the air was COLD. We will be back to enjoy this place. Next time I am bringing my fishing pole. Great place. You must go.

Nice, quiet stay!

The property was clean, comfortable and had everything you could possibly need for your stay. There’s not much around, so if you’re looking to unplug and relax, this is perfect! We rented the boat and Mule and enjoyed exploring the creek and backroads. The neighbors are very nice and were fun to chat with! The covered deck was the best part of this home, and we spent a lot of time out there. I recommend bringing a fan to keep on the deck to keep the air moving…we brought one and we were very thankful for it! George and Andrea were incredible hosts, and their communication was great.

Great location

This is a trailer. It’s not obviously shown in the property photos. The living room furniture should be replaced. We booked in the summer. The ac stopped working on 2nd day. Had to leave early, too hot inside, even at night. The location is great. The property is very clean and well stocked

I was always under the impression that, as you called it, a "trailer" IS A HOUSE, so your first comment left me puzzled. Water's Edge has tons of photos inside and outside, I'm not trying to hide anything. Yes, it was a hot summer and, yes, the a/c unit did go out, BUT, I had it repaired at 8 a.m. the next morning AND I gave you a whole day on one of our pontoon boats FREE/NO CHARGE. In my defense, we have the a/c units Spring and Fall maintenance, we replace the a/c filter every two weeks, but try as we might, things do happen....problems happen at 5 star hotels....but, I got it repaired early a.m. and gave you a $300.00/day pontoon boat free for a day, to try to make things right. Honestly, I don't know what else I could have done. I'm happy you liked the location and, yes, all of our properties are extremely clean and well stocked. I always find it interesting that even though guests have a/c problems at their homes, are their homes as clean as my rentals? Who knows? but everything is supposed to be "perfect" when they arrive, and I try 110% for it to be perfect, but if something happens, something breaks down, I ALWAYS FIX IT IMMEDIATELY AND I ALWAYS COMPENSATE my guests with a free day(s) on our pontoon boats or free day(s) on our Kawasaki mules. And what do I get in return?.... cruel words "it's a trailer!" and a crappy review, shame on you. Andrea

To be perfectly honest, I think your 3 star review was a bit severe. All of our heating and a/c units have maintenance performed on them in the Spring and again in the Fall, filters changed every two weeks, but issues do arise, as I am sure, does at your own home....something is fine, then it isn't, no warning, no nothing. I feel I do everything in my power to have our places in tip top shape before each guest arrives and everything was in tip top shape when you arrived, as the a/c had problems on the second night, but I had it repaired immediately. I also gave you the pontoon boat for a day for free, so I feel your three star review was unwarranted.

Lovely location

This property is a bit remote and on the quiet section of Kentucky Lake. We loved it! The photos of the cabin are exact (it's rustic) but clean and comfortable. The screened in porch is great for watching the the water. Kitchen is well appointed. Air conditioner cools well and the area is very quiet. Andrea was a breeze to work with. We rented their pontoon one day and she was quick to give us maps of the lake to guide us. If you want the Ritz-Carlton this is not it...it's a house trailer with an addition and is furnished with second hand things but it is comfortable, clean and very restful. We had a great time.

True relaxation on the water

This was probably the best family vacation we have ever had. The property was perfect for us and had everything we needed to be comfortable. The location can't be beat. The beauty of the lake is just unreal and you couldn't be any closer than sitting on the porch or dock of water's edge. We rented the mule and a pontoon. Exploring the creek was one of the highlights of our trip and the day on the lake was everyone's favorite part. I can't believe how quiet and peaceful it is, even on a weekend in July. The locals were so friendly and kind. You are close to a few places to grab snacks, bait, or a fresh cooked meal. My kids are 16 months, 4 & 13 and everyone had a fantastic time. Thank you so much Andrea, you are a lovely host and I hope to book our next trip to one of your properties very soon!

Well, yours was probably the best review I've ever had! Thank you very much! Yes, it does sound "corny", but my #1 has always been and always will be for guests to come here, relax and have a nice time, everyone, kids, Seniors, adults, pets, etc., etc. Mission accomplished....please try to come again, we'd love to have you. Breath of fresh air!

My husband and Labrador had a fabulous time with our stay at the property. The check in process was super easy. We had a fully stocked kitchen, Comfortable king size bed, and fluffy towels. We rented a pontoon for two days and the mule for two days. It is a toss up between which we enjoyed more. The trail map provided for the mules was fabulous with eagle and deer sightings. It was almost like we were the only ones in the area. We ate a couple of great meals from the specials menu at Southernaire. We had a couple of tasty omelets and hash brown breakfasts from Danville Country Store. Don’t miss a mule ride in the ferry to watch the barges go by. Thank you, Andrea. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful location

We had a lovely, long weekend at The Wayer's Edge. We loved the views from the porches! Just spectacular. This was the end of a KY/TN family vacation and we planned to spend it on the water. We rented both pontoon boats and spent hours exploring the lake. The cottage completely suited our needs. We had plenty of space for our family and dog to spread out. Since the location is very remote, we packed lunches for on the boat or cooked at the home which worked out great. If you don't like being somewhat isolated, this isn't the place for you, but if you love quiet and remote, this is a great choice. We were here when there were tons of mayflies so we couldn't enjoy the evenings outside as much as we'd like but we had fun watching some movies. The house is clean and comfortable, though dated and older. The green space across the road was a good place to walk our dog, as there isn't really a grassy place. My son had fun using his metal detector around the peninsula, too! A 4 wheel drive vehicle will be handy! Thanks for a great end to our family vacation, Andrea and George!

We came on a whim to take a drive through the country. We had no thoughts of buying anything. Before we left we had puchased 500 acres of beautiful forest land right on Kentucky Lake just below the Kentucky border.
From 1992 on we did improvements everywhere. We put a road in 2.5 miles and brought in electricity.
We moved in, (1999).

We live on the 500 acres of our property. We retired here because of the beauty of the nature all around us. There are only 8,000 very friendly folks living in our county. There is one grocery store and only 4 places to buy gas and no shopping centers!

The Lake is 184 miles long with over 2000 miles of shore line. It is one of the great fresh water fishing lakes in the USA.
Hardwood forests dominate the land.

We came, we saw, we bought, we retired here.

Panoramic vistas with forests and water make this area an ideal place for vacationing for families and group getaways.
Nature surrounds us.
Our land is on the Mississippi Flyway. In the spring and fall we have all the migratory birds come through.
Bald eagles are here year round. We see them from the shore and best of all from the water.
Kentucky Lake is one of the best fishing lakes in the South.
The lake is ideal for all water sports. Lots of coves with calm waters for skiing and swimming.
