As owners who reside on the property, we provide quick response to any issues our guests may encounter. That was certainly the case with this couple. The tankless hot water heater installed in the cottage provides an endless supply of hot water at 120 degrees F. While the guests were here I took a look at the shower and found they had adjusted the shower head volume to a very low flow. As I explained to them, the heater requires an adequate flow to operate. With normal flows, the hot water supply is entirely reliable. We utilize Roku to provide TV programming because we are in a remote area beyond the reach of over the air signals. In the years we have offered the Roku streaming service our guests have indicated it provides easy access to a world of programming options including the ability to utilize their own accounts with Netflix and many, many other streaming services. The smoke alarms are in a bedroom adjacent to the kitchen and the living room. This is the first time we have had a report of unexpected or nuisance alarms. The guest indicated the alarm was triggered by cooking smoke. I suggested they might open windows in the bedroom and kitchen to provide additional ventilation to avoid triggering the smoke alarms. After more than 50 years experience creating a safe, beautiful and joyful environment for our guests, it is disappointing when we fall short. Fortunately we don't often find ourselves there.

Now your children will finish college and then some day they will bring their children to enjoy our peaceful location. Thanks for taking the time to comment on your stay with us. With the cottages on the same property as our home, we are available to respond the needs of our guests promptly. I wish we had known you could have used an additional fan. In recent years we have engaged a licensed applicator who applies an insecticide to control ticks and mosquitos. With the rainy weather we have had this season, the mosquitos emerged earlier than normal. For future years we have moved that first application up to the third week in June. You certainly are welcomed to come and stay with us again.
