Kokomo Cay

Reviewer Comments: After 20 years, we were finally able to return to Hope Town with our kids, who have grown up hearing us talk about how special this island is to our family. Staying at Kokomo Cay made the trip even more memorable.The house had everything we could have needed and was incredibly well stocked—even thoughtful extras like sunscreen and bug spray. It was spotless, beautifully decorated, and just a short walk from the beach. We especially loved the multiple outdoor spaces, which gave us plenty of places to relax and enjoy the island. The bedrooms were cozy, comfortable, and felt like home.A special thank you to our caretaker, Claire, who went above and beyond. She even texted me after we left about something I had accidentally forgotten and made arrangements to get it back to me. Every interaction we had with the Elbow Cay Properties team was warm, helpful, and welcoming.This trip was everything we had hoped it would be, and Kokomo Cay was the perfect place to make new family memories while revisiting so many old ones. We can’t wait to come back!

Really Great House for Groups

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Location was great, caretakers were awesome.Only complaint is the internet only worked in the main room area. We work when we travel so that was a bit of a challenge.

Excellent Week at Sunsation

Clara, the caretaker, took care of us perfectly. The fresh flowers throughout the house were a nice touch. We enjoyed sitting on the porch and listening to the ocean. Definitely recommend this property!!

Kokomo Cay

Reviewer Comments: We did not book this house on our trip, we got moved to this property because the one we had initially booked (Sea Loft), the generator had caught on fire. It seemed like all the Abaco islands were experiencing island wide power outages just prior to this happening. Elbow Cay Properties was great to work with and finding us a place to stay that had a generator as they were already moving other guest to homes that had generators.The house they moved us to was much larger than the one we had rented and was a beautiful home. They were still trying to get the house ready for us when we arrived and appreciate their efforts to get it ready and such short notice. The only negative we had is the view did not compare to the ocean view we had at our original home and it did not have a private dock, although we were allowed to use the dock at our original house we missed the convenience of it being walking distance from the house.The furnishings in this house were definitely more comfortable and had several outdoor seating areas that were very nice surrounded by lush Landscaping, you could hear the ocean, but you could only get a glimpse of it from certain areas of the deck, we really missed having that full ocean view and looking at the beautiful colors of the water.We felt very safe at both locations, we never locked our doors whenever we left, only at night when we slept. We would recommend either of the properties we stayed at, it all depends on your needs and what you’re looking for.

Highly Recommended stay on Elbow Cay

I highly recommend you book this property ASAP. Sunsations is located in central Elbow Cay, close to everything. On Da Beach Bar and Restaurant is within walking distance and an ideal place for meals or watching the waves with a cold drink - great place to watch a sunrise. Clara and Elbow Cay Properties are A, and communication, service, and flexibility are top notch. The house is perfect for groups with three separate living areas. Everything you would expect is provided. Air conditioning is cold and comfortable in all areas, and showers are hot. Wifi (Starlink) is snappy, but I couldn't get it in the separate bedroom off the kitchen. Coffeemaker has a mesh filter, so no need for coffee filters. The large refrigerator and pantry closet have space for everything. Everything is very expensive on the island, so bring in your groceries from Maxwell's grocery in Marsh Harbour. However, if you need something, there are several convenience stores very close by. White Sound Beach is right out the back and a minute trail walk.

Parents of the groom house

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My stay at Sunsation started long before we arrived. The communication, the rapid responses, the many answered questions were all wonderfully answered. Sunsation is an excellent house with a wonderful layout. Every room has privacy and then the best part of the house, in my opinion, is the common area. The balcony facing the ocean is my favorite. The living room, also facing the ocean is breathtaking. The dinning room is very spacious and also has a magnificent view. The kitchen is huge, very well designed and has plenty of pots pans plates everything that a great kitchen needs.The second bedroom upstairs is also excellent. This bedroom is private and being separated from the main house gives this space a place to get away from the party if someone needs some space. Then there is the downstairs with easy access to the bottom of the house and rapid access to the ocean it is wonderful. If someone is downstairs they can also enjoy privacy or everyone can get together at the downstairs balcony or the huge upstairs balcony. Bottom line. Sunsation worked perfect for me and my family and my guests.

Perfect house for family getaway

The separate bedrooms were great to provide us with our own space, while the living room and decks were very comfortable and had spectacular views.The fully equipped kitchen was a dream to cook in and had everything we needed.Everything was very clean and super comfortable. We loved the location and the short stroll to the beach every day.

Awesome House, Great Location, Amazing Views!

She met us at the dock with a van and helped us move six coolers and a bunch of supplies to the house with a smile. Then, my wife lost her phone in the middle of the trip and Monica activated the Hope Town network. The phone was found and returned very quickly. We spend 2-3 vacations a year in rental houses, and we cook a lot. This house’s kitchen was the best stocked kitchen we have experienced. The views from the house were amazing. We loved the location, which was in between the Settlement and White Sound. The two grocery stores were right around the corner. We kept our boat at the Sunset Exclusive docks - which was also close by - and a shout out to Junior, who was also great. While it would not prevent me from staying here again, the grill was weird. It was a countertop grill place on the deck. I had to kneel to use it. It was out of place for a property of this caliber.

First time in Paradise

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: After several trips as a kid, I was able to visit with my husband and children and they experienced the magic that is Hope Town! Monica was amazing and supported our travels all along the way, not a simple trip with 12 people, but Monica made it easy. We would rent Sunsation over and over, but two things to keep in mind, the second bedroom is separate and might not be ideal with little kids, better for tweens/teens are multiple couples. And no laundry, but laundry service is available down the road.
