OLD HOUSE WAS BARRY.CLEAN HOT WAS VERY NICE AND HELPFUL.WORKED AS IT SHOULD GREAT KITCHEN WAS VERY CLEAN AND HAD EVERYTHING USED WOULD NEED TO COOK AND EAT.. We had a wonderful stay at this cabin and would absolutely come back. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and had plenty of space for everyone. We really loved how secluded and peaceful it felt, while still being close enough to Pigeon Forge and nearby attractions to make getting out easy. The screened-in porch and hot tub overlooking the mountains were definite highlights and made it such a relaxing getaway. Coffee in the morning on the porch was wonderful. The kitchen had what we needed, and having Wi-Fi plus washer/dryer was also really convenient. Overall, this was a cozy, quiet, and enjoyable place to stay, and we would definitely recommend it.

Absolutely love coming here! This is my second time staying at this cabin this time I brought my mom along with me! Very clean and relaxing and the hot tub just tops it off! Very steep hill and rough road but I feel as if this is about with almost every cabin on a hilltop! Can’t wait to come back!

Relaxing getaway

This cabin was perfect for what we needed it for. The location is good. Hot water is great to soak in a hot bathe if not in the not tub. We were able to relax and have an enjoyable time.

Wonderful Stay!

Perfect place to stay for our vacation! Alot of little details we appreciated, magnified mirror in bathroom! Spices in kitchen, corn hole to play outside on porch! Bed was very comfortable with extra pillows! Hot tub was so relaxing. The place was very clean and we hope to some day rebook!

Late Summer Getaway

The week was wonderful! From the start we were treated to a clean comfortable home, a fully equipped kitchen, a new grill (A real bonus) and a hot tub ready for use. The views from the porch were wonderful, but the best was at sunset. We will be back next year!!!

Beautiful view! Loved the peace and quiet. Sitting out on the porch swing, and drinking my cup of coffee in the morning, was worth every penny! We saw a lot of wild life, driving around it the area. We definitely would book there again.

Cute cabin for a short stay

The location is great, and the drive in is moderate level for non mountain drivers. Nice driveway with entry level to the cabin. You can tell in a quick glance the place is heavily rented but it's tidy and welcoming. There's a few updates needed like, new towels and cutlery. The comfy mattress in the bedroom seems more of a full than a queen. Tall people FYI.

Vacation

Cabin was nice, needs some work, especially with all the doors. Doors hard to open and shut, and disappointed pond was a good ways away from the cabin. Driveway was also pretty steep so AWD probably needed at certain times.

Splendid Joy

We truly enjoyed our stay. The staff and owner were so helpful. Whatever issue that we had, and there weren't many, were resolved quickly. There is a sweet spirit in that cabin. I have to say that the last hill leading to the cabin is a doozy, but any auto can handle it. Honestly we did not want to leave, and we will surely be returning very soon. Wife and I were on our anniversary and the peace and quiet was splendid Joy. We recommend this cabin to anyone who will respect it!

Quiet, secluded and Cozy with many amenities

Enjoyed our stay. Cabin is convenient to almost every attraction. Has awesome washer/dryer, outdoor grill, and plenty kitchen utensils including a crock pot. Fridge has ice maker! Water is piping hot and the tap water is cold and good tasting (And I never drink tap water lol). View is amazing. Host was A+ when we contacted them about the tv remote (needed batteries). There’s enough parking space for two vehicles. Bed was comfy and slept good every night.

Nice cabin

It was a nice cabin. would definitely stay again with just me and my husband. The pull out was unusable - it would sink and not stay up. The twin cot in the pool table room wasn't what expected - though my 15 yr old slept on it anyways. Did read reviews about the ripped screen - did not bother me but thought it would of been fixed as old as reviews were. Was very clean. No pantry to put groceries. Good thing we didn't have a lot. Overall I was pleased - view is beautiful from patio upstairs.

Beautiful, quiet, and relaxing

Beautiful cozy cabin in the mountains. Property is clean, beds are very comfortable, and this is just the ticket if you are looking to get away for a while and recharge the batteries. Gorgeous view over the mountains into a valley, hot tub and rocking bench look right out over it. Check in was a breeze, and the only time I reached out to the owner was on check in day when we got into town at 10 am and asked if we could go take a look at the property to get a lay of the land, and she said she could do us one better and let us check in right then! The night before rental left early and they had already cleaned the place. Was great to get the extra time to unpack and get our vacation started right. Very reasonable price, beautiful location, great management. The driveway is steep as with most places around here, but should not be a problem for most cars. Highly recommended

We had a 1 yr old with us and there was pet hair every where. Wasnt much of a view, we thought it was more wilderness. The little pond was discussing, looked like oil in it ! Said had access to a canoe, no access. The upstairs bathtub, you need a step stool to get into it

Good, but not our favorite.

Location and views were spectacular. Cabin looks just like pictures listed, although the bright LED bulbs in some light fixtures were eerie and blinding. Fireplace was lovely. Living room TV lagged extremely bad, but contact person fixed this issue. (Great communication) Some plugs appeared to not be working unless light switch was flipped, and even then, only certain plug-in items worked. The last day, we were finding several ants around the sink and bathtub. Dried soap throughout jacuzzi tub (not hard water stain, but actual soap from previous user.) Downstairs bedroom had a dog odor on bed comforter. I wanted to love this cabin, but for the price I felt like it could’ve been a lot nicer.

House needs work

The house got us by for the week, but health and safety concerns were prominent. There were exposed electrical wires to light fixture. An uncovered electrical outlet by the head of the bed and another one in the bed room. Not safe. We also kept smelling what seemed to be raw sewage only to find there was an exposed sewage pipe with no lid by the driveway. Smelly and unacceptable. Was very disappointed with condition of the cabin. On a positive note the mountain view was pleasant and the hot tub was a plus. The cabin was clean and its about 15 minutes from Pigeon Forge.

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they wanted to share the following: - The missing or cracked electrical face plates behind and below the bed will be immediately replaced. We apologize that this impacted your stay. - The loose septic lid will be secured with bolts. Also, a stronger septic pipe was installed last month to mitigate any issues in the future. - As an owner, I Always go out of my way to provide a safe and clean environment for our guests, as evidenced by the recent upgrades to the cabin. - We wish you had reached out to us during your visit so we could have provided immediate assistance. Canceled

We never even entered the property because the owner canceled on us about an hour after we were supposed to check in. (We first got an email saying they were running behind.) Supposedly there were plumbing issues. We totally understand that is out of the owner’s control, but there was no assistance provided to find us an alternative place to stay. We also offered to still come to the rental to see if it was something we could work around since we had already been waiting a while to check in. They said no. I am still trying to get VRBO to refund our last $206 since we were left with no rental and all of the hotels in the area were full. It was a miserable day as we spent hours trying to find somewhere else to stay.

Hi Rachel, thank you for your feedback. The homeowner was looking forward to providing you with an enjoyable stay; however, due to safety concerns, it was not possible to host your group. After going over your feedback with the homeowner, we wanted to share the following: - The owner contacted Evolve immediately as their cleaning staff informed them of busted, gushing, and subsequently frozen pipes due to the extreme cold weather. This weather condition seriously impacted the shared well system to five other cabins with diminished, or no water available. - Additionally, the roads were inaccessible, which made it difficult to get a plumber to the location in a timely manner to do what they could to mitigate any further damage. The plumber determined it was a safety concern to drive their vehicle so they walked up to the property. - Many surrounding cabins incurred frozen pipes as well, with some cabins, canceling current and future guests for several weeks. - Our records showed an Evolve representative spoke with you over the phone and via email. They tried to help find alternative accommodations. Unfortunately, no other properties were available in the area for a same-day check-in, but they sent rentals with available check-in for the next day. - Evolve also issued you a full refund. The service fee goes directly to Vrbo, not Evolve or the homeowner, and the refund for the service fee is out of our control. We sincerely apologize that the weather impacted your stay. The owner will continue to do all they can in their control to provide guests with an enjoyable stay!

Formerly wilted rose now mountain rose

Well, when you pull up and see someone was to lazy to paint the fence door when changing the name. That was the first bad sign! Yes, wilted rose the former name stood boldly out for all still to see along with the new name mountain rose. But, that was trivial issue compared to the way this third party provider does business. First, pictures and advertising very deceiving. Second, they had a fee called “damage protection.” It was over a hundred dollars. When I called Evolve expecting the monies back they said it’s not refundable. I said there was no damage done. So, I told them I’m contacting VRBO about no refund. They (during my VRBO call) went and changed the language from PROTECTION to WAIVER that quick. If you look beyond the first couple reviews you will see these are long standing issues. I’m just going to bullet point them: Floors are not level Can’t shower upstairs Felt on pool table awful condition Not able to consistently lock the door when leaving Cobwebs everywhere (inside and outside) Stove/oven not a standard size (mini) Crowded furniture, so tight hardly can walk around the place Over grown trees make it dark inside Huge potholes on drive up the hill Weak flushing toilets

We followed up with the homeowner after reading your feedback, and they would like to share the following: - We've ordered new signage that will be posted accordingly. - We strive to be transparent with our guests at every stage of the booking process and do break down all rates and fees before the reservation is confirmed. We're sorry if the damage protection fee caught you off-guard. - We haven't had an issue with the shower upstairs but will look into this immediately. - We haven't had complaints about the pool table in the past but will address the issues and replace the felt if needed. Thanks for letting us know. - Cobwebs can be prevalent during this time of year. Our housekeeping staff and pest control service do all they can to mitigate this problem. - The stove is smaller than the standard size so that it could fit in the kitchen. - We've shared this feedback with our tree cutting service who will trim the foliage around the home. - The road has been completely repaired by the newly established HOA with a special assessment of the cabin owners. Was ok.... a few minor issues

Cabin was decent... we enjoyed our stay. Probably wouldn’t stay there again. Cobwebs EVERYWHERE! Couldn’t walk through cabin without walking into a cobweb!! Xbox did not work.. cable connecting it to the tv was broken. That was a bummer. Jacuzzi tub upstairs jets did not work. Also tub is so deep short person like myself (5’3) couldn’t get in it without stepping on something first. Kind of inconvenient. Didn’t realize there wasn’t a real shower in upstairs bathroom. To use the shower head in the jacuzzi tub you would get water EVERYWHERE! So we just showered downstairs. TV in bedroom is teeny tiny. Dated. And remote did not work. Not a big deal but inconvenient. Read several comments prior that said memory foam bed was very comfortable. Was not terrible but sure wasn’t comfortable. No where to put your clothing in the bedroom. (Dresser) So we just kept everything in our bags. Kitchen seemed to be very well stocked. We did not cook however. Freezer had an ice maker which was a plus. Outside hot tub was very nice!! Very hot!!! Very relaxing!! (Was our favorite part) pool table was nice... only had time to play once... porch was nice and closed in so pets could roam around when we sat outside. Was perfect size for us 2 adults and 2 dogs.

Kaley, we're glad you enjoyed your stay overall, but are sorry to hear certain aspects fell short. As this cabin is in a woodsy, mountainous location, there are occasional bugs. However, we can assure you that the property is regularly services for pests, including annual roof resealing. We appreciate your suggestions for areas of improvement and can confirm the issues with the bathtub jets and cobwebs will be addressed. Needs Work

We arrived shortly after 4 PM. First and foremost. If you think that this cabin has its own Private Pond like I did, it does not. there is not really much anything private about it and there were no paddle boats. As we arrived inside I wanted to check things out. The downstairs fire came right on but the upstairs one did not. I tried calling Fred several times, several different ways and could not reach him so I called the next number and spoke with Vicki. I told Vicki about the Fireplace upstairs and she said she would call me back in an hour, well about three hours later I got a return call and she told me to call her back Sunday evening and also that it would probably be Monday before someone could come look at it. ( Um, I'm sorry I rented this cabin and expect things to work and you should send someone over now). It was raining the day we came in so my wife and I decided just to stay around the cabin and play pool. There is only one pool stick that actually works. While we were playing pool we noticed water running down the inside walls of the pool room. We then began to notice all of the water stains all over the walls. Sunday was our Anniversary and we went sight seeing and wanted to come back and enjoy the hot tub. Only one jet in the hot tub works and come to find out the hot tub it self must not be kept clean because I got a rash from it. We looked it up on internet and found the reasoning that hot tub rash is cause by un clean water. Then we heard something in the wall behind the fireplace downstairs. It sounded like a mouse. We noticed that the shower downstairs has mold and mildew on the shower curtain. I just feel if you are going to have property that you rent out, it should be in top notch shape.

We are sorry to hear you didn't enjoy your stay. We strive to provide the most accurate listing as possible and do not mention that the pond is private, or that a paddle boat would be available on any of the listing websites. It is available on occasion, but it is a shared boat within the other nearby homes. We checked with the homeowner and he did not have any calls from you during your stay, but he regrets not being able to help you! The housekeeper has been working for the property for over a decade, and we've never heard any negative feedback regarding her or her responsiveness. The hot tub water gets emptied and refilled after each guest, so we are unsure how a rash occurred, but apologize for the trouble! It was also professionally serviced two months ago and the jets were in working order at that time. A pest removal company came in after the stay and did not find any mice in the home, but did mention that flying squirrels who are native to the area may have been the cause of the noise. They are often found running on roofs or in chimney's in the area. We're sorry they startled you! Again, we apologize for any inconvenience and have refunded you the cleaning fee for the issues you encountered, and due to the discount that you received, you also ended up with a free night. We are sorry you did not enjoy this romantic cabin but wish you the best of luck in your future travels.

Misrepresentation!

The pluses: Nice view. Close drive to everything! A bit steep to drive up to, but we made it fine. Felt secluded, even with a cabin right next door. You tend to hang out on the opposite side of the cabin, so don’t notice them much. The minuses: There is NO pool table! We were so disappointed to arrive and find a bed in it’s place. No one told us of this change & it was one of the main reasons we choose this cabin. The ashtrays outside were filled with cigarette butts when we got there. The first morning I grabbed a plastic spatula out of the container & it had a big glob of dried egg on it! GROSS!! How could you not see that when you put it away? The place needs some TLC. It appears they are in the process, as new lumber was stacked between the hot tub & the wall on the screened in porch, which is a joke, because the screens are not secure in several places, holes or not attached. Sure made it a challenge to get the dilapidated cover on & off of the outdated hot tub. We ended up crawling on top of the lumber to reach it. The shower was another disappointment. To get the most pressure, you had to turn it all the way to hot. If you added cold you lost pressure. Hard to get a good shower that way! Tried upstairs, but unless you want to hold the hand-held shower on you at all times, you will not get wet. The hook is mounted too far to the right, for the water to ever reach you standing there. The highlight was seeing a huge bear walk right up beside our truck, parked at the cabin. We got a close up view & major exhilaration!! Just a warning. IF they fix the screens and put a pool table back in, we would happily stay there again. I will also add that the owner said we will get one night free for compensation. Waiting on that to appear. It helps, but didn’t fix our problem.

The homeowner was in the process of transitioning the home into a two-bedroom during the slower season and the pool table had been removed for this reason. We'd like to take responsibility for not communicating this to you properly and hope that the generous measures taken helped to make up for this inconvenience. The homeowner would also like to share the following: - We have addressed the cleanliness issue you experienced with our cleaning team to ensure this does not recur for future guests. - The wood was being temporarily stored but has recently been used to re-do the deck. The screens and the deck have been replaced and we do apologize that this impacted your stay. - The water is on a well system and a new HOA Board is looking into adding a storage water tank to help enhance pressure. We appreciate your valuable feedback and hope you consider revisiting now that the updates have been made!

Excellent getaway

Absolutely amazing cabin. The view is spectacular! We absolutely loved the swing overlooking the mountain view and spent many hours there. The hot tub was very nice !It was nice and clean and absolutely perfect! We had several outings planned but ended up not doing half of them just so we could enjoy the downtime.Our only disappointment was no bears 😭 but cabin 10 did get 2 bears after cooking steak on the grill that came up on there porch ...at least we saw the video !
