Worth Every PENNY Condo!!

Upon entering the condo, we could see instantly that it was very clean and tidy. I loved the minimalistic decor! The beds were very comfy for the whole family. Checking in and out was very simple and clear! We will be booking through this agency again.

5th year at Destin west

It was our 5th year spending spring break at Destin West and it was by far our best experience. It was our first time having a 3 bedroom condo which was fantastic we were shocked at how large the living area was. The only complaint I had was the writing was rubbed off the electric stove and made it hard to use as I am used to a gas stove.

Relaxing stay at a beautiful property

This is a lovely condo. The place was very clean and the beds were amazingly comfortable. TONS of space and a great view. The lazy river let us by lazy, which was the whole point of our getaway. šŸ˜Š Wifi and cable were out during our stay due to a line issue with the cable company, but Vacasa was kind enough to offer a refund to make up for the small inconvenience. We would come back in a heartbeat.

Clean, quiet and easy to live in!!

This condo was excellent! It wasnā€™t over decorated so you had plenty of space to ā€œmove inā€. We only had 4 in our party so it was easy to accommodate everyone. If you have more, no worries! The master bathroom is large and easily shareable! We loved it and plan to come back with friends again. There is a private hot tub but it isnā€™t currently working. We have one at home and those can be difficult to maintain with sand getting in the filter and the such. Plus, summer heat and sunburn make a hot tub less attractive! If you come in the winter, then it would be fun to have available.

Do NOT rent from this company

The main reason I booked this condo was for the view and the private hot tub. I was not informed that the hot tub was out of commission before the trip and after arriving to a broken hot tub and getting ahold of the company all I got was a yeah sorry about that enjoy your stay. Absolutely zero communication. The beach accessories were completely nasty. Still waiting to hear from someone and itā€™s been 3 days.

Beautiful Viewā€¦ Wouldnā€™t book again though

Overall, disappointed and wouldnā€™t book this condo again. It was spacious; however, it was the most bare minimum condo I have ever stayed in. Floors seemed like they have NEVER been mopped we had dirty feet the entire stay Kitchen was minimally stocked super dull knives and for a condo that can host 6 adults easily we didnā€™t even have 6 of the same glasses to drink from. A few small glasses, a few big glasses, a few large plates, etc AC didnā€™t work in master Rain came in through master flooring Toy/wagon closet was a mess and items werenā€™t usable. Looks like the area has never been cleaned or touched No extra blankets or comfort items provided No games/entertainment Condo is for sale and looks like itā€™s just making money off anyone who would book it no thought has gone into the condo to make it nice for everyoneā€™s stay We stay at Destin West a lot and this condo was the worst we have ever stayed in.

!!BEWARE!!

I would NEVER waste my money on this unit again. While the resort is nice itself, this unit is not one I would book for another trip. We arrived after a 14 hour drive to a unit INFESTED with FLEAS!! My family (2 adults & 3 kids) walked from the living room out to the patio, and could not figure out why it felt like we were getting bit. When we looked down we had fleas attached to our feet, ankles, and anywhere else they could jump on. Not even the bathrooms were safe. It's a good thing we never take our luggage in right away. I began calling Vacasa at 5 pm to inform them of this issue. I even sent pictures as proof via messaging. I kept getting told we are reaching out to our local team. They will contact you. They couldn't tell me when someone would call. Guess what? We never received a call from the local team or who ever was suppose to manage that property. So we ended up walking around the resort for 3 hours!! I would call every 30 minutes to be told the same thing. They also informed me the unit couldn't have fleas because pets aren't allowed. I sure didn't bring fleas into the unit! It had to be escalated to the next person, and the next person. We could cancel our booking, and they could refund us was an option offered. That would take several business days though, not to mention it was Memorial Day. They also couldn't just move us into another unit. FINALLY a little after 8 pm, we received a message we were being relocated. They did move us into a nicer unit at the Azure, at no cost. Unfortunately, that does not make up for the customer care we received or the lack of cleanliness in the property they manage. Not to mention the stress my family was put through while having to wait outside for multiple hours, and as it became night time. That's not it though. This unit is currently for sale, and you wouldn't know it until arrival and the sign in the entry window. With that being said the furniture is very basic. The living room rug is disgusting and stained in multiple areas, the skirting on all the beds are a greyish black, and the blinds in the master are missing multiple slats. There is also a hot tub outside, but it does not work. I wish we were able to attach photos, so that people can really see the condition of this unit. As well as the parasites that inhabited it. The 1 star is for the resort itself, because their lazy pool did look nice.
