This property exceeded our expectations! We really can't express how wonderful our two weeks were, here at Cedar's East. The townhouse is beautiful - spacious, airy, bright, and peaceful, where every window view is beautiful sky and lush green trees. You might hear people off in the distance, or a boat traveling down the intercoastal, or a flock of wild parrots flying by. It was truly a retreat for us, and we'd come back in a heartbeat! Conveniently located in the central/north end of the key, within easy walking distance to Harry's party store, deli, and restaurant. The townhouse is spacious, starting with the deep 1-car garage that has everything you need for the beach. You can rent or borrow bikes from the clubhouse, or bring your own and keep them safe and secure in the garage. Up the stairs to the main floor, you'll find soaring ceilings, walls of windows letting in the sun all day long. a screened-in balcony is the perfect spot for breakfast, and you might spy an osprey flying by with a fish, or woodpeckers softly tapping in the mangroves. The living area has a comfy couch and recliner, perfect for catching your favorite show in the late evening. A nice big smartscreen means you can que up your favorite apps. Then there's the dining area and the kitchen, with everything you need to make your favorite meals, or pack a picnic lunch. We really appreciated the full size fridge and freezer, with filtered water. We programmed the coffee maker so we woke to the smell of fresh-brewed coffee every morning. Of course, we hit all the local farm markets, along with the Sarasota Honey Co. for local flavor, so our morning meals were fully of fruit and sunshine! Heading up to the 3rd floor, you'll find two spacious bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The primary bedroom has ensuite bathroom with a tub/shower combo and two vanities. The bathroom in the hallway has a spacious walk-in shower that we preferred, and appreciated! You'll also find a washer and dryer up here, so everything you need is right here in the townhouse. We loved the area, and appreciated that Longboat is laid-back and a more exclusive. We rode our bikes north over the drawbridge almost everyday, as we fell in love with Coquina Beach, and the bike path that winds you through the trees along the beach. Just a bit further up, we rode over the bridge to Cortez, where you'll find a few amazing restaurants. Tip: get to Tide Tables when they open for lunch! Simply a beautiful escape!
