Breathtaking ocean views from 2nd and 3rd floor front balconies of this newly remodeled townhome and the historic Tybee Lighthouse will welcome you to Stella Maris (Star of the sea). The home features 3 bedrooms and 2 1/2 bathrooms in the main house. A studio apartment on the ground level features a queen bed, television, DVD player and movies, granite countertops in the kitchen with refrigerator with ice maker and new appliances including microwave and countertop oven. Everything you need in a kitchen is provided in this second kitchen including cookware, dishes, utensils, and a coffee pot. New flooring in studio and upstairs bedrooms plus new beds, mattresses, and bedding throughout all in summer 2022. The mattress in the apartment is new September 2023. In the garage you will find bicycles, beach cart, beach chairs, beach toys, umbrella, etc. In addition, the garage features a gaming area with Playstation and a few games. There is a clothes dryer in the garage that works much better than the dryer on the third floor.
As you move into the main house a foyer with utility closet that has cleaning supplies and extra lightbulbs etc. The second floor is an open concept living room, kitchen, dining area, including a bar with additional seating. There are two balconies on this floor with ocean views and seating for meals or just relaxing. This floor also has a Pack n Play, baby gates, high chair, and and activity table for children. This room includes a new (summer2022) sleeper sofa. This is the fifth bed. We have an air mattress also available for use anywhere to create another sleeping space.
The third floor features 3 bedrooms with 2 king beds and one queen. Each room has a balcony with ocean, nature, and neighborhood views. In addition, each room has a television, ample closet space, fan, extra seating, dresser, and comfortable bed!
Located in Captain's Row in one of Tybee Island's most beautiful North end neighborhoods you will be surrounded by nature, wildlife, and hear relaxing ocean breezes. Your walk to the beach begins just a few steps from your front door on a private crossover reserved for residents and guests.
The Tybee Lighthouse and museum, North Beach bar and grill, Tybee Science and Marine Center, and Jaycee Park are all in walking distance. You are very close to the Tybee Post Theatre, Cockspur Grille, Hucapoos famous for their pizza, and shopping. Bike, golf cart, and kayak rental is just around the corner. There are 4 bicycles provided. There is one outside security camera that is pointed at the driveway. The camera has the capability to record but will not be set to record unless there is a concern for someone’s safety.
You are conveniently located only 20 minutes away from Savannah's historic squares, River Street and City Market. Other area attractions Skidaway Island State Park, Bonaventure Cemetery, Forsyth Park, and many tours available on foot, trolley, bus or bike. If you are looking to spend some time on the water there are plenty of options. The island has kayak, and jet ski rentals. Local marinas provide dolphin and other boat tours, boat rentals, bait and tackle shop, and water taxi to Dafuskie Island.
