This original west Ketchum home/Penthouse apartment is perfect for one or two people and offers privacy and will welcome to home. It is a very comfortable space. The apartment has 13 foot ceilings. The Large bedroom suite has two closets and queen four poster bed as well as a queen futon as well as a desk and chair. Living room has a sofa bed, gas fireplace, 32' TV and HBO and music channels. New floors in the kitchen and bathroom..The large kitchen is bright and has everything needed to prepare your meals at home. Refrigerator has filtered water/ ice-maker. The large bathroom has tub/shower unit with glass doors, Washer/Dryer area, many shelves and drawers and outdoor closet for extra storage. The Penthouse apartment has two covered decks. It is situated among large trees for spectacular views in all directions, within hearing distance of Bigwood River and close river access. Beautiful and Quiet street, private and large fenced backyard with mature trees. 5 to 10 block Easy walking distance to all Ketchum amenities. It is a close ski to the River Run lifts and the bus stop is just around the corner Not appropriate for people who in unable to take staiirs . Two blocks from the Blaine County Trail System and Bike path.

This property has a large fenced backyard that offers unique privacy.

Rates based on double occupancy. Any extra guests are charged $25 per person and per night.

Julie was very welcoming and helpful. The place had all the basic amenities, was comfortable and the location was perfect. We were able to walk to downtown Ketchum and you’re a short 5 minute drive to the River Run lodge. Thanks for a great stay. We’ll be back for a summer visit.

Dog Friendly Sun Valley Apartment

Cozy Sun Valley apartment in a quite neighbor. Close to restaurants and skiing. Fireplace was great. Kitchen has what you need to prepare you meals. Julie is a very good host. We will be back!

Cozy and convenient!

What a great little find in the heart of Ketchum. Wonderfully private and quiet, yard for dog was a huge bonus. It is an upstairs flat so that’s relevant for anyone mobility constrained. It is a short drive to the free lot at the base of Sun Valley, or a flat walk for those more intrepid than we are. Easy walking distance to downtown too. We enjoyed our stay immensely. Great Stay with Easy Access to Skiing

We had an excellent time in Sun Valley, and Julie was a great host. The lodging is as described, very comfortable with a very functional kitchen. The only issue was there was no fresh snow, but we won't hold that against Julie! :-) Brad

Great value for ski vacation

I didn't feel comfortable or safe.

My husband and I have used VRBO for many years and this time I decided to do a solo art trip. It brings me no joy to leave a review like this. #1. My fault - I forgot to notice that there's no air conditioning. This is an upstairs unit which faces the setting sun and fills with heat for many hours even with open windows for cross breezes. #2. The host, Julie, lives in the downstairs unit with her boyfriend and started off nice enough. However she quickly got into way too much personal information.. including that if I hear arguing or yelling during the night not too worry it'll be okay. She went on to explain that he stays in the upstairs unit when no one is renting it or if she gets tired of him downstairs with her. (Shortening this up quite a bit) ...I decided not to stay not even one night in case they started arguing and forgot I was upstairs. I just didn't feel comfortable or safe. When I texted her my two reasons for not staying she texted me back calling me a racist and had other choice things to say. I never said anything about her or her boyfriend, but she did describe him to be a 6'3" Jamaican man with dreadlocks. - I don't know what else to say other than I didn't get a good feeling from her or the entire situation.

Birthday stay

We came up to Ketchum to celebrate my birthday. Julie maintained exceptional contact with us before arrival and we had excellent instructions to her place. We brought our golden retriever and she welcomed him with open arms. Her guest apartment was very comfortable, neat, and clean. We had lovely views. The stay was also,utely wonderful in every way.

Great location.

This was an apartment on top of the property with a great view of the mountains. The location was very quiet and beautiful. This is a great place to stay if one has a dog as the owner has a huge fenced in back yard. There is also a walking path not too far away which was great. The owner , Julie, was very nice and helpful.

Expectations Exceeded

This home is ideal. The location, cleanliness and amenities lend themselves to a comfortable and private stay. The host, Julie, is a gem of a lady - helpful, accommodating, and kind. I was there for a snowboarding trip. Access to the mountain was convenient via the Mountain Ride stop or a short walk. Everything was as advertised, except that the description doesn’t quite capture all that is great about this property . . . highly recommended for small families, couples and singles.

A Gem in the Jewel Box that is Ketchum!

And no, we’re not just talking about the sweet golden retriever who resides on the property! This was everything we could have hoped for - warm, cozy, comfortable, and an easy 15 minute walk to both the slopes and Main Street (just far enough away from the town center that you can really see the stars shining bright). Julie couldn’t have been nicer or more accommodating, even waiting up past 11pm to ensure we had no problems getting in upon arrival, and stocking us with fresh coffee and milk. Thanks for everything Julie!

Julie was great! She and her dog Abbey were very welcoming of us and our dog Polly.

Location, location, location!! Could walk everywhere, downtown Ketchum, River Run resort and Big Wood River. Julie had everything ready for our arrival and she was very accommodating. The apartment was just right. Great size for two or a small family.

Just right!

Clean and today, great location and delightful hostess (and her dog). Julie’s place was just perfect for my ski trip. She went out of her way to make sure the accommodations were perfect in every way. A previous review talked about problems with dogs. My 75# bundle of 4-legged joy Mr Al came along on this trip. He and Julie’s dog got along just fine. It was easy to have him there and there were no other issues. Thanks Julie!

Tidy one bedroom apartment with a nice enclosed yard located above a very difficult owners residence

Our stay which was pleasant at first turned into a nightmare because after the property owner claimed our dogs were barking one evening, which we apologized for and never left them unattended again, she became belligerent and accused us of all kinds of things like unlawfully downloading things from the internet, destroying her sub-floor and maliciously smashing her stone fireplace, none of which she could substantiate nor was she willing to come upstairs and point out exactly what damage she was accusing us of. We could not wait to get out of that place, left it in perfect condition and took pictures to prove it, so she could not claim otherwise. Renter Beware!

Comfortable and cozy

We thoroughly enjoyed a quiet, yet friendly stay at this small upstairs apartment, fully equipped, cozy with nice views and a lovely covered deck looking toward snow covered mountains. Our host was helpful and very accommodating. We’ll return on out next visit to Ketchum.

Julie was really helpful and made our stay enjoyable. The apartment is really cozy and has everything you need, including great access to skiing, hiking and town. Abbey is a great dog playmate and we loved staying here.

pleasant condo stay, charges for beyond 2

We enjoyed our stay there, it was in a very residential area, but close walk to town. It is upstairs apartment and very spacious, not newer fancy, but very comfortable. Only issue was it is not stated in the information that she charges $25 per night per person for anyone beyond 2. It fits 4-6 just fine, but charges for more. She is very pleasant with a nice golden retriever.

Year around spectacular beauty and endless activities..........This property is on a very beautiful and quiet street and only blocks from the main downtown was originally a horse property and commercial Frenchmans' Creek. It offers a unique perspective and vintage feel of old West Ketchum with a rugged ridge of the last pioneer cabins sits across the street.
