Dear Ken, I really wish you had contacted me during your stay. I have a lockbox there at the house just in case there are issues with an electronic lock. There’s always the chance of a low battery that is unpredictable and I never want people to not be able to access this the lockbox if needed. The last message I had from you was from before you checked in and I never got any request for a late checkout. There was not anyone checking in the day you left so this could have been accommodated had you just asked. As to the living room furniture, it is as pictured in the listing. I’m glad that you otherwise enjoyed your stay and only wish you had contacted me about the lock and the late checkout request so I could have assisted you. Best wishes.

Staci did not read the instructions that were sent several days prior to the stay and thus was unhappy from the start. I pulled over on my way home to address her questions and resend the welcome message which I could see above in the VRBO feed. There is indeed a toaster oven that doubles as a convection oven. There is no pop-up toaster. The welcome message also notes that there is a keurig for coffee. I have plenty of extra towels and sheets. Extra blankets, etc. Furniture is all from IKEA and as pictured plus an extra TV and the new futon she mentioned. The property is as pictured except I have made the bunk beds into singles for safety reasons. I look at this as providing my home which I’m opening up for guests (including their pets with prior approval) which is why I prefer not to have carpets- not to mention guests who track water and salt throughout the place all winter. When Staci told me there were no dishwashing tabs, I checked with my housekeeping staff who assured me there were some there. If not, I noted she could use dishwashing liquid or my housekeeping staff offered to drop some off. She refused. Meanwhile there is no mention of a basement in the listing. However in my welcome message it notes that the basement is unfinished and off limits. Staci informed me (not asked) that they would be using it — which is absolutely unacceptable. I will now be screening all future renters and hopefully this review screens out people like Staci.
