NO ELEVATOR: The apartment is on what is called the first floor it Italy, but is really the second floor because there is a mezzanine in between. There is no elevator because the building is 800 years old and is under heritage laws that don't allow it. There are three flights of steps with landings in between. They are not difficult, but they are NOT suitable for anyone with mobility issues.
Florence is the ideal base for exploring much of Italy. High-speed trains take you to Rome and Milan in a couple of hours. Half an hour to Bologna.
Day-trips to many of the beautiful towns and villages ofTuscany, Reggio-Emilia and Umbria, which are only an hour or so away by train and car.
Tariff is all-inclusive, with no seasonal variations and no extras of any kind.
