Charming Post and Beam Cottage! Walk to the beach, Tennis, Bike Path, & Shuttle

Newly renovated post and beam, nautical styled cottage, ready for a peaceful and lovely summer holiday. Walk to north shore beaches in ten minutes, play tennis on one of the two neighborhood association tennis courts, and enjoy the access to the ponds, harbor, bike path and shuttle bus. There is a private, landscaped yard with gas grill, outdoor shower, and outdoor picnic table. Four miles from the top of Main Street, 1.5 miles from Madaket, and around the corner from the bike path and shuttle bus, your access to town and the island is easy and at your door step. Fisher's landing is a private and quiet neighborhood, surrounded by Linda Loring's Bird Sanctuary and the North Shore Dionis Beaches on one side, and Madaket Harbor and Long Pond on the other. The streets are one way, with easy access to biking and walking trails. Surrounded by nature, ponds, Madaket harbor, north shore beaches and bike paths and walking trails: there is something for everyone!

Our cottage was recently renovated; new pine floors, fresh paint, new kitchen and bathroom appliances, and brand new furniture. This is a new summer season rental, offering an impeccably clean and beautifully furnished and cared for home. A private yard and deck, with outdoor shower, gas grill, deck furniture and outdoor picnic table await you. Our post and beam, cathedral ceiling and open floor plan cottage is sunny and bright. It offers two bedrooms, with a twin bedroom downstairs, and a full master bedroom with queen bed, upstairs. The upstairs bedroom is accessed by a nautical captain's ladder, leading to a sitting area, which overlooks the cathedral, open living room floor plan.

Small and charming, this cottage offers you the advantage of living in Fisher's Landing, and all that this area offers, while providing a lovely nautical home for you to enjoy during your time in Nantucket.

Please note that we are a very strict, no pet policy rental. This protects the integrity of our future guests, who have allergy concerns, etc. Thank you for your understanding. We are excited to welcome you to Fisher's Landing and this special cottage retreat in Nantucket!

Weekend getaway

We loved the cottage itself and location. It was outside of Nantucket but it was super easy to get to with the shuttle and the perk of being outside of town is that it was very peaceful. Lots to do on the island itself and surrounding areas. We would stay again.

Cute guest cottage

We loved our stay. The cottage was very well equipped, clean and private (even though it is a guest cottage on the back of the property). The owners were so nice and willing to help with dinner recommendations and island suggestions. We’ve been coming to Nantucket for 25 years and would highly recommend this property! We loved our family vacation in this beautiful location close to walking trails, 40th Pole, Madaket beach (Millies) and public transportation to town.

We really enjoyed the peaceful location of this guest cottage, nestled in a beautiful quiet residential neighborhood about 5 miles west of town. It is cozy; we thought the size was perfect for two people. The property is well taken care of, and exactly as advertised on the listing. We brought our bikes on the ferry and stayed here for three nights in the 2nd week of September which was a perfect time to visit: summery beach weather during the day, and sweatshirt weather at night. The island has very nice paved bike paths, and we also got $18 unlimited ride three-day passes for the Wave shuttle bus (which has a bike rack), which conveniently stops right at the corner of this neighborhood (once every hour on the off-season). This cottage was a perfect home base for adventuring around the island and Karen was a gracious host full of local recommendations, highly recommend.

Hidden Gem in Madaket

We had an amazing stay at Karen and Seth’s home in Madaket. Our family of four had everything we could have possibly needed for our special, family vacation. Karen and Seth were so friendly, they could not have been more accommodating. Our children loved playing in the yard and the home was comfortable and clean. It is located near the most amazing uncrowded beaches where our children were able to swim, and not a far drive or shuttle ride to town. We hope to visit again soon and cannot thank Karen and Seth enough for being such hospitable hosts!

Wonderful Stay

Karen is the best host. She truly cares about her guests and made sure that we had a wonderful week. The cottage was nice and cozy. We enjoyed the bike rides and several close beaches around.

The Perfect New England Summer Getaway

My family of four rented this charming cottage for our July getaway. The cottage had everything we needed and more. The location was ideal - quiet and removed from the hustle and bustle yet easy to access transportation into town when we wanted to dine out or shop. Our family enjoyed exploring the beaches and taking in the gorgeous scenery. The island was dreamy. We hope to return again someday. I highly recommended renting here for your next getaway.

Lovely Nantucket Cottage

What a wonderful little cottage on the side of the island with the best sunsets and Millies! We loved staying here, Karen and her husband were attentive and gracious hosts. They even helped us unlock our luggage late at night (we left the keys at another state/hotel!!) The cottage is clean, peaceful, and in a lovely location. We can’t wait to return.

A quaint little cottage just a short walk from the beach through a picturesque bird sanctuary for gorgeous sunsets. Owner is knowledgeable and extremely friendly, provided many tips for places to eat and memorable activities. Loved the winch to the second level!

ACK is always a good idea.

For the 3 of us this little home was a perfect 5 night stay. The owners are available to help if needed and it’s a cute and clean place. We did turn the love seat each night to watch tv and put it back before bed... not a big deal ... We loved the walk to beach access and all the house amenities.

Tiny property. The “master” is up a treacherous ladder so we ended up sleeping in bunk beds on the main floor. The owner was nice in the beginning but then arranged workers on the house beginning early in the morning - ruined the morning. Also required us to do much of the cleaning ourselves - eg stripping own beds. So if anything approximating luxury is what you are looking for, this is not the place

A lovely cottage in Fisher's Landing

We had the great fortune to rent this fantastic find in the quiet, & well situated community of Fisher's Landing, located in the western part of Nantucket. This immaculate, charming cottage is fully up to date with every convenience imaginable. Owners Karen and Seth Gottlieb saw to every detail in the crisp, current decor in this comfortable, welcoming home. The two bedroom unit with private yard, gas grill & outdoor heated shower, was ideally sized for our family of three. The Gottliebs are wonderfully gracious hosts, and offer plenty of suggestions for island sights & activities. It's a short walk to the beach through a bird sanctuary, a nature lover's dream, for an exclusive view of protected Nantucket. Bring your binoculars! Easy access to the busline and bike path make navigation a breeze. This was our first time at the cottage, and it certainly won't be our last. We've found a new home, and have made lovely new friends, at our favorite destination. We highly recommend this choice as a terrific HomeAway in Nantucket. Pat Welch Sept 30, 2018

Charming Jewelbox of a Cottage

We so enjoyed our time at this quaint little cottage. It is perfectly decorated in a very Nantucket feel, yet is fresh and new so isn't at all musty. We found the walk to the beach nearby very enjoyable, with the beach being calm due to the side of island it is on. We went to Millies for dinner a ton & for the famous sunsets, which are spectacular. But you do have to bike to Madaket beach as way too far to walk. And the cottage is very small, so if you are more than 2-3 people or you want to hang out in your cottage, think about that. It was perfect for us as we were out and about every day, so we loved coming back and having an outdoor shower & a place to toss everything. Finally, Karen is absolutely fabulous and her reco's are 100% worth taking! We loved our stay and hope to get back to this little gem of a cottage.

Newly renovated in 2015, this is our first season of renting our cottage to summer vacationers. Our post and beam cottage offers privacy, charm, and the perfect location for a lovely Nantucket vacation. Small but cozy, it's really perfect for a family of four or a couple. Please keep in mind that the master bedroom is accessed by a nautical captain's ladder, lending itself to be best suited for the agile bodied. :)

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The location of this Nantucket home is idea. Located in the unique and private neighborhood of Fisher's Landing, nature and privacy surround you, and yet you are only a few miles from Main Street and Madaket, and a short walk to the bike path and shuttle bus (running in and out of town every 30 minutes.) A car is not necessary here, as you have easy access to the shuttle bus and biking. Fisher's Landing offers two tennis courts, a private foot path to the North Shore beaches, a short walk to Long Pond for fishing, turtle watching, and kayaking, and a basketball court to enjoy. Madaket Harbor and Eel point, also a short walk from the cottage, offer the most spectacular evening picnics and sunset watching on the island.
Our renovated and immaculate cottage offers the best of Nantucket, in a location that's hard to beat. The yard is private. The price is right.
