We have stayed at this property multiple years and enjoy it more each time. Hanley and Intermediate lakes are great for fishing, boating, and kayaking. The location is great and within easy driving distance of many sight seeing activities and entertainment. Also, the owners are very responsive if you have any questions.

Great stay very peaceful lake

Great stay, we enjoyed family time around the fire pit with a peaceful lake view. Close to nice beaches and wineries.

We absolutely loved our stay here. There were so many things to do right on the property. Swimming, kayaking, floating in a tube, fishing off the dock, swinging in the large tree swing, playing in the sand, ladder ball, corn hole, hammock. The outdoor deck and dining table were so nice to be able to eat outside! The zero gravity chairs were great! We also loved cooking on the Blackstone! This location is fantastic, close to many small towns, biking, fruit picking, shops, ice cream. We also really appreciated having a washer and dryer! Another great feature is the Hydro sweep They have to keep the beach clear of weeds. Loved it! (We only wish it had air conditioning).

Family getaway

Enjoyed a very relaxing 4 day getaway. Close to glacial hills for hiking/biking. Property was as advertised, communication with host was great!

Excellent Cottage

This was our fifth year in a row staying at this cottage and we had another amazing stay. Excellent location on a quiet lake with access to a more wide open lake in Intermediate Lake. Fits our 2 families of four perfectly. Would highly recommend this cottage.

Nice relaxing stay

The house and property were exactly as advertised. The description and photos capture it perfectly. The house was incredibly clean, well equipped with towels, dishes, really nice Blackstone grill, well maintained kayaks, and most everything we wanted. Owners were also fantastic and genuinely seem to care about not only the property but also us having a wonderful experience. Highly recommend the chain of lakes trip, right from their dock!

Perfect Northern Michigan Location

Fourth year in a row we stayed at this cottage. Just as good as the previous years. Nice quiet lake and easily accessible to intermediate lake for more recreational activities. New owners had some nice upgrades. Hope to stay there again!

August Family Vacation

Since some of our family members had a great experience renting this house in December, we rented it for our bi-annual family vacation. The house and location were perfect! The property owners were excellent to work with. We were blessed with beautiful weather and were able to enjoy water play, fishing in the lake, and touring Central Lake and East Jordan.

We loved it!

Great communication with new owners, clean, very well appointed. Very comfortable! If you have never been to Central Lake Chain of Lakes you will love it. This home is in a very private area - its lovely. Seriously has it all!

Wonderful Week- Wonderful House!!

We had such a great time at this lovely home. The owners were always very responsible when we had any questions. Tons of activities with kayaks and puzzles and games, We spent hours out by the water Kayaking and fishing. This house exceeded our expectations.So many Wonderful things that the owners thought about, like specialty lighting in the rooms that was fun for the kids, And such comfortable beds. Thanks again for a wonderful vacation!

Great location in a quiet neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay on pretty Hanley Lake. We did not do as much kayaking as planned due to weather, but visited nearby Glacial Hills mt. biking trail system numerous times. We also biked around the lake several times. The cottage was clean, very adequate, and the owner a fantastic communicator. Thanks Jennifer!

Nice Northern Michigan Lake House

Really enjoyed our mid-June family stay at this nicely furnished lake house. Loved the quiet lake for kayaking and even catching a few pike. The little beach was perfect for our grandson to play. And the yard games along with the nice lake side fire pit for camp fires and s'mores was great. Also, central location in Northern MIchigan is perfect for trips to Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes, Mackinac Island, Torch Lake, Traverse Bay, and the many fruit stands, orchards, and wineries in the area. Thanks for offering your home for a wonderful time!

Wonderful stay in this cozy and quaint waterfront cottage!

Our family had the most wonderful summer vacation at this beautiful cottage. The house was cozy and clean with more than enough room and amenities for our family of 5. The property was beautiful and the location was perfect. Plenty to do in the surrounding areas. We had a wonderful time fishing off of the dock and caught plenty of fish. All in all, it was a great rental and we'd definitely be interested in returning. Thank you for sharing your vacation home with our family. Great memories were made!

Dad's Birthday Trip

We had stayed at this house twice before. My dad requested that we travel to northern Michigan and stay at this house again for his birthday weekend. The hpuse has everything needed for a comfortable stay. We even enjoyed some of the family games in the closet. The view of the lake never gets old. My husband enjoyed some fishing time while we were there. Its a great place to stay for an up north getaway! The owners are very responsive, too! Thank you for sharing your comfortable house with us!

Perfect family getaway!

Our family of 8 enjoyed our time at this house. My father uses a walker and was able to get around the house easily. He also had the master bedroom with a private bathroom. The kitchen was well stocked with everything we needed to make meals. We were very thankful for the coffee they had because we forgot to bring it! We had questions answered quickly and we plan to go back in the summer! Thank you for providing us a great place to stay. We look forward to enjoying the lake and other summer amenities!

Beautiful Home to vacation on the lake!!!!!!

Loved house and its set up and space. Loved the property and dock(s) access. The ENTIRE house was well equipped (didn't need to bring much of anything)! All house operations were clearly marked as well as explained in notebook (attic fan, lights, switches, etc). Quiet property and neighborhood. Friendly neighbors. Convenient location. Clean lake(s). We enjoyed our stay-never long enough....lol Only semi complaints- 1)House was clean except cobwebs in many corners. (I understand this is a norm in a wooded lot home. But maybe a little more attention to that). 2)Some windows did not open. Some wouldn't close all the way. And a screen on 3 season room would be perfect. But none of these semi complaints are REAL problems, just more FYI!!!! We had a wonderful time and a great experience. The host was also EXTEMELY responsive when reached out to. Thank you Jennifer!!!!!! Excellent hostess!!!

Winter Getaway

We loved our winter stay here. This house was cozy, nicely laid out, well organized, and was on a lovely, quiet street. The house had everything we needed. We came up for a winter weekend getaway after Christmas with our 4 kids (teenage to young 20-something). There was plenty of room for us all. The weather was warmer than we expected, but we were still able to do some winter activities. We went ice skating in Traverse City and the boys went skiing at the near by Shanty Creek Resort. Traverse City was close enough for a trip to Costco -who can go without Costco (Ha Ha) and a pit stop for craft supplies for the girls at Hobby Lobby - Barefoot Nook is not too far from anything you might want or need. One day we walked downtown Central Lake and visited a few shops and later stopped in the conveniently located local grocery store to pick up a few things for baking -the grocery store was charming and reminded me of the small town grocery store I frequented as a child when visiting my grandma. On New Year’s Eve we enjoyed a fire in the fireplace, played board games, watched football and then watched some of the neighbor’s fireworks near midnight- that was a fun surprise! We enjoyed our stay. They had a large pantry in the kitchen that we filled with foodies we had brought from home. The host was terrific (great communication), everything was easy to find in the house, and the whole process of staying and checking out was very straight forward. We would definitely stay here again.

Four sisters visiting their brother.

The home was very clean and inviting. More than enough room for our group. Definitely had the feeling of our own vacation home. The peacefulness of the lake and and beautiful scenery was perfect. Although we didn’t use all of the amenities, ( row boat, Kayak, bikes, water toys) they would be perfect for a family vacation. We would definitely stay again.

Great spot for small kids!

We stayed a week at the cottage and it was lovely! There were lots of toys (indoor and outdoor) for all ages and the location was great for our young toddler. The lakefront was perfect to play in the sand and wade into. The kitchen and rest of the house had everything we needed to enjoy our stay and the hosts were generous in communicating with us as the property had just switched ownership. The town of Central Lake is cute and this property is very close to Torch Lake and Lake Michigan.

Family of 5 and new owners of this property since Aug 19, 2022. We live full time in Colorado but have been visiting northern Michigan since before we were married 17 years ago. It is our favorite place! Our children are so thrilled to start making new memories here and we have just fallen in love with the people of Central Lake and the quiet yet beautiful little village. We are so excited about this beautiful vacation spot and are blessed to be able to share it with guests. We intend to start scheduling updates and upgrades to the property over time to make it even more comfortable and beautiful.
