Secluded Country Cottage with Patio - Quiet Family Getaway

Enjoy a quiet, comfortable stay at this standalone 2-bedroom, 1-bath country cottage near Lake Ray Hubbard. Surrounded by mature pecan trees and set well outside city noise and light pollution, the home offers a peaceful rural setting while still being a short drive to restaurants, coffee shops, stores, and local attractions.

Inside, the cottage is thoughtfully equipped for relaxed stays, with comfortable living spaces and a few simple extras like a shuffleboard and ping pong table for casual family fun. Outside, guests can enjoy the fresh air and quiet surroundings, making it easy to unwind after a day out exploring the area. Guests also have access to a propane grill just off the deck.

Road access note: The property is located on a country road with an asphalt base and gravel infill. The road is not muddy, but has a few low spots, particularly after rain. An SUV or truck is recommended, though lower vehicles can access the home by driving slowly and carefully. Please reach out with any questions prior to booking.

This cottage lived up to its description! Bright, warm, and cozy during a cold weekend. We loved waking up to the beautiful lake views and enjoyed the fully stocked kitchen. The hosts are great communicators who anticipated all of our needs. Shuffleboard and ping pong tables are fun additions to the comfortable space. The location was perfect for us as we were easily able to jump on highways to get around. Highly recommend!

Short visit/stay

The cottage was cute and cozy as photos indicate. Host was gracious to allow us to delay/extend by one day due to the ice/snowy weather. In addition, they were extremely helpful because unbeknownst to me, my dad had fractured his foot, so that kind of put a damper on the trip. Cottage would be great in spring or summer to take advantage of the lake that is within walking distance. I would recommend the cottage if they want a 'country feel'.

Christmas With Son’s Family

The location for us was ideal as it’s 15 minute drive to our son’s house. My son’s home is small and both of his children and their significant others were there. At this time road construction is a problem getting from cottage to places most guests would it be planning on visiting. The home was beautiful and every detail was attended to. Met and exceeded expectations. Very cozy. I could live there. Would not hesitate to return and recommend to others.

Great house for relaxing getaway

Beautiful, cozy, and fun home for relaxing. This home has everything for a family to have fun and spend quality time away from the business of day to day work. The home owner is very kind and welcoming. Communication is great and we definitely recommend this home for a stay.

Wylie Cottage

Super cute cottage thats perfect for a small family retreat. Close enough to access the city life but the surroundings make you feel secluded and woodsy. My family and I truly enjoyed our stay.

So many fun touches

We loved our 3-day stay during a quick Spring Break trip with our 13 year old daughter. We drove into Dallas each day for museums, etc, and then came home to highly competitive ping pong, shuffle board and card games. :) Bethany thought of everything. The coffee/tea setup was great. The game tables were awesome for creating some memories and smack talk. Our daughter LOVED her comfy bed. We all enjoyed sinking back into the recliners for movie time. So comfortable. It was so nice to see how much attention to detail there was in the cleanliness and all of the little touches (like the toothbrush that saved us a late night trip to the store). Thanks so much, Bethany! Looking forward to our next visit.

Christmas Time

Perfect and every appointment thought out with nothing missing in every room. Arrival after dark and house was lit up including a lit Christmas tree to warmly welcome us. Host even had a welcoming and personalized Christmas card. Personal touches meant so much! HIGHLY Recommend. Thank you!

Cozy and quiet

We loved our stay! So many thoughtful touches. Snacks and water when we arrived were much appreciated. Communication was excellent. The double bed was super comfy. The queen was a little hard but it’s nice to have choices. There wasn’t a thing the host didn’t think of. From spare toothbrushes to laundry soap. Towels were big and fluffy and the shower had good pressure. Loved the recliners in the living room where we watched a football game. Would definitely stay here again!

Solo Mom Retreat

I live about 30 minutes away from the property and was seeking some alone time to reset after several hectic months. This was a very cozy spot with many special touches. It feels remote and tucked away, but is only about 10 minutes away from restaurants, stores, and downtown Wylie which is very cute. I highly recommend!

A Gem!

My wife and I visited for q family reunion and havent been to the Dallas area in quite a while. We booked this lovely property and its exactly what is described and depicted. A great area not too far from shops and restaurants but secluded enough for peace and privacy. The booking was simple, communication by Bethany was incredible and she simply wants your stay to be perfect. We were welcomed by a personalized letter, wine, snacks and a sweet little cottage type home. We enjoyed our stay in the tree covered area and even the neighbors waved to us every day we drove in and out. Nice accommodations if you enjoy a private area and comfortable living. Who wouldnt?! Thanks Bethany for such a great "homecoming".

Perfect for what we needed!

We loved our stay at the country cottage! It was secluded enough to be a nice break from the busy city, but close enough to have everything we needed. Moody Spring Break

The house was such a nice, clean getaway! Bethany was very attentive to us during our stay. We enjoyed it and never felt more at home than when we were utilizing the movie theater recliners and massive TV!

Cozy Cottage

A quiet and comfy stay! We stayed one night to attend our daughter's AF JROTC Drill Competion. Bethany, thank you so much for your thoughtfull note, wine and snack. The beds were very comfortable! The coffee/tea bar was perfect. We wish we could have stayed longer to use the porch with string lights! If we are ever in Wylie TX again, we will be sure to book your cozy adorable cottage again. Quiet Comfortable Adorable Cottage!

This quiet cottage in the country was perfect for our quick trip to Rockwall to attend our niece's wedding. The cottage was stocked with everything we needed including coffee, tea, several soft throw blankets, all dishware and cleaning supplies, snacks, shampoo, conditioner, and hand soap. Our favorite part of the house was the shuffle board table and the reclining leather chairs in front of the extra large TV. The cottage is perfect for visiting, cooking, playing games, and watching movies ar night after a long day. The beds are comfortable and there are plenty of towels to go around. The owner thought of absolutely everything including a custom welcome sign on the bar along with a personal handwritten note. The communication with the property owner was excellent and they went above and beyond to take care of our needs. Without a doubt, we will be back to stay in this peaceful place again. :-)

I have a passion for customer service that has grown with my jobs at Disneyworld, a camp counselor, and now as a physical therapist. Me and my husband Zak are Aggies and have been married since 2014. We love hanging out with our family, outdoor adventures, and our golden retriever, Oakley. Oakley's ability to make others happy is something we are trying to emulate. :)

We have dreamed of offering a country retreat, where you can escape city life, see the stars, and enjoy seeing a small slice of nature. Having the chance for birds and rabbits to greet you in the stillness, while you enjoy the cooler atmosphere, as we are near Lake Ray Hubbard. Our home is near the lake, and if you walk around the nearby neighborhoods, you can see glimpses of the water, and are a short drive away from several lake activities. We are centrally located for many local shops, dining, and experiences in Wylie, Murphy, Rockwall, Rowlett, Garland/Firewheel, and easy access to reach the main roads to Plano/Dallas. However, we have you stocked with fun activities, including a dining room table turned into a ping pong table, shuffle board, dominoes, cards, Smart TV, and other family fun games. Come enjoy this home away from home!
