Romantic Cottage directly on the Beach!

I’m glad you enjoyed your stay at the cottage, it truly is the most relaxing place to stay. The cottage is directly on Double Bay beach and even has its own private steps down to the beach. The amount of sand on the beach does vary based on the ocean current. Which we do mention on the profile. We often swim right in front of the cottage with our swim shoes on and sometimes walk up or down the beach to swim. It’s a first for me to hear anyone not like the sheets, but everyone’s skin is different. We use them ourselves of course and they are perfect for the warm Bahamian nights. We also have more than one set at the cottage, so there is always a change available. I’m thinking you didn’t find all the light switches. There is so much light, that we have to turn lights off to enjoy watching the waves roll in. I will have the light switches labeled so it’s easier for guests to find the switch. The toaster is a brand new multi function, oven, toaster, air fryer, broiler, its excellent quality. I’m thinking that you are just not familiar with the newer multi function models. They are great once you know how to use them! The shower takes a few minutes to heat up, then the water is nice and hot. I’m sure the kitchen draw needs organizers. But we do have everything you need to enjoy nice meals at the cottage. All your utilities, garlic press, whisk, tools for cracking & eating lobster. Better to have everything you need plus some. ☺️ The cottage is competitively priced and our calendar is normally very full this time of year, and 2025 is no exception. If we are not mistaken, we believe you are Canadian, right. We do understand that the Canadian dollar has been exceptionally weak of late, which can feel like prices set in USD are more than usual. It sounds like overall you had a nice time and enjoyed Double Bay beach. It truly is a beautiful place. Thanks again for staying. 🌴

Thank you for staying at Blue Turtle Cottage. We are so glad you enjoyed your stay. Queens Highway is about a mile and a half from the cottage. This ensures privacy and eliminates any road noise. We have also recently joined with the other neighbors at Double Bay to have the road upgraded and the work is scheduled to commence shortly. The amount of sand on the beach is variable, although a short stroll north or south guarantees a beautiful sandy beach, which we hope you were able to enjoy. Like all tropical islands, mosquitoes come out at dusk, but the steady ocean breeze keeps them at bay during the day. Thanks again for staying with us and for your kind review and feedback.
