SUCH a great property! Well kept, comfortable, easy to find, multiple parking spaces, and right in the middle of everything. The host was communicative and gave us tons of great suggestions. Highly recommend this property :)

We had such a fun stay at this property! The house is perfect for traveling with two dogs - the fenced area is so helpful and it's a short walk to the beach. It's clear that a lot of thought went into the amenities throughout the home and the location is fantastic for getting to the beach or popping into Duck. Also Areca was a great host and extremely easy to reach with questions. Would definitely recommend!

The beach house was clean and welcoming. It had everything you need in the kitchen. Pet friendly but there was no evidence of a pet ever being there. Would recommend and definitely stay there again.

We stay in the OBX every year, usually in Corolla. This was a great new spot. It’s so accessible to get in and out, an easy walk to the beach, and the property was super clean. I definitely would recommend if you want to experience the Southern Shores/Duck area!

Great stay!

The property was awesome, everything was very clean and just as pictured. We enjoyed the pool everyday that we were there and the location is super close to shops and beach access! Would stay again!

Great rental for a family!

This house had a great set-up for a small family, and we enjoyed the added benefit of having the pool for a quick dip in the afternoons if we didn’t feel like going to the beach.

Fantastic beach week!

We had such a lovely week. The house was exceedingly comfortable and clean, the kids enjoyed their rooms and the pool so much. The beach was not too far of a walk, and the beach cart and other supplies were super helpful. Any questions we had were answered almost immediately.

Just Right

We had a great time staying at “About Dune Time.” The house was clean and had all the amenities we needed for a week at the beach. The location was convenient to Kitty Hawk and the Duck areas.

Short weekend getaway with kids in March

We loved the house! it was perfect for us, comfortable and clean! we will be back for a summer stay as soon as possible! Arica was so responsive and so friendly! We felt like we made a friend!

Great getaway

We had a short and sweet getaway, long weekend at this beach house. It was lovely with the pool and quick access to the beach. Everything we wanted and needed. The listing discusses how well stocked the kitchen is in regards to equipment and they weren’t kidding. It has anything and everything you might need for meal prep.

Home away from Home

I could come to this home all the time year round, we really enjoyed ourselves. Everything described on the listing was that and more. I highly recommend this lovely beautiful home, close to all things, shopping, restaurants and a bike ride to the beach.

Favorite Place

This property was exactly as it was stated in the ad. It was extremely clean, cleanest I have ever stayed in. We have vacationed to the Outer Banks for over 50 years and this cottage is by far my most favorite of any we have stayed in. The owner is very welcoming and accessible for any needs and questions, which were few because the house accommodated us with all we needed. Can’t wait to return

Loved this place!

This place was perfect for our little family for the week! My husband, two daughters (3 and 1) and I loved the privacy, proximity, and amenities of this home. The owner Areca was more than helpful with getting us checked in and answering questions in a timely manner. Property was VERY clean and well stocked. Pool was an added bonus! Would definitely recommend this property and would definitely stay here again!

Beautiful Home, Close to the beach and Duck!

Wonderful week long stay. The house was clean and tidy. We enjoyed the pool and walked daily to the beach. We enjoyed being close to both the beach, Duck and the amenities. The only downside is the location on a busy road, although you can't hear the traffic noise when inside the house. The owners were extremely attentive and responsive when we had a question or concern. I wound definitely rebook and recommend to those looking for a place to stay in OBX.

Great week at fabulous house!

We had a fantastic week staying at "About Dune Time"- this beautiful home was immaculately clean, fully stocked with supplies & had all of the amenities we could ask for! Our favorite area to hang out was the back deck & pool area! Areca was warm, welcoming & quick to answer any questions we had. We highly recommend "About Dune Time" & hope to return next summer!

Friends vacation with two dogs

We had a great time at the outer banks. This location is about two blocks from the beach. It comes with chairs and a wagon to bring what is needed to the beach and back. Our dogs really enjoyed staying here. The pool was nice. The kitchen was adequate for cooking and we had the firehouse boil company come and cook for use one night which was wonderful. The owner/management was responsive and kind. Would recommend staying here to others!

WOW!! This house was amazing! Check-in was a breeze and we walked in to a very clean house. I stayed in the master suite and was really surprised at how comfortable I found the bed to be. I've had multiple back surgeries and bedding is usually miserable, but this king bed was perfect. I also enjoyed having the attached bath that I did not have to share with kids or grandchildren.My daughter and her teenagers LOVED the upstairs loft. And my additional toddler grandchildren (stayed elsewhere) got a big thrill out of playing in the loft with their cousins. The living and dining spaces were very spacious and easily accommodated our party of 9. The furniture was incredibly comfortable and the entire house is nicely decorated. The kitchen was big enough for our needs and had every appliance and utensil you could want.The kids were repeatedly torn between the quick bike ride to the beach or swimming in the pool, and ended up doing both most days. The pool and beach toys provided were great as was the beach parking pass (I drove to the beach) and the 6 bikes! This host really does provided everything you need for outdoor fun in the sun.I will definitely book this house again in the future! Areca responded immediately when we had a power issue after a huge storm and had us back to 100% in no time. She has thought of everything a guest could want for an incredible beach experience and provided it at a very reasonable price.

Clean and comfortable!

We stayed for a week and had a lovely time! It was the cleanest rental we’ve stayed in, and it provided plenty of space for 5 adults. It is on the main road so turning out of the driveway could be tricky at the busier times of day. The beach access with the provided HOA parking pass wasn’t crowded and has port-a-potties, trash/recycling bins, and showers to wash your feet off. The only downside to the house was that there isn’t much green space to roam if you choose to bring your pet. We would definitely visit again!

Great Property

Great house for our group of 2 adult couples. House was clean and roomy, pool area was great. House is 2.3 miles from downtown Duck, easy to get to most of the time. Duck Rd is very busy and the sidewalk/bike trail is across the street, have to be very careful crossing. That’s the only drawback. Having a green light bulb in the front lamp was a genius move, making it easy to see the driveway when coming back at night. Would definitely stay there again!

Perfect vacation

The property exceeded all expectations. Exemplary cleanliness, coupled with first rate amenities and features made this vacation an absolute joy. The house was perfect and everything just worked. Contact with the host was easy, pleasant and appropriate. Local information was readily available and the beach was an easy, short walk with the beautiful town of Duck a 5 minute drive away. The saltwater pool was fantastic (even in early April....brrrr!). This property is a gem!

A great stay!

We visited over our daughter's spring break and we loved everything about this house! The location is great, as it is just a few minutes away from the main road into OBX. There are grocery stores and other retail nearby and it is a quick bike ride away from Duck. While it is located on a busy road, we spent much of our time in the back yard at the pool so road noise was not an issue. The house was perfect for our group of 6 and the property manager was very responsive. We were there in April and while it was too windy and cool to be at the beach, the backyard is protected and we spent so much time by the beautiful pool. The pool area is protected by trees and it was so nice to spend time outside. The kitchen sink has filtered water (big bonus in my eyes) and the house is well stocked. We would definitely stay here again!
