This lovely one story, 3 bedroom 2 bath home is conveniently located a half mile from the center of Taos and 20 miles from Taos Ski Area.

It is an historic adobe home which has been extensively expanded and remodeled. Additions include a large living room with Kiva fireplace, sun room, and a large entertainment den.

It has three bedrooms including a huge primary ensuite bedroom. There are two private patios, one with a large gazebo, and the other with a 4 person private hot tub. It is located within walking distance of the town plaza, on a quiet cul-de-sac street with private parking and remote control entry gate.

There are two casitas in back of the property that are currently occupied by a responsible, mature, renters. Your privacy is completely assured.

Beautiful and comfortable house

This is a beautiful house original artwork, a layout with privacy in mind, a great hot tub and kiva fireplace. The property manager and owner responded were responsive and gracious. We highly recommend this property!

Everything you need

Loved the location, set back at the end of the road and very peaceful. The distance from the square was perfect; one could go on a longer walk to square or, if the weather is not great, there is a convenient free lot next to the square to park in. The house is well stocked with a kitchen that has all the appliances and utensils one needs, 2 living areas, and a lovely courtyard. We'd definitely stay here again and again.

ski trip

3 couples stayed 3 nights. The kitchen was supplied sufficiently for light cooking. Beds were comfy, but pillows too tall for some. Yard and details of the house were stylish and uniquely Southwest! Driving to Taos Valley was no problem and we had opportunity to explore Taos easily.

Peaceful Retreat!

This beautiful home, with all the amenities, in a great location, was absolutely perfect for our family over the Holidays!!This home has large spaces with courtyards, hot tub and the authentic Taos atmosphere! Well outfitted for cooking, family gatherings and relaxing! Honestly, we didn’t want to leave! The owner was welcoming and quick to respond to my inquiries , though we never saw him. We will definitely be coming back! I highly recommend!! Thank you for sharing your home! ❤️

Perfect way to relax and restore

This is one the best houses I've rented on VBRO - the unique layout gives the family or guests lots of room to spread out so that everyone can have alone time and gather together. Which is especially needed when you have been cooped up with your family for a year. I especially loved the decor, the art, the tile - all special touches that make this house special. The house was stocked with everything we needed (except food of course) which made our stay very easy to relax and feel at home. The location is great - 5 min from grocery stores, restaurants and shopping.

Quiet, great location

I can't say enough good about Jim's home. It's a great location, easily walkable to downtown, and also very close to some great hiking trails. The house was very well appointed, with good skillets and knives (something I've never seen in any other rental I've used). You can't go wrong renting this place.

Perfect getaway in Taos! Spacious, private, easy walk to town

Our family of six adults and dog had an awesome long weekend in Taos to celebrate thanksgiving. This home exceeded our expectations. The private outdoor spaces, hottub and kiva fireplace were the highlights of our trip. It was an easy walk to town and the kitchen was well stocked to prepare a thanksgiving dinner. Would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Lovely home and great location

We enjoyed our recent Taos stay immensely! The house is roomy with lots of places to sit/lounge comfortably, inside and outside. The beds are very comfortable. The kitchen is well stocked with dishes, utensils, pots, pans and appliances. There were five in our group and we were all well pleased with our stay. The location is convenient to the old plaza with its galleries and shops and places to eat. The weather was great during our stay, so we did not need to use heating or cooling. We did enjoy using the hot tub! Everything was in working order and clean. We could have used more bath towels, hand towels and washcloths. There is a washer and a dryer available, but it would be nice to have enough bath linens to not need to do laundry during a one-week stay. We did NOT contact the property manager or the owner about this issue, though, so I guess we shouldn't complain! It really is a lovely, private house and garden with everything you need for a great vacation. I would definitely stay there again and recommend it to family and friends and anyone else looking for a great rental.

Enjoyed our stay.

Very much as advertised. Roomy and well equipped. Clean. Seemed further from town center than 0.3 Miles. Quiet location. Owner very responsive to questions and calls. Family enjoyed table games available by owner. About 30 minute drive to Ski Valley. Worked out great for our family of 6, would recommend for others.

Spacious Family Getaway

This is a lovely, well-maintained and spacious home, in the heart of Taos! We celebrated Thanksgiving there this year and had plenty of room for 3 couples and 4 young children (who slept in a heap on the floor of the den). It is within walking distance to Taos plaza and several restaurants. The house had a fully equipped kitchen (including coffee maker), 2 separate bathrooms, and working wi-fi. The master suite is gorgeous- with a large bath tub and walk-in shower. Also, the owner/manager of the property promptly responded to questions and messages. Highly recommend!

Wonderful! Very comfortable and great location.

We booked this property last minute to come visit our daughter who was doing an internship at the Taos Ski Valley Resort so I did not have high expectations. The house turned out to be one of the highlights of our short time in Taos. It is charming and feels so comfortable like being at home. Very clean and well appointed with everything we needed. It is a very pleasant walk into town to shop and dine. Truly enjoyed our visit to the Taos Treasure and highly recommend it. Hope to return to both Taos and this home again in the future.

Magical Family Weekend at this artfully appointed Taos retreat

We enjoyed another magical weekend with family at this wonderful home. Even though this house is just a walk away from downtown - and also just around the corner from a wonderful spa/restaurant - it feels like it's worlds away. The space has many areas to settle with a book or maybe enjoy a morning yoga routine - we found a yoga mat which made it easier to do on the tile - all while surrounded by fun pieces of art, stained glass, decorative tiles and other knick-knacks that gave us a taste of Taos decor. This was our second year visiting this particular VRBO property. We have several family members with special dietary needs and therefore made all of our meals here during our stay - the fully stocked kitchen is one of our favorite aspects of this property. There is a large dining room table inside. We chose to use this as a buffet serving area during dinner so that everyone could take their meal outside and dine by candlelight in the enclosed courtyard. We spent many hours laughing over dinner and dessert at the table in that beautifully landscaped area! This location is ideal for those who like to spend their days enjoying the many art galleries and festivals that are along the main street through town. We also visited the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge outside of town for hiking. We stopped by Cid's Food Market on the way back to pick up gluten free/organic groceries. We appreciated having the laundry onsite so we could clean our hiking clothes before the next part of our trip. We also appreciated the quality of the beds - everybody got a good night's sleep (and a few naps!) after our hike. Thanks, Jim for another wonderful year at your lovely space in Taos!

Great home for family get together.

Three generations of our family enjoyed our week in this comfortable Taos house. There is ample room (inside and out) for 6 people (and dogs) to be together and also enjoy some private space. When we told the owner that we had some persistent bees or hornets, he had them sprayed within hours. It was quite warm during our visit, so we especially appreciated the efficient evap cooler. We would definitely consider staying at this house again.

The house is wonderful-spacious and beautiful and honey!

Would definitely stay here again. Home Away let us down, however. I never received arrival information and had to contact the homeowner directly. Also they got our dates wrong and almost rented the place a day early! Host is lovely-It all worked out, but Home Away needs improvement!

Fabulous family time in Taos

Several members of our family stayed here during a wonderful weekend in Taos. This space was even better than advertised! We had plenty of room and bathrooms, yet it also felt cozy, with several places where people could gather for a conversation or a meal. Dining out or dining in were both stellar options here. We enjoyed making meals in the generously-stocked and well-equipped kitchen (ex: blue corn pancakes one morning from a delicious mix we found in the cupboard). The large dining table just off the kitchen was a perfect place for family to gather. We also enjoyed eating out at a beautiful spa just down the street (we stumbled onto it while walking). Like so many other reviewers, we enjoyed spending time out in the beautiful, shaded courtyard. The house was tastefully decorated and there were interesting art details and pieces to delight in every direction. The location was ideal - downtown is just around the corner, yet we felt a world away when we came home. We appreciated the excellent communication from both the owner and manager - we would definitely recommend and stay here again!

Wonderful place to relax and to enjoy the area!

The house was very comfortable for 5 women to share. It was tidy, spacious, and in a nice location. We especially enjoyed having breakfast in the private courtyard, surrounded by lovely flowers. The property has a cozy, welcoming feel. We didn't end up cooking any meals since there were so many options for dining out, but the kitchen and dining room were inviting. We also didn't use the hot tub, but it looked very clean! The owner and manager were very accessible and quick to respond to our request of turning on the evaporative cooler. Both of them contacted us to make sure we were satisfied. We enjoyed our short stay in Taos and this home certainly is a gem!

Beautiful and very comfortable home

The home was better than advertised! Located very close to downtown but at the end of a quiet street, it provided the perfect balance. The home was very comfortable for our group of five (including a 3 year old). The decor was very much northern New Mexico/Taos. It was the perfect home and location for our 4 day trip!

Annual Family Ski Trip

Our family of 5 were completely satisfied with the facilities. The house is very spacious. Master bedroom very roomy and bathroom was good. Second and third bedrooms plenty of room as well. Two living areas with comfortable seating. Kitchen and dining room met our needs. The house was warm and cozy. Our ski strip was complete but wish we had another day just to lounge around the house. We hope to return. Thank you Jim for the accomodations.

Labor Day Weekend

Absolutely wonderful property. Very comfortable, private, relaxing, and a very warm feeling. Just the Taos feeling you would expect. Home is very clean and so nicely decorated. Nice courtyard with crab apple trees, native plants, and tables and chairs for seating 10-12 people. Caretakers are very nice and kept a very low profile. About 1/2 mile from the main shopping district.
