We had an absolutely wonderful time at this home! The views are amazing and the pictures don’t do it justice! We hiked a few times at 49 Palms Oasis which is just right up the hill. We highly recommend it. Just be sure to go early in the morning. Even as hot as it was when we were there, the pool was always cool and refreshing. The host was on top of it! Communication was top notch! The air conditioning wasn’t working on the 3rd day we were there and Jenny had someone out there ASAP to have it fixed. Even the AC repair guy was so nice to talk to! This home is the kind of place you don’t want to leave even though we did venture into town for late lunches. Highly recommend GRND SQRL for the burger. Jenny even offered to give us any recommendations on things to do. We spent most days on the lounge chairs taking in the views. We hands down hope to go back!

We loved our stay here! The views, property, and house felt so special. The kitchen was well-stocked with everything we needed and there were plenty of towels, pool towels, linens, etc. The host was kind, helpful, and prompt in her replies. The location was near two entrances to JTNP. Would definitely stay here again if we're back in the area!

Fantastic location for our visit to Joshua Tree National Park. Quick drive to the North Entrance, which never had a line to get in. The house was a beautiful setting with all the amenities we could want. Loved having the hot tub for a soak after days of hiking and climbing in the park.

Pontos negativos: Limpeza
The house is in a very quiet location, and the view is beautiful. But there are mice there that have gnawed on the bread we left in the kitchen. There’s mouse droppings on the kitchen counters and floors on the ground floor. This can’t be a recent problem, because there’s mouse droppings everywhere in the cabinets, too.In addition, the interior furnishings are quite old and urgently need to be replaced; drawers don’t close properly and are crooked, the showerheads are old and completely encrusted with limescale, and water leaks out everywhere from the handheld showerheads (hoses). The grill is old, as is the hot tub, and the insect screens are all crooked and therefore don’t close properly. The worst part, however, is when the landlord enters the house unannounced. When we complained about the mice, we were told that the landlord’s mother would take care of it. Despite our notice that we weren’t home, she entered anyway and left a package of coffee as an “apology.” The carpet is buckling, and it’s easy to trip over it. Not much is being done to the house; it seems to be there just to make money. It’s unacceptable for anyone to enter the house while we’re renting it.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. We are sorry that your stay did not meet all of your expectations. We take our guests’ comfort and experience seriously and appreciate the opportunity to address your concerns. The desert is a beautiful natural environment, and occasionally wildlife can find its way into homes despite preventative measures. When you brought the concern to our attention, we took it seriously and arranged to address the issue immediately. Regarding the property entry, we want to clarify that we responded to your request for assistance promptly and communicated in advance when we planned to stop by. At the time, our understanding was that this arrangement was acceptable. We certainly never intended to make you feel that your privacy was not respected, and we regret any misunderstanding. We also appreciate your feedback regarding the furnishings and maintenance items. We continually work to maintain and improve the property and take guest feedback into consideration. We are glad you enjoyed the peaceful location and beautiful views, and we appreciate you choosing 49 Palms Park Place. We wish you the best in your future travels.

The house is in a spectacular location, a specialness in landscaping and design that makes it stand-out as a place to remember; an ambience of luxury. For those over 60, there are sudden steps up and down in and out of the house that need to be watched out for, but we loved being very close to the National Park and feeling separated from the rush of town life.
