This villa is even better than the pictures show. From the start of our reservation process through our whole stay, we could not have expected better. The hosts were great in communicating helpful information and were very quick to offer assistance or answer questions we had during our stay. The individual apartments along with amazing group spaces (dining room for 30 people), pool, hot tub, etc) made for the perfect blend for a large group traveling together. Also, the location was perfect with very easy day trips to Florence, Sienna, Lucca, San Gimignano, Pisa, etc. We also did a day trip to Cinque Terre which was a bit longer, but super do-able. I cannot recommend this property strongly enough and will be sharing our experience with friends interested in the same type of group travel.

Huge villa with a fabulous pool and commercial kitchen

We had 36 people stay for two weeks and loved this place! With respect to the property caretakers, Gianluca was very prompt when we had questions and Paola was so kind and helpful! The pool was essential for late July and the kids and adults loved the spacious area. The apartments accommodated each family easily.the view from the infinity hot tub was magical!

A unique villa experience

This villa was perfect for our family group. Plenty of bedrooms, a spacious pool, plenty of space for kids to run and play while the grownups visited and watched beautiful sunsets. We had two meals catered which were marvelous. The staff was friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Great stay in Tuscany!

Our recent stay at the villa was delightful. The villa offered breathtaking views of the Tuscan countryside and was well-maintained with a nice blend of modern amenities and rustic charm. Our host was helpful and responsive. We enjoyed relaxing by the pool and dining outdoors, creating wonderful memories with friends. Overall, it was a great experience for the week. We all had different apartments which made it nice for families to spend time both together and apart.

We were celebrating my 60th birthday with friends and family from Australia & England. There were 31 of us in total from 9 families. Gianluca, our host, was very helpful in showing us the large facility when we checked in and following up on any questions. Podere Jana was a perfect location as everyone had their own private apartments but the fantastic communal spaces by the large pool and in the communal industrial kitchen and dining area allowed us to party together. There is also and undercover area for a BBQ. The aircon in all internal spaces was much appreciated in the middle of a hot Tuscan summer. The location requires a car but you have a whole range of easy access to Tuscan cities as Empoli is about 20 minutes drive away and has a station . We used it to visit Florence and Siena. Or you can drive 5km to the picturesque village of Vinci. For those with more energy, you can walk to Vitolini about 1.5-2 kms but there are hills involved. It has 2 cafes/shops. The villa itself is situated in Olive Groves and has amazing views of the Tuscan countryside. A fantastic base for seeing Tuscany and for celebrating events with many people.

Thank you so much for your wonderful review and for choosing our holiday villa to celebrate such a special occasion! It was a real pleasure to welcome you, your family, and your friends. We're delighted to hear that the layout of the property worked so well for your group, allowing everyone to enjoy the privacy of their own apartments while coming together in the communal spaces to celebrate. It's great to know that the pool, outdoor BBQ area, and shared kitchen and dining space helped make your time together memorable, and that the air conditioning was appreciated. Thank you also for highlighting our location and the beautiful surroundings. We agree that our villa offers a wonderful base for exploring Tuscany, from Vinci to Florence, Siena, and beyond. It was a pleasure assisting you during your stay, and we're so happy that we were part of such an important celebration. Beautiful Villa and setting for my daughters wedding. All guests thought the property was stunning and gorgeous. Paola is lovely and helpful, hosts are kind and communicative. Beds were comfortable and apartments contain all necessary items for a long stay. Surrounded by olive trees, flowers, and the rolling hills of Tuscany. We had the small cafe up the road (David) create a pizza welcoming dinner upon our arrival utilizing the onsite pizza oven, and the catering for the wedding. He and his staff cooked amazing authentic food for us. Highly recommend as well. Thank you Stephania and Allesandra for your hospitality and the opportunity to create beautiful lifetime memories. -Terasa

Magical!

We're a small Canadian business that needed a venue to host a work planning session with our staff and their families and Podere Jan was absolutely wonderful! The location was a perfect setting for our stay, nestled in olive groves and vineyards in the heart of Tuscany. The views were breathtaking and the villa provided an authentic Italian experience with all the necessary amenities. I was a little unsure when booking this villa if it would meet our needs as photos are limited in their ability to convey the vibe, but I was ecstatic when I arrived to discover the it was much much better in real life than photos. If you're planning a family reunion or corporate retreat you will no be disappointed staying here. Thank you to the staff for a wonderful stay!

23 in Tuscany in 23

What an amazing vacation we had at your beautiful property. I traveled with my siblings and our children 23 people in total and from the oldest to youngest the villa was a hit! Between the pool and hot tub with their stunning views to the quiet areas to sit relax and just enjoy there was something for everyone. The apartment style rooms gave each family a little privacy and the gathering areas easily accommodated our big group. The kitchen allowed us to prepare family style meals or grab a quick breakfast before heading out to explore. The villas location allowed for an easy drive to local towns for exploring or any needed supplies. I can not thank Stefania, Gianluca, and Paula enough for their help during our stay and being so available for our many many questions before we arrived. I can’t wait for next time!

Perfect property for group celebrations

My husband and I hosted 25 people (family & friends) in June 2023 for a birthday celebration. The property was spectacular, the views are amazing and each apartment is well equipped. We did one catered pizza dinner but mostly spent a lot of time in the common area and using the commercial kitchen which even has a special pasta cooker. The communication was very easy with the hosts (Stefania and Alessandra) as well as the property staff, Gianluca and Paula. Like other reviews, make sure to bring bug spray and pool towels. We mostly stayed at the property but the towns of Vinci and Empoli are both very close by. We also had friends who day tripped to Florence and Pisa- the location is ideal as it is close to many of the Tuscany towns but the villa itself is very private. We would highly recommend this VRBO and look forward to hopefully visiting again someday.

Podera Jana

We are from the United States and had our wedding at Podera Jana. We had 41 people from all over the world join us. Martina, the concierge, wedding planner and all round go to person for the Podera Jana planned the entire wedding for us since we are located in the states. She did an amazing job! She planned the perfect wedding for us. Handled any questions or concerns we had and just left us in awe of how awesome and attention to detail she was. We could not have had such a uniques and flawless experience without her. Words cannot convey how grateful we are to her and her professionalism. She genuinely cared and made sure this was a once in a lifetime event. Bravo bravo. Francesca, our chef , did a fantastic job. Francesca and her team handled dinners and breakfast for us, including the wedding dinner and the food was superb. She was caring punctual and concerned with all the food, even making sure our guests with special dietary needs we taken care of. We were sad when it was over. Also, the housekeeper kept everything tidy everyday. I can’t recommend this villa enough.

Amazing weeklong stay for our wedding

We arrived to find Gianluca, property manager, there to greet us. he was super helpful in getting everyone to their apartments and giving us a detailed tour of the property. We reached out to Gianluca a few times with questions during our stay and he replied within minutes with help. The apartments and property are absolutely gorgeous and beyond our expectations. the views from each room are different but equally breathtaking. the shared chef's kitchen was well equipped and made for fun family meals. Paola cleaned for us each morning which was such a treat. It was great that no one had to do the dishes after cooking dinner. Paola is sweet and professional and we enjoyed seeing her each day. The pool is huge and there was plenty of seating for our group of 32. the hot tub was a hit as well. We hosted our wedding on site with the the help of wedding planners, Mascia and Cassie from Special Happenings. the wedding was a dream come true. they thought of every detail and we just enjoyed the day. we took many day trips to Florence, Vinci, Lucca, Siena, San Gimignano. All of which were easily accessible by car or train out of Empoli. I would recommend this property without hesitation. We made so many wonderful memories with our friends and family during an unforgettable week!

This is a lovely property that makes the most of a gorgeous location. The building is old, but the inside is up to date with all the conveniences you might need, including air conditioning (for a daily fee). The grounds are spectacular. The pool and indoor/outdoor dining room was perfect for our group of 29. Separate apartments give everyone their own space, while the dining room, catering kitchen and pool area allow for gathering. The view at sunset is stunning.Stefania worked with me through a year of planning and was always quick to answer any questions. The on-site staff, Gianluca and Paula were fantastic. We also worked with the recommended concierge and chef. Both created wonderful events for us and worked with our budget. We are already planning to see when we can get back to Podere Jana.!

Tuscan Paradise… book this property now!

We spent 10 days at Podere Jana for our wedding, with 30 guests ranging from ages 9-84. Put simply, the property and the whole area is breathtaking and definitely highly recommended. The pictures do not do the property justice at all, we were very pleasantly surprised. The property itself is spread over 2 buildings, the main house with 7 apartments (spread over 3 floors) each with their own kitchenette and bathroom. There is also a second building with large dining room and games area, kitchen and a another apartment above. This gave our families room to spread out so you had some privacy. We opted for air conditioning which was welcomed! The communal areas are spacious and the outside bbq area is fantastic for big groups with plenty of seating. The pool itself is very large, not too cold and there were plenty of sun loungers and chairs for everyone. The hot tub was also a great addition, and very well used by the group! We had our wedding at the property and it was the most magical setting, we used the services of Special Happenings and Oasi Dolce for the reception dinner who were brilliant. The staff onsite are a credit to the owners, the cleaner came to site twice a day to ensure communal areas were clean and she is so helpful and friendly. Paola who also lives locally was a great help when we struggled with the language barrier and I was delighted when they came to watch the wedding ceremony, I was so pleased they had come along and they captured some beautiful details. Every member of our party commented how much better the place is than the listing shows! Vinci itself is a lovely day out and easy to reach by car. The main attractions in Pisa, Lucca and Florence are all easily accessible by train and there is ample car parking at the station. There are lots of supermarkets locally and vineyards and restaurants. One tip, bring insect repellent! The area is beautiful with lots of Olive trees and other greenery (the fig trees are amazing!) but you will need repellent. Overall a perfect 10 days and I would like to say Thankyou to the owners and on-site staff for making our holiday so special.

Amazing stay in Vinci

We had a group of 13 extended family members stay for a week at Podere Jana late July/early August. It was like having a small resort to ourselves! Amazing pool and air conditioned kitchen area where we could all meet and eat together. Each apartment had it’s own small kitchen as well. Close to many great areas of Tuscany so perfect for day trips. We had a caterer come to the villa and prepare some of our meals as well as assisting us with local reservations. Overall a fabulous time - great villa!!

What a fabulous location!

Our extended family (27 people in total) stayed here in July 2022, and it was wonderful. The villa is large and spacious, with multiple self-contained apartments - all but one physically located in the same large building (an old farmhouse). There is also a large common area - which includes a pool, and common eating facilities. The combination gave everyone plenty of space for us to all get together, while the apartments gave you the chance for privacy when you wanted it. It was wonderful. The location is up in the Tuscan hills, providing breathtaking views and sunsets - and yet is still just a 10-15 minute drive from shops and a train station (making it easy to get to both Florence and Pisa). All-in-all we had a fabulous stay here, it's got a great location and is incredibly picturesque, and I completely recommend the villa.

Family Gathering

We were absolutely overwhelmed and charmed by this place. The apartments were spacious and it was great to have a place to retreat to for each family; the common spaces outside near the common kitchen and pool were airy, beautiful, and a delight to spend time in. Everything was sparkling, and there were doves and olive orchards all around. Stefania and Alessandra were incredibly helpful and responsive. It turned out to cost extra for air conditioning, which was very necessary (and I didn't realize this from the beginning), but that was the only unpleasant surprise. Overall, the whole experience was a joy.

Perfect location and great size for a large group

We rented the villa for our group of 21 to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary. We loved that we all had our own apartments to retire to at the end of our long days of being tourists but also had plenty of room to gather for a meal together and the pool was a great size for our group. Gianluca and Paula took care of our every need and gave us great suggestions for nearby things to do. Speaking of which, we went to the top of the hill almost every morning for cappuccinos at a small market & bar that has been family run for over 90 years. It was a great way to start each day. The only complaint that anyone had was that the beds are all very firm and for side sleepers, it meant some stiff hips and shoulders in the morning. I would not hesitate to rent this property again!

Great time, view and atmosphere in the Tuscany hills

We had an amazing stay with Stefania and her villa in the Tuscany hills near Vinci. The villa and apartments are amazing and spacious. The kitchen and community area allows dinner for 30+ people. The kitchen helps to prepare for the same. The pool offers you a quiet area to relax and see gorgeous sunsets. We will come back!

Exceeded our expectations

Podere Jane proved the perfect spot for six families who were looking for a joint vacation together. The pool and views are amazing and everyone had their own well-appointed and air conditioned apartment. Caretakers Gianluca and Paula were incredibly attentive and made our stay easy and enjoyable. The property is also a great spot from which to visit the nearby village of Vinci and Empoli or from which to venture out for a short drive to Florence, Chianti or Lucca (some of our favourite day trips). Our hosts also catered two beautiful meals for our entire complement of 21 adults and kids and the food was amazing. Highly recommend.
