One Particular Harbor is a beach rental located in the Angola By The Bay community in Lewes, Delaware. This 3 BR 2 Bath, sleeps 8. OPH has 2 living areas, 2 decks surrounded by mature trees in a friendly community with pool, marina, crab docks, kayak launch, and playground. OPH is a fun, relaxing, convenient home about a 20 minute drive from the beaches.
Please note this house uses Chromecast streaming (no cable), keyless entry. We rely on the VRBO app or website to communicate. The community is gated and 2 key fobs for the gate will be available for use during your stay. Please note that you must bring your own bed linens, or understand that our house cleaners charge extra for laundry and making up the beds.

Host was very repsonsive and helpful, unfortunately we ran into an issue where she had pre-existing carpet bugs and the infeststion got bad. She did have a crew come trest the house but the cleaners after did not do the best. Leaving dead bugs around. We had to put the dogs away and get a hotel for several days(she offered to compinsate but never followed through with it) great place but inspect prior to moving family and personal into the home.

Overall the stay was great. Finding an affordable stay with a dog can be problematic at times, luckily the owner was able to work with us. It was further from the beach than I thought at first but it was nice being away from all the craziness when we didn't want to be right in it and shopping was within 10-15 minutes drive. A tv in bedroom would have helped me sleep but the owner did let me get a next day Amazon delivery so I grabbed a cheap projector which did the job on the ceiling.

We loved One Particular Harbor! The house was cozy and in a safe, gated community, making it perfect for our family getaway. It was nearby all the local attractions and beaches, and Penny was helpful but also not overbearing as a host. Overall, there is not much more you can ask for in a Vrbo rental!

The home was beautiful and just as pictured. The owner was available as needed and maintained open communication during our stay. The home is located close to beaches but far enough away to be removed from the hustle & bustle. The kitchen was stocked with essentials which lessened what needed to be packed. Would highly recommend for families with multiple children looking for quiet but wanting to visit beaches.

It was our second time staying here and it was very nice. We really appreciate Pennys communication. There was a storm and the power went out and she got back to us quickly. We would stay here again.

FANTASTIC! Home was beautiful and everything we needed, and more! Made our stay over the top! Communication was ! Every e mail was answered in seconds. Disappointed

My hubby and i thought the house was alittle dirty. The neighborhood was really nice. Check in and check out was goid. There was a tv but would not correspond with the network even thought we tried about 9 times. I was disappointed about no tv. Suggest maybe a Roku tv or cable to watch even local news. The house was decorated nicely. The pillows were terrible, flat as a pancake. Had to go and buy new pillows for the bed. I would not stay there agaun.

Absolutely wonderful place to stay!

Great communication with host and perfectly clean, beautiful home! Very nice community for walks with our dog and crabbing dock just around the corner. Plenty of room at the house and we loved the bright, cheery colors and beach theme! Conveniently located to everything in Lewes and Rehoboth. Will definitely return for another stay!! Wedding trip

Communication with owner was quick and easy. Housekeeper could do a little better with cleaning under beds and furniture as well as outdoor spaces.

Perfect vacation!

This property was exactly as advertised. The house was welcoming and comfortable. It has everything you need to feel at home. It has a great Jimmy Buffett vibe (hence the name) and it was easy to relax. It was my husband and I, plus our small dog. The neighborhood is quiet and so pretty. Lots of great places to walk. I spent my summers as a child in this community, and it was the perfect dose of nostalgia. I highly recommend this place if you’re looking for a relaxing getaway. I’d love to do this trip next year, and stay longer!

Best 5 days

Our vacation that was with two daugters and their families on different days was the epitome of connections. The house is unbelievably comfortable and accomodating. The neighborhood is so friendly and quiet, even though we were strangers they told us about the activities at the Community Center and invited us to attend.It is centrally located and is easily within driving distances to beaches and other points of interest. But the best part was the commitment of the owner to make our stay to be everything that we had hoped for. We would absolutely recommend making this your vacation destination.

Perfect Family Getaway!

The location was perfect for our family of 3 and 2 dogs. We wanted something tucked away but still close enough to the beach/coastal highway. Penny was very timely will responding to any communication. Definitely recommend staying here!

We love this house! We purchased OPH in 2006, and it's been our home away from home ever since. It would be a shame for it to sit empty when we're not there, so come enjoy the house, the neighborhood, and the beautiful beaches and waterways!

The downstairs has everything you need. Bonus is the upstairs with the roof top deck and the second living area. If your family vacation involves mom/dad, kid(s) and grandparent(s), the layout of this house is ideal with 2 bedrooms downstairs and the privacy of the upstairs for parents to have a little retreat.

O que faz essa propriedade ser única?

The Angola by the Bay community gives you plenty to do and explore with a summer pool, tennis courts, crab docks, kayak launch, playground, and marina/boat launch (ask us about bringing your boat as a guest to the boat launch). The community is on Herring Creek from which one can access the Rehoboth Bay by boat.

Recently the community trails committee has been mapping and marking the many trails in the community for easy walks in nature within steps of our One Particular Harbor. These trails offer a quiet respite from the busyness of the summer season.

We see egrets, hear hoot owls, feel the splash of water against our kayak on the creek, inhale the fresh air. It's a beautiful place in every "sense."

In the vicinity are all the water sports one could ask for, paddleboard rentals, sightseeing and fishing excursions, skim boarding, or just splashing at the edge of the calmer Delaware Bay while watching the glorious sunset. We love going to the summer Wednesday night family-friendly bonfires in Dewey Beach (bring marshmallows!). And we have spent a small fortune to win a stuffed animal at Funland on the Boardwalk in Rehoboth Beach - plus there are rides there suitable for ages 2-99.

Our favorite activity? The beach! So many possibilities:
1) Cape Henlopen (CHSP) offers sunsets at The Point (go at low tide if you can), the natural setting at the lifeguarded Ocean Beach/CHSP, and surfing at CHSP Herring Point (or watching surfers).
2) Rehoboth Beach offers plenty of activity on the Boardwalk: Funland, arcades, mini-golf, shopping, and boardwalk walk-up to order food (amazing restaurants too), plus some of the best lifeguards on the planet!
3) Dewey Beach is known for a lively night life, but the beach and fabulous restaurants are why we like go. Lifeguards! Note: there are no public bathrooms.
4) Lewes Town Beach is on the Delaware Bay so the calmer waters are great for young kids.
More beaches are little further drive, but we love these 4 best.
