A Friend's Place~ Formerly Anna Seascape. This home provides an incredibly comfortable get-away for your large group of family or friends! Everyone will have plenty of space to either gather together and visit or spend some quality time alone. Have an even larger group? We have several homes nearby within walking distance! One can see it from the deck
A Friend's Place is a short walk to the Oceanside beach access. Explore tide pools, walk for miles, fly kites, beach-comb for shells and agates, whale watch, go fishing, crabbing or clamming and (of course!) enjoy your relaxing and restful accommodations!

This beautiful home has 3 bedrooms plus family room, 2 baths, rests among giant trees in a quiet neighborhood above the town of Oceanside.

Enjoy the beach without leaving the house! Comfortable main level living area is open to the kitchen and dining area for an easy flow from one to the other.

This home is perfect for the family or a romantic get-a-way for two.

The entire upper level is the Master Bedroom Suite complete with an oversized soaking tub for made 2. There is a bar area equipped with a mini fridge, so don't forget your drinks. There are books and a hidden TV in the Master Suite for plenty of down time. So relax and let the troubles of the world fade away. The private balcony is the perfect place to watch the setting sun! The wall is made of windows giving you an expansive view of the ocean and beach below.

The other two bedrooms are on the lower level giving everyone their own bit of privacy. One bedroom has a queen and a futon the other has 2 twin beds. Decks on all 3 floors to enjoy the beach breeze. The new sofa in the living room easily converts to sleep 2 more people.

The most amazing home. Bed comfort, loved the double tub, breathtaking views from every level. Pillows could be softer. Bring your own if you like softer. Romantic, perfect location and fully equipped. We will return for sure!

Great house but a few changes from the pictures.

This is a great house but there are some changes to the house from what is shown in the pictures. On a good note, there is a larger dining room table that seats 6 people rather than the small round one in the photos. We were able to play games and do a puzzle on the larger table. The view is beautiful but the trees in front of the house have grown since the pictures were taken and are quite larger and a lot more of the view is blocked. This was disappointing to us considering we chose this house and paid the high rate for the view. Also, we didn't notice this from the pictures, but in the master bedroom there is a one foot gap from the floor to the wall of windows. Directly under this space is the couch, tv and kitchen. Sounds travel straight up to the master. This creates a problem in the morning when you are trying to sleep in and other family members are getting breakfast. The washer and dryer are located in a hall closet with no counter space. It would be nice to have a laundry basket. The cleaning upon check out is extensive. All the towels needed to be washed and drying, so if you wanted to take a shower in the morning it required planning to wait for the wash to complete and put in the dryer. Also the dishes had to be clean AND put away. This requires you to wash dishes by hand in the morning if you have breakfast. At a lot of rental houses you can leave the dishes running in the dishwasher. Overall we had a great stay. The town and beaches are great!

STUNNING VIEWS

We did enjoy our stay after a very rocky start. We were given the wrong address for the property. After making contact, we were able to get to the right location. Everything about the property was great except for the distraction of a very stained looking carpet. My hope is that after the summer season it gets a good deep cleaning. We loved the decks and the views were stunning. Thanks for sharing your home with us. Diane Hill

A Friends Place

No bathroom on the main level. Too many stairs up and down but there were handrails which helped. Too many light switches, some didn't do anything, others were hard to navigate. Broken beach chair(s). We left two brand new chairs behind. There were coffee filters but no coffee. Carpet needs to be cleaned. Several light bulbs needed to be replaced.

Expectations Exceeded. Views over the Top!

Sometimes you get lucky and we did booking this place. All the views from the rooms were great, but the views from the Master Bedroom and LivingRoom/Kitchen simply delivered the goods. Shoreline and frontal views. The home is not only maintained very well, but it's the little details that will surprise you and make you appreciate this place even more. The lights all have dimmers, both stairs cases have lighting and each bathroom has it own heater. The small addition of a coffeepot and mini fridge in the master makes this already well planned vacation home even more guest friendly. Last, a "tip of the hat" to our property manager, Heather, who made sure everything about our stay was pleasant. Oh yea ... Oceanside is a beautiful escape on its own. Go and Enjoy! Highly Rated by this guest.

Great views, super clean!

Gorgeous views, super clean, comfortable furniture. Comfortable bed! (Although pillows were flat and could be replaced). Would have loved having a second chair in master bedroom so both of us could enjoy the floor to ceiling windows looking out to the ocean! We would definitely stay again!

The house was well kept with most of the items we needed. Bed in downstairs bedroom was a bit hard.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay and the panoramic views from all levels were second to none. Kept windows or doors open to take in the mesmerizing sounds of the crashing ocean waves. Would definitely plan on coming back again in the future.

Serene and old school

The interior finishes are out of the 80s and there's a comfortable feel in this beach house. We enjoyed everything except the limited amount of hot water. Not enough hot water for 5 people…even though it's supposed to be enough for 10…and parking was a little difficult

LOVED it!

Our family of 4 adults stayed here between Christmas and New Years. It was just the cozy place we were looking for during this winter vacation. There was plenty of privacy as well as nice common areas for our group. This house sits high on the hill, so you get beautiful panoramic views from every room. The kitchen is nicely stocked with necessary pots and pans. We were pleasantly surprised to find items in the pantry and bathrooms (salt/pepper, sugar, olive oil, etc as well as shampoo & conditioner.) Oceanside is further south on the Oregon Coast than we had hoped for, but it was well worth it. During the winter it is a pretty sleepy village, but restaurants and groceries are a short drive away. There are two TV's but not many options. There was a stereo system and VCR/DVD players. If you want to watch some movies, bring your own. I would return to this house as well as recommend it. We were thrilled with the find. One suggestion: get the map and directions for the house before you enter Oceanside; cell signals and WiFi are pretty hard to find when you are driving around.

Great view

Wonderful view with two small decks which are great for just watching the ocean with a cup of coffee/glass of wine or reading a book. Lovely master bedroom for a romantic getaway. This could potentially be a great place, however some things need to be improved. There aren't enough plates/silverware/serving dishes for a family. Multiple lights didn't work in the kitchen (no bulbs or broken lights? above the stove) and the gas stove - which once I got it lighted was a pleasure to cook on. The rental agency was friendly and helpful so I imagine these things will be taken care of soon.

Excellent Views and Quiet

The views were great and the best room in the house is the master bedroom on the third floor. We all stayed in there the whole time due to the fireplace, views, and comfort. I highly recommend the quiet escape. The only thing I would enjoy more is having two chairs in the master bedroom facing the ocean to enjoy the view. There just wasn't enough furniture facing the views, but we made due.

Incredible views!!!

The views from this house are amazing! It was very comfortable - a little worn, but considering that there is white carpeting in the home not surprising. There were a few things not working and when we mentioned this to the property manager they were taken care of the next day - impressive! It is a short walk to the beach down the street below the house and once on the beach there is a walking tunnel through the rock to get to another beach on the other side which is also beautiful and more sheltered. We saw whales, seals, porpoises and surfers from the house, best views from the beautiful bedroom upstairs! When it was time to leave we wished we could have stayed longer - definitely recommend this rental :)

Could have been a 5!!!!

We rented this home with our two grandchildren while taking an adventure down the Oregon coast. We appreciated being able to rent on short notice. The views were spectacular!!! And the comforts of the home would have been awesome except that the place is rather unkempt. 1/2 of the blinds on the windows did not work (some of them stuck down which cut into the view) and given that they advertise the view I personally would make washing the windows a priority. The jacuzzi tub was also less than appealing with all the soap scum. We were charged a $100 cleaning fee but needed to have all the dishes washed, all the towels washed and folded and all the sheets at least in the washing machine (which meant several hours of laundry before leaving). For $100 the cleaning service could at least have cleaned the tub and washed a few windows.

Birthday getaway to Oceanside Oregon. This is a small village on the beach. The property is located on the hillside overlooking the town, and is very rugged road to get to it. The driveway parking in front is steep and hard to get out of without peeling out on the ruts. If you are not capable of climbing up and down stairs this property is not for you as well as the climb up and down the hillside to the beach, The phones were static and the cord kept coming out of them , I was told to wiggle the cord a little. I went to Tillamook and bought two black princess phones so I could call family on the land line. Your cell phone does not work here, had to drive back to Netarts to call the agent to get into the house initially.The lights were burned out in many of the overhead can lights and the tv had no instructions. The agent came to the place and replace the flat spotlight type bulbs with the curly lite bulbs , so all the lights had these sticking out and the tv were blasting away when I came back . The tv has about 6 channels, mostly shopping, internet was in and out. I stayed for seven days, and replaced the lights with the correct ones because it bothered me that they were so terribly distracting of the otherwise beautiful décor and views. The master bedroom had a great view at the top of the house. The Jacuzzi tub was nice. If you want to take a shower the one in there is not functional as to the positioning, so you need to go down the three flights of stairs to shower. On the day I was to depart I tried to contact the agent for another night stay but to no response. The workers next door shingling the house started every morning at 8:00 sharp, but I did my morning walks then . the house is great for romance and views are very nice.

Great View

This is a nice home, for a couple or a couple with kids. If you like the view, which is great. If you are looking to be on the beach then this is not. There are a few items that needed repair, and the cable and internet was basic and not accessible via wifi, hard wire worked. The kitchen is small but very nice. The master is excellent, the bath is nice as well.

Not worth the price

My husband and I stayed here with my son, prior to moving him to college. We found the accommodations acceptable. However, I have stayed in other rentals in Oceanside, all of which at least provided coffee, given the fact that the coffee shops in town are not reliable with their hours. Also, the master shower was not usable, so the three of us took turns taking showers in the basement, which is less than ideal for a master suite. The towels smelled moldly, and the decor in the master suite was dated, as well as mismatched. There was no shampoo provided in the shower stalls, but conditioner was ?!? All in all, there are other properties worth the price more so than this one. The main floor was fine for our group of three, but I would not recommend for more than four.

Beautiful Home

I rented this beautiful home in Aug 2014 and it was the best vacation I have had in a long long time! The house was gorgeous. The views from ever room were spectacular! The home was clean and everything was in working order. Waking up with coffee in hand to the view was priceless. It was so peaceful and quiet there. A must rental for your next vacation!

Excellent Oregon Coast Retreat

Some of the best views in Oceanside! Sits high on a bluff right above Oceanside. Views from the main floor and upper floor which is the Master suite. You can sit in bed and see the waves crash on the beach and enjoy a fire in the gas fireplace. Balconies off the Master and the main floor. Quiet and private location. Even with the wall of windows the house feels private. The house was well equipped with plenty of towns and everything you need in a kitchen. Older audio/video equipment but we were not there to watch TV. I would recommend this house. The rental agency was very helpful and responsive.

It is better than the photos!

There have been some furniture updates since the photos were posted. The new couch by the floor to ceiling windows in the living room is beautiful and so comfortable. Reading with the view of the ocean behind us was a highlight of our trip. We enjoyed cooking in the open kitchen and eating dinner to a breathtaking sunset we could see from our table. All the beds are so comfortable and the master suite is just gorgeous. Oceanside is beautiful. The beach is perfect and the nearby tide pools and huge rocks are awesome. We will definitely be back at Anna's Seascape!
