Farfalla di Toscana: privacy, pool, amazing views

Farfalla di Toscana consists of two recently renovated old Tuscan farmhouses, "I Millefiori" and "La Bellavista", which are adjacent and rented out as one unit. Each house has four bedrooms and is self-sufficient with its own kitchen and dining areas both inside and outside. The two houses share a large parking lot, a 12x6 meter pool, and a small playground. Situated on a hilltop surrounded by olive trees just a ten minute drive from Pescia, the property enjoys splendid views both south and north.

The two houses overlook Pescia and Monte Pisano to the south and the Valleriana to the north. The property is entirely fenced in and surrounded by olive groves and woods, affording a high degree of privacy and tranquility. The property has been designed for wheelchair access; one can move without obstruction from the parking area to the ground floor bedrooms in each house (each with adjacent bathroom with open-plan shower), to the kitchen and dining areas of each house, and along a long and gently sloping non-slip walkway which leads down to the pool area and children’s playground.

"I Millefiori" celebrates the abundance of flowers which grow on the property and is furnished and decorated in traditional Tuscan style. The entry area has a TV and a sofa bed which can easily sleep two additional guests at no extra charge. To one side of the entry area is a bedroom with 2 single beds, which is easily accessible by wheelchair. The adjacent bathroom has an open shower suitable also for wheelchair access. To the other side of the entry area is a well-equipped modern kitchen with an induction stove, an electric oven, and a dishwasher. There is a large indoor dining table next to the kitchen, and directly outside is a covered veranda with another large dining table and a spectacular view over the valley below. Upstairs consists of 3 bedrooms (each with a large bed) and 2 bathrooms (1 with shower, 1 with bathtub).

"La Bellavista" is named after the amazing views which the property enjoys, and with its carefully preserved original ‘graniglia’ floors its style is fresh and modern. Its basic layout is similar to the other house: an entry space with TV and a sofa bed, a downstairs bedroom with 2 single beds and adjacent bathroom with an open shower for easy wheelchair access, a well-equipped modern kitchen with a large dining table, and direct access to a covered veranda with its own dining table and an enchanting view. Upstairs there are 3 bedrooms (each with a large bed) and 3 bathrooms (one with a bathtub).

Each house has its own washer/dryer, iron and ironing board, clothes drying rack, baby crib, high chair, and stair blocker. Each bedroom has its own air conditioner (which can be used as a heater as well). The windows have screens and adjustable shutters, and the property is refreshingly airy and breezy during the hotter summer months. During cooler months, the thick and well-insulated walls absorb and retain the gas-generated heat to maintain a cozy temperature throughout both houses.

A non-skid walkway leads gently downhill from both houses to the pool area and adjacent children’s playground (with swing, slide, and sandbox). The 12x6 meter pool with maximum depth of 160cm (open mid-April till end-September) is fenced in and can be heated upon request, and is surrounded by a comfortable seating area with lounge chairs and tables and umbrellas. Each house has its own lighted outdoor BBQ cooking area (with a sink and a stone preparation surface), and an adjacent pergola with outdoor chairs and table.

The property is reached from a winding country road between Pescia and Malocchio via a gravel driveway approximately 300 meters long. The on-site parking area is designed to accommodate 8 cars comfortably.

WiFi is free and covers the entire property, including the pool area and both BBQ pergolas.

Pets are welcome.

Smoking is allowed outside (ashtrays are provided).

Check-in anytime after 16:00 (and you may leave your luggage beforehand), but we kindly ask you to complete check-out by 10:00.

Bed linens and towels, as well as pool towels, are included in the rental rate.
