Best beach on the bay

The room was fine, most importantly the bed was comfortable and it the area was not to loud that you could not sleep. The absolute best part of the stay was the beach. It had a great sandbar that got waist deep about 100 yards out. The beach sand was great and plenty of space to lay out. Would stay here again.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: location was fine but we had a total of three for the stay and it was ma little small for three adults. the bathroom was too small could'nt move in the shower.
Resposta de VrboOwner em 24 de jun. de 2023
Looks like the service, cleanliness and location exceeded expectations. We realize that the bathrooms are small in some units as we only have so much space to work with. We are sorry your overall satisfaction was rated so low. We are on a mission to make the experience 5 stars and hope that you will come back again sometime. Thanks for taking a moment to review the property

Great getaway weekend!

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My husband and I and our three kids stayed here for 2 nights. We had a great stay and would highly recommend staying here to anyone. The unit was clean, staff was friendly and we enjoyed all the amenities. We ate the majority of our meals in the unit to which I would suggest getting a better can opener. Besides that, everything we needed was provided. 5/5 stars, thank you North Shore Inn!

Kaitlyn, Thank you for taking a moment to give us a true review. We are working on adding some minor amenities to the room to make our guests stay better. I will make note of the can opener as that is something that is on our list Jamie GM

Anniversary Weekend

Our first experience using VRBO. All concerns I had are gone. Great experience. Property location is great and the exterior looks very fresh and updated on the exterior, so great first impression. Check in was really simple and fast. Condo was super clean (very important to us) and seems to have been updated relatively recently. Only improvement I could recommend would be a light filtering shade or blind for the bedroom window. Quite a bit of light filtered in at night. But a great stay. Beach area was very nice as well.

Great location

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was very satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Unit was nicely decorated, clean and the bed was very comfortable. Shower was tiny. I struggled to shower without touching the curtain or the walls (and I am not a big person). Our only other comment is that you can clearly hear footsteps from your neighbor above. We were on floor 2 and could hear everything. Outside of these two things, the location, the staff and the grounds were fantastic! We would stay here again.

Not clean: Unit 209

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was very dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The location was great. The space was dirty and the furniture was in bad shape. I reached out to front desk, no response. I took pictures, it was rough.

I will certainly look into this. Normally our staff is more than willing to help our guests with concerns. I am very sorry for any inconvenience and anything that seemed out of order. We are always looking to improve, however, this seems unacceptable Jamie GM

Not good

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was very dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Upon arrival, there was feces in our toilet. toilet didn’t flush called maintenance still didn’t work properly had to plunge after every use. dishes had caked on dirt. tv didn’t work had to call maintenance. Tv was very small, remote didn’t work. Could not open the door to the balcony for the view because tv was in the way. emailed before arrival to make sure there were skillets and backing pans, I was told there were, that it was a fully equipped kitchen, it was not, had to purchase pans. The bed was like sleeping on concrete, pull out was even worse. None of the furniture was comfortable, the sofa cushions didn’t even fit the sofa, there was a 2-3 inch gap in the middle. We were not satisfied at all and would not recommend staying here!!

Pontos negativos: Check-in e comunicação
Beautiful view, terrible check-in experience. After calling and notifying of a late check in and confirming with the representative that the lockbox provided would be accessible and no code was needed, we arrived at 9:30pm to a lockbox that very much needed a combination. I tried calling the 24hr number provided via the text received and no one answered, I sent a message through VRBO app and tried replying to the text that was sent, again to no response. After trying several different combinations, we figured out on a random off chance that the code was the area code for the office. Thankfully we were able to figure that out because management did not call me back until around 10:30am the following morning to double check that we made it into the unit. The condo unit itself was beautiful with a great view. I am very familiar with upnorth Michigan in the summer, so I understand there are lots of bugs, however the balcony had so many dead bugs and cobwebs that we could not use it without shoes on. There was also a section of someone’s hair found on the floor in the bedroom and the furniture in the bedroom was dusty. This was by far the most complicated VRBO process we’ve had yet and we’ve stayed in several over the years.

So sorry to hear about this. We have those lockboxes in place to make things easier not more difficult. I do not have a record of after hours missed calls that evening on my cell phone or I certainly would have helped you out. Our front desk person on duty is very new and I am sorry he didn't give you the proper code to the lockbox. As far as the balconies go, we clean them on every checkout and try again before arrivals, however, with the creek here and being on the water bugs like to land wherever they can. Again, I am sorry for the mix up. As you can see from almost all of our reviews this does not happen here. Again, No excuses, just an apology and hope you'd give us another chance. Jamie GM
