Berkshire living at its best! This lovely shaker barn on 2 open acres has three apartments. All are private. Rent one or more for your group! This apartment (#2) is a one bedroom/one en suite bath with full equipped kitchen, dining area, comfortable living room with sofa bed, bedroom with new queen bed and desk. Large walk in closet and dresser. Quiet with lots of light. Shared entry hall and laundry, but unit is completely private, charming and comfortable. Private outdoor area with seating, fire pit and barbecue (summer only). Around the corner from Hancock Shaker Village where this barn was moved from 100 years ago. Minutes from Balderdash Cellars winery, and Hilltop Orchards. Use of Richmond Pond, a clear lake with a lovely beach only 8 minutes away for swimming, boating or skating. Ski at Bousquet (9 minutes) or Jiminey Peak (21 minutes) or take a picnic to Tanglewood in Lenox (13 min). Close to all Berkshire attractions-- theaters, dance, museums, restaurants, shopping, farmers markets and the great outdoors! 10 minutes to the charming village of West Stockbridge. Lots of nearby trails for hiking, snow shoeing, X-country sking. A stunning part of the Berkshires, Richmond is home to celebrities and farmers. Our weekend stay was absolutely wonderful! The VRBO was adorable, quiet, clean, and relaxing! It’s close enough to all Berkshire attractions but located in a nice, quiet location. We didn’t need anything during our stay, but Michelle, the host, was easy to get a hold of if needed. The best part - it’s dog friendly! Would definitely stay again!

We had a brief stay at Michelle’s apartment, while we visited the nearby Balderdash winery. Michelle was great with communications and accommodating our arrival and departure timing and the apartment was exactly as described; neat, clean, great location for our needs. Would not hesitate to stay here again!

Bucolic setting in the Berkshires

This artfully decorated apartment was comfortable and quiet, and within easy driving distance of numerous hiking trails, historical sites and museums, and cultural attractions. We would happily recommend it to others with similar interests.

Excellent stay

My wife, daughter and I stayed here last week for 3 nights. It was great. The apartment is clean and as advertised. The location is great for us as we wanted to be between Great Barrington and Jiminy Peak. The owner was very communicative and helpful with suggestions on where to eat and visit. All in all it was great and we would book again.

Beautiful and Charming Apartment

We had a beautiful visit to Massachusetts thanks to this lovely spot. The apartment was perfect, beautifully decorated, very comfortable, located in a lovely area and close to key spots we were visiting. Our host could not have been more helpful. She was very helpful leading up to our stay and throughout our time there. We could not have asked for a better experience!

Laid-back luxury in the Berkshires

Michelle's property offers a perfect combination of charm and functionality. The spacious private lot is fun to explore and the renovated historic barn is incredibly inviting and comfortable, full of high-end touches without feeling fussy or contrived. Lenox/Tanglewood is just a 10-minute scenic drive away, along with numerous hiking routes. I highly recommend this home and will definitely be back!

Relaxing in The Barn

I so enjoyed this is quaint, charming and beautiful barn apartment. Quiet, relaxing, close to activities, restaurants etc. Michelle is kind, has all your needs met and if you need anything, she is right there for you! I am hoping to get back there again to experience the warmer weather this time! I am so greatful for my stay in The Birkshires! All the best Michelle, Linda

Charming barn apt

I rented this apt for a week and stayed here with my pup. I was working remotely for that week. I can say that we enjoyed our stay very much. The apt was clean and comfortable and had everything that you could need (Michelle thought of everything!). My pup was in love with the huge, well kept yard. You could tell that a lot of effort was put in to keep the property well-maintained and comfortable for the guests. We will definitely be back for another stay very soon.

Tanglewood 2023

Stayed to be near Tanglewood away from crowds. Very lovely location with 2 nearby roads that ended in cul-de-sac and thus handy for evening walks with our dog. Yard was huge and great for tossing ball for dog. Kitchen very well supplied for cooking. Very quiet location. Comfortable bed and living room couch. Host was very gracious in all contacts.

Great Host Lovely Area

Michelle is an excellent host. She is attentive, responsive, and considerate. The property is a barn in a beautiful, quiet country setting with few houses in the area and lots of open land. The residence is well appointed with deliciously comfortable furnishings. The place is thoughtfully stocked with all we needed. Nothing is done on the cheap as is the case with many VRBO hosts. We will return.

Summer Stay

My small dog and I spent two months in this cozy one bedroom. Devonshire Farm has been a labor of love for Michelle and it shows in the care and detail she has taken. The barn is rustic/elegant - rural/chic with wood beams, comfortable furniture and a beautiful four-poster bed. The kitchen is well stocked, laundry and cleaning supplies are in a common area for the three units and very quick response to any minor things that needed attention. Oh - and my little dog had a great time exploring the beautiful huge yard.

Perfect little rustic getaway

This apartment was the perfect size for my wife and I to enjoy a long weekend in the Berkshires. Small, but not tiny, it had everything we needed. It's a rustic barn that will eventually have 3 apartments; ours is the only one available now, so we had the place to ourselves. The two minor issues we had, Michelle took care of right away. It's artfully decorated and had everything you'll need. Located near plenty of points of interest, and great restaurants. We can't wait to return (especially to see how Michelle finishes the 3rd apartment. )

Sweet Escape!

We had an excellent trip to the Berkshires thanks in huge part to Michelle and this sweet gem of a property. From the very beginning, Michelle was incredibly responsive and thoroughly answered all my questions with kindness and thoughtfulness. Our apartment was sparkling clean, thoughtfully decorated, and outfitted with everything we needed: kitchen items, toiletries, linens… even a blue tooth speaker. We easily settled in the moment we walked in the door. The queen size bed was so comfortable and I haven’t slept that well in a long time! The barn itself sits on a gorgeous piece of land which is close to myriad activities: museums, restaurants, wineries, hiking, galleries. We took in a show at Tanglewood and got home in under 15 minutes. (Not counting exiting the parking lot. God speed to you on that one…) During our trip, my partner and I were already planning a fall vacation back to the barn. Thanks to Michelle for a wonderful summer vacation! We’ll definitely be back!
