Roomy condo, enjoyable stay

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was more than happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: My daughter and I enjoyed our stay. The condo is roomy, and just a few short steps to the beach. We greatly appreciated the beach set up (chairs & umbrella) that come with the rental...it made a girls trip so easy! I suggest bringing a sleep mask....the vertical blinds do not open/close fully or easily, nor do they block much light bc they are missing individual pieces. We ended up leaving them open the entire stay, which did not feel very comfortable at night, and made for very early, very bright mornings. Maybe management can consider replacing the vertical blinds in the unit. Also the tv in the primary bedroom only has cable access. Adding a Roku or fire stick would be ideal. Thankfully the tv in the living room had a Roku so we were able to stream in the living room. All in all, a good stay.

The location was beautiful and the beach was amazing. We were less than impressed with the property management. When we arrived we arrived we immediately noticed the smoke detector had no batter and was beeping, a light was out in the living room, another light was out in the bedroom, a closet door in the master bedroom didn't open and the ice maker didn't work. We called the maintenance number and Mike came up within the hour. He was able to fix the smoke detector and the light in the living room and he removed the closet door so we could use the closet. He brought us up a bag of ice from the clubhouse and he was off the next 2 days but someone would be back to fix the other light and the icemaker. This was on Saturday and no one ever came back. While there we also noticed the top part of the outlet next to fridge didn't work, we had another light go out in the master bathroom, there was mold on the curtain in the master bath and the stopper for the tub didn't work. The space was beautiful and the location was great, but when paying that much for a condo I expect the to have certain things, like ice and lights. We would probably stay here again just because of the location but the property management team needs to do better.

BEWARE!!!! Will NEVER stay at Pelican Walk Resort ever again

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was somewhat dirty. I was more than happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Stayed in unit 408. Condo was described as "No Pets" and "No smoking". Signs on the door stated as such. Unit 407 next door had no smoking and no pets on their door as well. The people renting 407 had 3 dogs that barked non stop. Someone in the complex was smoking pot that you could smell if you were sitting on the balcony or at the pool with everyone at the pool commenting about it. It seems the whole complex allows pets and I would say 90% or more had 1, 2, or 3 dogs. I was notified of the elevator being down 5 minutes AFTER I reserved the condo. There should be a notice on your site advising of this issue before people make reservations. The one elevator that was out due to repairs, caused long wait timesand with everyone having their dogs on the elevator there was no room at times to ride if we even wanted to ride with barking, growling dogs. My husband is disabled and has limited mobility, so taking the stairs up and down 4 flights was difficult. There needed to be benches or chairs on each floor where the wait for the elevator was taking 10 to 15 minutes or longer at times. The resort could be beautiful and peaceful as it has wonderful waterfront access and views of the gulf, but it is a true flea motel with all the dogs in the hallways, elevators, parking lots, everywhere. When unit 407 was cleaned, a large amount of dog hair and fur was left out in the hall that we had to walk through to get to our door. So BEWARE that stating a unit as pet and smoke free does NOT mean the whole resort is and you will be exposed to pets and smoke if you are allergic or intolerant.
