Perched on the waters edge with breath taking views of Kinsale harbour from every window, this is truly a special place to stay.

Unwind
in a light filled room on the edge of the harbour wall. Sit and watch boats and yachts, seals, herons and even the occasional otter! With a table and chairs outside on the terrace, it’s the perfect spot for a sundowner on sunny evenings, candles and warm blankets provided for those chilly nights!

Relax
on the sofa looking out to sea.
Light the fire and cost upon chilly nights.
Sleep
in a king size bed with a great mattress and crisp white, pure cotton bedding.

Bathe
in the shower room with cruelty free toiletries, heated towel rail, soft towels and fresh cotton gowns.

Make yourself at home
with a Krups coffee maker, French press, microwave and fridge. Find the kitchen stocked with teas, coffee, milk and sugar.

Walk
to all Kinsale has to offer from here. Park your car up and enjoy! The iconic Spaniard pub is just a minute from us, Man Fridays restaurant too. Everything else the town has to offer is a five minute walk away. Do the Scilly Walk and visit the Bulman pub and Charles Fort along the way.

All windows are double glazed and the building is extremely well insulated, keeping you snug even in the harshest storm.

It’s not possible to enter the water from here. There’s public access just along the road, or the Dock beach 5 minutes away.

This is our home and our 2 cats wander freely. Sorry, it’s not suitable for any guest wishing to bring an animal.

Wonderful cottage.....Sara & Ian were great hosts....had a couple rainy days and it was so nice to be in the in the cottage with all the windows overlooking the harbor! Easy walk to town and a couple wonderful restaurants EZ walking distance

The Driftwood Cottage boasts an inviting garden, beautiful views of the harbor and a clean, tastefully decorated interior flooded with natural light. It had all of the amenities we needed, great hosts and was located just a short distance from the downtown. Highly recommend!

Unbelievably beautiful

The Skilly Cottage is a rare gem! Extremely well appointed. The location was off the charts! The gazebo was lovely to sit in and watch the boats go by. Enjoyed watching the birds.

We loved this location. It was exactly as advertised. Beautiful decor, outstanding views overlooking the Kinsale Harbor. Just minutes from the downtown as well as from one of our favorite restaurants, The Spaniard. We also came across a fabulous restaurant, Max’s in downtown, where we celebrated our anniversary. The hosts of Waterfront Coastal Chic, Sara and Ian are incredibly thorough and thoughtful. Their hospitality and informational skills were very much appreciated. If you’re looking for a lovely retreat in one of Ireland’s great towns, this is it!

Fantastic place to Escape

Sara and Ian have carved a little bit of paradise off for the rest of us to enjoy and I thank them for that! It was a wonderful location and waking up on the bay is incredible. Careful if you're driving in town but that pretty typical of Ireland.

Relaxing retreat by the harbor

This property was a perfect vacation spot. We could sit in the peaceful garden looking out onto the harbor, or take a quick walk to town for dinner and shopping. The interior was beautifully decorated and conducive to a feeling of calm and contentment. Having the option to listen to music via Alexa/Spotify was a really nice touch. Our hosts were quite accommodating and very helpful regarding information about the area. Would love to stay here again!

Fabulous- highly recommend!

Oh heavens the views from this beautiful little cottage are absolutely stunning. The cottage is well appointed, new, clean and very comfortable. Having a little hut to sit in on the water’s edge was fabulous. A short and very pretty walk to town, or if you want to simply stroll a few yards to the Man Friday restaurant (great food and another amazing view) or go hear some live music at the Spaniard pub. The owners are way to communicate with and respond quickly to any questions you have. We would definitely recommend and will stay there again.

Cosy cottage; wonderful stay

This is a beautiful, cozy cottage right on the water. It is impeccable and tastefully decorated. Lacks for nothing. Ian and Sara thought of everything and were wonderful hosts. Roads are a bit narrow and steep. Better to walk into Kinsale which was bustling with people and activity.

The Driftwood in Kinsale

Thank you Sara & Ian for opening up your coastal chic cottage, the Driftwood for us to enjoy. It was beautifully decorated, gorgeous gardens, had all the amenities we needed, and the location spectacular! The gazebo/terrace was perfect to watch the Sovereign’s Cup Race sailboats go in and out of the harbor while sipping our wine and the walk to downtown was only 10 minutes. We also enjoyed walking the Scilly trail a number of times. Thanks again! Beautiful memories made. M&M

Excellent location, thoughtfully constructed & decorated, sparkling clean, private, quite

My first time booking w/ VRBO. Found the kinsale stays lovely, quite, private, property with garden and gazebo. Everything we needed was at hand. Well thought out design. Owners within reach but completely private. Separate residence. I was hesitant to book due kitty allergies, but found that they do not go in cottage. Barely saw the little darlings. I would stay again. Well worth the splurge.

A very well presented bedroom/kitchenette about 20 minutes walk from Kinsale town centre. Difficult access due to car park being 100 metres away and quite steep steps ( only 6 or so). Clean and tastefully decorated. The mattress was quite soft. No air conditioning. Lovely views and garden to enjoy, with a little summer house overlooking the water.

We both love to travel and eat. Ians a windswept windsurfer who you may see flying out across the harbour. I like design, creating, sewing and planning our next trip away.
