This was such a beautiful home and the location was perfect. I wanted to stay forever. Great patio and porch plus the additional bathroom in the garage was great to have. Tons of kitchen supplies and great grill. We had the best time! We will be back. Planning another soon.

We are very much looking forward to coming back next year and starting here again. Our ONLY complaint, is Vrbo has this located just a few minutes from the pier, closer to Coffee and Cream, but it is much higher up and a block from the wellness center instead.

We had the most wonderful first stay at Lakeside. Absolutely fell in love with the community! This property was perfect for our family of 5 our puppy. Host was accommodating. Well appointed kitchen, lots of games for the kids, and a fun outdoor space with fire pit. We were very comfortable, and we loved the location. Highly recommend.

This is a lovely cottage and you have everything you need there. There is a high chair, pitchers to make iced tea and lemonade, and multiple coffee options. It was very close to the pool, and the yard was big with plenty of parking space. Loved the front porch swing. 2 adults and 3 small children fit nicely on the porch swing. Check in was easy. There was laundry soap, and dish washing soap. Truly everything we needed. Would definitely recommend:)

Nestled in. Great shade. Great layout.

We arrived on Friday afternoon, pleasantly surprised! The house was very clean. And the layout was excellent! Thoroughly enjoyed the screened in front porch with porch swing and the patio! Adequate seating for meals too! Great communication with the host! Would love to re-book eventually!

Lovely stay in Lakeside

We had a great time and will return! Enjoyed the location, sitting around fire pit, the open kitchen/dining area, and the adequate spaces to park our cars and golf cart.

Terrific Lakeside Home

This home was lovely. It has been updated throughout and is very well decorated. The kitchen was well supplied (though we weren't cooking). The furniture was very nice. It was clean. And the host was very responsive and helpful - going above and beyond what was expected. We especially enjoyed the very nice outdoor patio and sitting area. Lakeside itself is the draw. What a wonderful community. The cottage is an easy 4 block walk to the lake.

Great place!

Loved the open floor plan, and screened in porch. Communication was great with easy check in and check out! We would definitely stay again! So happy we could bring our dog! Thanks for a great stay!

Location and layout

Where Happy Memories Are Made

For at least twenty years, until my children became adults, my family vacationed at Lakeside every summer. We have experienced many different cottages, some of which were quite rustic. This one was by far the best. The openness of the common area easily accommodated my extended family of five adults and two small children. The sofa was very comfortable, and the smart TV was an unexpected amenity. The mattresses on the beds seemed to be relatively new. The bathroom had a modern shower and sink as well as generous, convenient shelves to place toiletries on. The kitchen was well-stocked with glasses, plates, utensils, etc. (although we did not do any cooking.) The laundry facilities were top notch. Our favorite part of the cottage was the screened-in front porch with a swing. It was a bonus to have a yard for the kids to run in, and there was plenty of room for parking. The owner was responsive, both by phone and email. We look forward to another stay at 520 Laurel Avenue in the future.

Perfect for a family

The cottage is very warm and welcoming and well stocked. We had a great time and would definitely come back. Great communication with owners.

A Nice Rental. Be prepared for the Lakeside Entry Fees

The rental home was well located, clean and welcoming. We appreciated that supplies and extra kitchen items were available. All arrival and departure instructions easy to follow. I gave the rental 4 stars overall because the bedrooms rooms are small, the bunkbeds were difficult to get in and out of with the ladders located in the middle, and there is no dishwasher. We do have one recommendation that should be noted regarding the charming community of Lakeside. Lakeside has entry fees between Memorial Day and Labor Day. Our group of 5 had to pay $570 at the gate for our 3 night stay. Although this is not a reflection of the rental house itself, I encourage the rental manager to point this out more prominently on the listing. I acknowledge that as the renter, I should have looked into this more closely, but the exceptionally high cost of entry took us by surprise.

Lovely cottage with good accessibility

My family and friends enjoyed our stay immensely! My husband uses a wheelchair, and George was very responsive to my accessibility questions. For other wheelchair/Hoyer lift users: Exterior doors were wide enough for my husband's chair (manual tilt-in-space). The middle bedroom (queen bed) doorway was narrow but workable. With a little rearranging, the bedroom fit his chair and Hoyer lift when needed. The bed was tall enough for the lift to fit underneath. There is a ~2-inch step into each of the bedrooms. This wasn't a problem since I push his manual chair. This is the nicest house I've stayed in at Lakeside (out of about 8 houses)!

Great Stay

Had a fishing trip with friends! Great time. Confused on lockbox placement but found it! Wish there was a dishwasher but otherwise nice place to stay!
