'Mountains Majesty' - Beautiful 5 BR, Easy Access to Slopes

Mountains Majesty house is in a great location for skiers and non skiers. We are a five minute walk or free shuttle ride to the lifts for skiers or boarders. Cross country skiing begins in the meadows across the street. The hill behind the house provides fun sled runs. You can also enjoy staying warm inside, watching the skiers from the living room, and meeting up for lunch and dinner. We have a gas powered fireplace in front of a soft carpet for playing games or reading. In the warmer weather Kirkwood is your peaceful getaway for hiking, mountain & road biking, fishing, boating and exploring the Sierras. Our house is also a great choice for business retreats and housing the wedding party for celebrations at Kirkwood.

With 2700SF and five bedrooms on two floors, the house easily fits multiple families, a really large family, or friendly groups of adults. Each bedroom is named for a famous mountain, and furnished with fresh sheets and new mattresses, and a bed suitable for adults. The great room brings people together with a warm gas fireplace, and mountain views through a wall of windows reaching 20 feet high.

The kitchen will make eating with your group fun and easy. It has yards of counter space. The appliances are up to date with a Kitchen Aid fridge, Jennair gas stove, Cuisinart coffee maker, a toaster oven, rice cooker and a blender. We have a spice rack and we keep the kitchen stocked with decent pots, lots of plates and silverware, and the basics you want like tin foil and disposable food storage bins. The kitchen accommodates a crowd. The dining table seats 8-10 with room for four more at the bar.

The house is well setup for kids with sturdy furniture, and few knickknacks. There are two rooms with multiple beds. We have games, books and a TV/Blu-ray DVD with Netflix streaming access.

Kirkwood is a great resort location with something for everyone. In the winter Kirkwood has the best downhill and cross-country skiing with average snowfall of 50 feet - much more than the other Lake Tahoe ski resorts. There is easy access for sledding, snowshoeing and other snow activities. There are recreation facilities just steps from the front door: tennis, basketball, and a children's playground.
