The properties West Side location has a lovely White Mountain view, sunrises, warm morning sun and cooler summer afternoons plus it's a great spot to catch a rainbow or watch the moon rise over the lake.

To our delight, tenants frequently comment that it's the cleanest best equipped cottage they have ever rented.

Wonderful week

Love the Clover Cottage

Small, but fully equipped with modern appliances. We loved the porch! Great location. We had a great time at Kezar Lake and the property even had an awesome little beach. We will be back!

Perfect summer getaway!

Clover Cottage exceeded my expectations. Pictures cannot do justice to the property and the house. We were a party of 4 adults with our dog staying for the week. Most of the time we spent swimming on the sandy beach, on the boat or just relaxing and enjoying the view. The kitchen had everything I needed to make nice summer meals. At night I slept great on the comfortable bed. We all enjoyed our stay and hated to leave on the last day. Thank you!

beautiful lakefront home

The house was so incredibly clean, the lake was beautiful and the amenities including the various boats and paddleboards made this an amazing and easy vacation rental. Plus we could bring our dog which was a huge bonus.

Perfect Lake Cottage

My family had a great week at Clover Cottage. The house was very clean and well maintained, and the kitchen was outfitted with everything you need to cook for the week. When we weren’t swimming, using the boat/kayak, or playing in the yard, we spent most of our time in the fantastic screened porch. Hesitant to write this review because we’re already thinking about 2022 and don’t want it to book up too quickly, Thanks!!

Great vacation!

We had a great week at Janet’s house! Our 4yo son loved to play trucks in the beach area & the baby loved to float in the baby boat in the shallow calm lake water near the beach. We all (not the baby) loved jumping off the dock you swim out to. Meals on the porch, beautiful sun rises and s’mores in the outdoor fireplace made for a great vacation week!

Cute cottage on Kezar

Great Property

Clover Cottage was perfect for my Family of 4 plus our Dog. The owner has thought of anything you will need & the cottage and property was spotless clean when we arrived. The Sunrises over Kezar were epic and we enjoyed the sounds of the loons and even an owl calling out while we were sitting by the outdoor lakeside fireplace , a very special place indeed.

Chill and adventuresome vacation at same time

House was very, very clean. Kitchen was extemely well appointed (coffee grinder, spices, cooking olive oil and better olive oil for finishing,), the screened in porch is wonderful,and location could not be beat. Wonderful chill days relaxing by and in the lake, with beatuiful views, mixed with hiking, kayaking, canoeing, and paddleboarding.

Lake bliss

Our family (parents + girls 16, 12, an 12) and golden retriever thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The bedroom and living space worked well for us, the kitchen was intelligently and thoughtfully stocked with any sort of cooking item we wanted, the screened porch was GREAT and was where we spent a great deal of time when we weren't enjoying the lake. The opportunity for our kids to try all sorts of water craft (paddleboard, kayak, canoe, rowboat) was great. They especially loved the paddleboard, jumping off the raft, fishing from the dock, and just swimming in the warm water. The location was what we were looking for--away from crowds. Loved every minute.

Outstanding

Just returned home from a week at Clover Cottage with my husband and our three 20+ year old children. The property is beautiful and we thoroughly enjoyed swimming and boating. The house is lovely - clean, freshly renovated, nicely furnished and supplied. Our family enjoyed a fun, relaxing and restful week. Thank you Jan for your thoughtfulness and for doing an outstanding job.

Great property. Simple place but everything taken care of basically. Many thoughtful details such as good bedding, personal care products, boating toys, basic food prep needs, very clean surroundings and covid minded precautions. So grateful to have a place that allows a dog!!!

Beautiful lake home

This place is just lovely! Being right on the lake is wonderful and we loved having access to the watercraft (paddleboard, kayak, canoe). The house has been recently renovated and was well stocked, especially the kitchen. Given the COVID situation, we cooked all our meals and it had everything we needed. Janet is very responsive and helpful - I misunderstood the instructions and didn't bring bed sheets and she very kindly brought over clean sheets for us, without any hesitation. I would definitely recommend this place and hope we will get a chance to return!

Great stay

We had a terrific stay at the house. We found the house very clean at check in and the owner has thought of almost every amenity to include. The kitchen was well stocked with pots, pans and cooking utensils. Perfect spot on the lake as well with a great combination of privacy if you wanted it and being right on the water. It's a very short ride down the street to the public boat ramp which is nice if you're bringing your own boat. We hope to be back next year.

Relaxing Stay on Kezar Lake at The School House

We had a great time at The School House on Kezar Lake. We are a family of five - two adults, three teens - and we traveled with our black lab mix. We were looking for a quiet lake to enjoy swimming, kayaking, and canoeing. A place to read a great book and hang out together. The School House was the perfect spot. The swimming is fantastic as the lake is very clean. It was also a relatively quiet lake - not a lot of boat traffic. There is a nice size lawn for throwing a frisbee or playing wiffle ball. The house was very clean when we arrived. We enjoyed the open layout of the first floor. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook our meals. The charcoal grill worked well. The beds were comfortable - we slept really well. We also enjoyed the luxury of having a washer and dryer. We played a couple of rounds of golf at the Lake Kezar Country Club - fun course, inexpensive, easy to get a tee time. For really great food, take a short trip to the Stow Corner Store - by far the best food we ate out during our week. The owner, Janet, was very accommodating, friendly, and helpful. We hope to stay there again and we would recommend The School House to our family and friends.

Wonderful Lakefront Cottage

Sadly, our wonderful week at "the Schoolhouse" on the shores of Kezar Lake will come to an end tomorrow. This property has everything you need for an enjoyable vacation in the beautiful White Mountain's lake region. Depending on your personal interests, you can swim, boat and relax by the lake all day or you can head off to North Conway for shopping, nightlife and tourist attractions. For the more adventurous types, you can enjoy some of the best hiking and river canoeing found anywhere. Whatever you do, make sure you stop by Ebenezer's Pub. It's just two miles up the road and it has been named the No. 1 beer destination in the world with over 800 different beers on site (and pretty good food, too). When you return to the Schoolhouse after a long day of vacationing, you will truly feel like you are "home." It seems like Janet has thought of everything. If you need it, the Schoolhouse has it. The interior is decorated with care to provide a warm and easy New England living environment. Everything is extremely clean and well maintained. We will definitely recommend this property to all of our friends and we look forward to staying here again in the future.

Lovely cabin, great location

We had a wonderful vacation at the Schoolhouse! The cottage itself is very peaceful, comfortable, clean and well-equipped. There is a large grassy yard to play in and our 4 year old loved digging in the sandy beach and swimming in the lake. The lake is a great place for kayaking and fishing. The Lovell area is close to terrific hiking, Storyland and other kid-friendly activities. We are looking forward to returning.

A wonderful, relaxing spot!

My family loved our stay at the School House! The house itself is very clean and very comfortable. Janet is extremely accomodating and made sure we had everything we needed. We loved the kayak and spent a lot of time exploring this beautiful lake with it - when we weren't relaxing on the dock, fishing, swimming, and sunning ourselves on the float, watching the loons swim by. It's an easy trip to Sunday River where we had a great time on the zip line and mountain biking, as well as shopping and dining in North Conway. Thank you!

charming lake front cottage

Sitting on the lake view porch you can hear the loons crooning and the melodies drift across the lake from the music resort. We were transported to another world. Sunset drinks on the dock and floating on the lake were favorite past times.Truly a 1st rate vacation spot. The house was great - clean, comfortable with everything needed for a great vacation.

About our family:
We have been enjoying summers on Kezar Lake for five generations. My grandfather bought our first cottage in 1944. We love hiking, fishing, boating and bird watching as well as just floating on the lake in a tube.
Preserving the beauty of Kezar Lake and the surrounding area has always been important to us.
Lovell is now our year round home.
About the property:
We have two rental cottages on our five-acre property. They were purchased by my family to be used as rental properties and are set up with your vacation needs in mind. They are private residences with their own gradual, sandy beaches, yards and docks and plenty of sun . Both are listed on VRBO and Homeaway.com Listings # 305700 and 309030.

The cottages are historically interesting properties.
"Leaning Pines", 15 Sullivan Rd (Listing #309030) was originally a general store in Center Lovell and was moved across the frozen lake to its current location many decades ago. It has undergone extensive renovation but the history can still be seen in the antique poured glass windows and New England knotty pine cottage style. There is still one Lovell resident who recalls this grandfather telling him about moving the house across the frozen lake.
"Clover Cottage" 11 Sullivan Rd (Listing #305700) was one of Lovell original one room schoolhouses. This building was moved from its original location to the lake many decades ago. The cottage has been completely renovated!
