Enjoy oceanfront splendor at Ocean Dunes 1903. This beautiful, three story home is a perfect spot to make memories at the beach! Three levels of living spaces, include 4 bedrooms plus a bonus room to allow ample sleeping for up to 12 guests. This is a beautiful three-story oceanfront townhome with stunning, uninterrupted views of the ocean from the expansive living area with tons of natural light, the massive attached deck, and the third-floor sundeck off the primary suite. The first floor is home to 1 bedroom with a King size bed, a full bathroom, and a bonus room entertainment space that includes 2 twin bunk beds. On the second floor, you and your family can hang out in the large living room, which has a deck attached. You can also spend time together in the open kitchen, which has granite countertops and stainless steel appliances. This floor has the second bedroom, with a king-size bed, and a hall bathroom. The top floor has the remaining two bedrooms, two full bathrooms, and a show-stopping panoramic view from the attached deck off the primary suite. Both bedrooms on this level have King Size beds and flat screen TVs. Guests can enjoy the Ocean Dunes Resort's indoor pool and hot tub, fitness center, tennis courts, and beach access for some Carolina fun-in-the-sun.

I really enjoyed this house. The location was incredible. The views are amazing. The home is clean and has so much room. I know some of the reviews commented about the basement, but we did not have issues. We will be booking again.

Siblings reunion

The place was perfect for our sibling reunion. The house was bery comfortable for 11 people. It was close to a lot of things we wanted to see. The house has great beach access. We are hoping to go back next year. Lord Willing!

Absolutely wonderful!

Beautiful views of the ocean and coquina rock from entire main level and large oceanfront deck. Nice quiet neighborhood. Surprisingly spacious, large bedrooms with smart TVs, fully stocked kitchen, very clean. Master bedroom has widow’s walk with table and chairs for spectacular views. Plus, huge lower level with bunks and separate bedroom. Loved this place, we’ll be back!

Rainy days

We visited during a topical depression. It rained every day except the day we were checking out. Unit should definitely invest in new mattress. Had a lot of downtime but it was nice being able to just sit and relax without all the hustle and bustle of usual vacations.

Checking was a nightmare door code didn’t work we got there after hours and after 6 hours drive it took about 1 hour to checking due to the code address was sketchy after hours customer service was good and the bottom floor smell bad

HI Carlos, thank you for the review. When I look back at your reservation, I see that the error was using the wrong door for your guest code. Ocean Dunes is a large complex with 23 buildings and can be confusing after dark if you have never been there. We always reach out to our guest prior to arrival to go over the layout of the community. In the future give us a call anytime with any concerns we are just down the street as we are a local management company and are happy to help in any way we can.

Ladowi Family Vacation

We came back to Kure beach for the first time in 10 years. There were 10 adults, a teenager, and an infant. The house had plenty of space (including the kitchen and bedrooms) for all of us, and the furniture and beds were very comfortable. The ocean views were great, and we spent a lot of time sitting on the decks. The only negatives about the house were the number of cockroaches that we saw, inside and out on the deck, and the musty like smell down in the bottom level. Although the beach is right in the backyard, swimming and boogie boarding was difficult due to the rockiness' of the area. We had to move down the beach for these activities. If you are looking to simply walk in the water, you will be fine here. We also could have benefitted with having additional outdoor trash containers. With our numbers we generated a lot of trash and recycling, but our neighbors decided to use our containers as well, so this created somewhat of a mess on our last day.

Weekend getaway

We spent the long holiday weekend with friends and family. The house was absolutely gorgeous. The living room opened up to the deck overlooking the ocean, the master bedroom had its own private deck that allowed us to listen to the sound of the waves overnight. The kitchen is modern with plenty of dishes , appliances and a refrigerator with filtered water. The kids area in the basement was ideal for the teenagers to have their own space. The living room had 2 separate sitting areas with plenty of seating for all. The location of the house allowed for a short walk across the street to the recreation area. This is our new favorite area. We will definitely be back!!!

This house has wonderful bones, is in a wonderful location, and has beautiful views of the ocean. Unfortunately, it was also the filthiest and poorly maintained property our family has ever had the (mis)fortune of renting.Immediately upon walking in to the main level, our family noticed a broken floor tile, hole in the wall, dented dryer, & crushed bugs on the living room carpet. There was a brownish sludgy substance caked under the shelves of the fridge. All of the vents showed age & rust. What appeared to have formerly been a vanity copper sink in the bar area was rusted over. None of that would be worth noting if they were the only issues. Unfortunately, this home carried some legitimate health issues for our group - which contained a mix of adults and children with autoimmune & other health issues. The basement in the home at check in was 90% humidity, reeked of mildew, & the bedroom on that floor was unusable throughout our stay due to the overpowering odor. The upstairs master bedroom smelled of & had visible mold on the walls and ceiling of the closet. Property management’s solution was to treat it with bleach, primer, and run a humidifier from the master closet to the master bath sink all week. This caused the master bathroom and bedroom to reak of mold all week. The electricity frequently flickered in the home when plugging things in. Property guest services manager was supposed to call me & I’m still waiting for that call. Definitely steer clear!

Underwhelming

House smells like mold, my little boy coughed the whole time; the late 4 pm check-in and early 10 am checkout is too restrictive. Also you are supposed to check in no earlier than 4 but if you don’t arrive by 4 to the office to pick up parking pass they are calling you to say they are closing soon, are you coming? WORST of all, check-out instructions include leaving all dishes clean and put away, as in not even clean in the dishwasher; however there was no soap for either the dishwasher or liquid for hand washing dishes…..so disgusting. The proper cleaning of dishes for the next guests should NOT be entrusted to the previous renters, I was so grossed out when I realized we had been drinking from mugs that had likely only been rinsed. By the time you’ve stripped all the linens from beds, gathered all towels, taken out all garbage and (supposedly) cleaned all dishes, all before 10 am, you feel like you’ve done half the cleaning job for the cleaning company. It’s too expensive for this level of service.

HI Jordana, we are happy to help with early check in and late check out with notice, in the future when staying with us just ask for a 1pm check in and a 12 pm check out. If the home is not a back-to-back stay & we have time to rearrange housekeeping, we can absolutely make this happen for you. We are also happy to arrange to leave your parking passes and pool passes at the unit, we send out check in instructions 24 hour prior to guests. Since our travelers drive right past our office most stop in to pick up these items, but again we are happy to accommodate with notice given. We do not require owners to provide soap products, your check in instructions come via email & there is a list of items to remind you to bring including soap etc. But since this review I am happy to let you know, this owner has stocked up on all items and supplies everything you could possibly need. We are so sorry to hear about your little one and his cough being ocean front the lower level of homes can feel damp, the owner has installed a professional dehumidifier for any future concerns. We look forward to hosting you in the future and if you have any questions, please feel free to call us directly.

Vacation Issues during our stay

Check in was great. Received a text while in route that the unit was ready. Thinking it was going to be a trouble free vacation, proved wrong. On Monday, maintenance came by saying the previous occupants reported water was coming from the ceiling & was using a bucket to catch the water. This led us from not using the washer during the stay for fear of the same thing happening. Sheets that were delivered for the king bed, did not fit, which meant a call to have new ones delivered. Third day, the door knob came off & our attempts to put it back in place failed, leading to another maintenance call. The biggest complaint was finding black mold on the ceiling adjacent to the downstairs bedroom/bathroom. Maintenance came & found the ceiling was wet in 3 different locations & sprayed Kilz to cover each location. My husband spent 2 days inside for maintenance issues, which was not what our vacation was supposed to be about. I feel we are justified in a portion of the amount paid to be refunded by the owner, as it is a unit that we would not suggest to friends for future travel plans. This is our 3rd condo that we have rented at Ocean Dunes, and is by far, the one with the most issues that we have experienced.
