Every night, the smoke detector beeped all night. Would love to go back to this place, if the smoke detector can be fixed and not beep. Other people also complained about this in their reviews. Could you please fix the smoke detector? We were not able to sleep because it kept beeping. Other than that, lovely place overall and great golf cart. Thank you.

Great Location!!

The location of this condo it’s great. You’re literally staying at the village, which is typically called a strip with all the shops and little restaurants are and you’re a golf cart ride from the beach and the local grocery store. Once you park your vehicle you will not have to move again. This is a great location And the condo is right by the pool.

Walks out to the pool, located right on Baytowne, and minimal hall noise compared to other buildings we have stayed in. Golf cart is always hand to have! Host was very responsive with the couple of questions we had!

Clean and convenient condo close to north 30A

We prefer the North part of 30A and this location was great. Close to Topsail SP and beautiful beaches! Highly recommend.

Fun beach trip

We love this location! It was just steps to the pool and a close walk to shops and restaurants. we parked our car upon arriving at this property and didn’t get back in it until check out day. So much to see and do. Great place for families with kids.

We loved everything about this condo! Very clean and accommodating. So close to the pool and just a short walk to dining and entertainment! Very short drive to the beach. We have 2 kids (9 & 7) and they both enjoyed this condo! Thank you for the ease in renting this property!

Time to reconsider Baytowne

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We've stayed at 308 Pilothouse somewhere b/w 5-10x over years and several other places at BTW. The experience is losing its charm. The dog poop on the patio wasn't expected. We miss the sectional couch and don't care for the smaller couch and two uncomfortable chairs - but i'm not the owner, so ok. The neighbor smoking on the patio and smell of marijuana from other neighbors doesn't add to a good time. Check the smoke detector for old battery, b/c it beeped all night. I think BTW is on the decline. The whole place isn't what it used to be. We will consider a different condo/community next summer. The golf cart was a great update, thanks for that.

Location Perfect!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Comfortable retreat with easy access to the pool, village restaurants, and private parking garage. As with any rental, we noticed a few maintenance issues, that if were a primary home, would be unacceptable, but as a short term vacation rental, easy to deal with. The maintenance issue I would suggest making a priority is the clothes dryer. There is definitely something broken with it’s ability to produce heat. As for the subject of cleanliness...I would say it is one of the best experiences we have had in a rental. Everything was immaculate and the welcome music and info gift set were a great touch. The no contact check-in was simple as well with the use of the app provided. We will recommend this property to our friends.

We loved having access to the pool area right from our patio, and the unit was so close to the stairs / elevator leading down to the parking garage. I would suggest having the cleaning service clean ALL of the pillows on the bed. You know the ones that no one really "uses," they are just for decoration? Well one of them had something on it...not sure exactly what it was, but one can only image what all it could be...The only other suggestion would be to fix the toilet handle...you have to hold it down until it completely finishes flushing. There's nothing wrong with the toilet, just gets old having to stand there and hold down the handle. Other than those two suggestions for changes, we would most definitely recommend the condo to others! And would stay it in again in a heartbeat.

Best Baytowne Condo!

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We had a wonderful time staying at Pilot House 308 during the ECBC Tournament! We have been coming every year for several years for this weekend and have stayed all over the resort and Baytowne. This cozy unit just became our favorite by far. You simply cannot beat the location and the amount of space you actually get for a one bedroom. We love that these owners opted for a second regular bed in the nook off the living room rather than a bunk bed like most other similar units, really making it more of a two bedroom. We loved being able to pop right outside and walk back and forth to the pool so easily, not to mention the quick convenience to the village below. Our only complaints are very minute and in no way diminished our trip or this review, but we would've preferred a keurig to the traditional coffee pot (I know, I know, *first world problems*). Also, I will note that the coffee table bottom was broken upon our arrival and the toilet lever jammed when you flushed it and we constantly had to go back to fix it so it wasn't continuously running and not filling the tank. Finally, we did experience a very unneccessary and ridiculously rude encounter with a man who said he was an owner in the building over a golf cart parking spot (we had parked in it when no other parking was available one evening with intentions to go back and move our car). He violently banged on our unit door but then disappeared before we could answer it. Which honestly startled/frightened us. It got even more weird when we then heard him come into the back gate from the courtyard, but when we opened the back door he was gone, but his very strong Tyler laundry detergent smell lingered behind (if you know, you know). We walked out the gate and he came up to accost us over the parking issue and the most rude, demeaning, and entitled manor. Certainly no way to treat guests to the property, especially when we responded kindly and apologetically. But otherwise, we had a wonderful trip! Thank you!

Reviewer Comments: We accidentally booked the wrong dates in a different platinum rental, but their customer service was very helpful in finding us some thing else at the last minute. We ended up staying in pilot house and we are very happy that we did. Brand new construction, we could not hear any of our neighbors. The pool was great, and we loved the area. Little shops and restaurants, things to do for kids, live music and fireworks. We had a great time and would definitely stay there again.

So charming, we really loved this condo. Loved the walk-out patio, just steps to the pool area. Big bathroom with two separate showers made getting ready quicker for the family. They also provided beach chairs, umbrella, and a small cooler perfect for taking to the beach. Gorgeous setting, very convenient, we will be coming back!
