We stayed at Sea Gypsy before a cruise with other family members. The home was very welcoming and clean. Original artwork adorns the walls and the housewares are of excellent quality. I would stay again, the only thing I can think I would change and this is a personal preference is at least another TV in a bedroom.

Home was exactly as described, in a quiet neighborhood just a short walk away from downtown Cocoa Beach and the beach itself. I grew up in this neighborhood and was excited to be able to spend the weekend here again, and the house did not disappoint! Everything needed for a long stay is there, whether you want to cook all your meals, hang out at the beach, or even take a bike ride. I especially loved the original bathroom tile that was made to look retro by the coordinated handpainted walls, the original terrazzo floors in two of the bedrooms, and the memory foam beds. Would love to return and spend a week.

Worth Every Penny

This property is a perfect vacation getaway. It’s decorated beautifully, fully furnished, a short walk to the beach, and dolphins in the backyard! This is, by far, our best experience with VRBO and we’ll be booking this property again next summer.

Fabulous and Beautiful!

We loved our stay! The home is beautifully decorated and well-appointed, and the host went over and beyond to ensure a wonderful stay. We cooked our meals at the home and had all the kitchen appliances we needed. The beds were comfortable and we loved spending time together inside and outside the home. We brought our own paddleboards and enjoyed several paddles on the canal and fun time at the beach. It’s a quick walk to the beach with cute restaurants a couple blocks away. The location is perfect! I highly recommend and hope to stay here again!

Rare gem!

The home was exactly what we needed. The beds are comfortable and the house was very clean. The neighborhood is quaint and cute. And the canal in the backyard was quiet and calm. I will stay again when I get the chance.

Enjoyable Stay

We had a great time at the Sea Gypsy home. Located just steps from downtown Cocoa Beach, this home was perfect for a short stay after my conference in Orlando. The house is charming, comfortable, and loved. We would stay here again.

Beautiful, clean and welcoming home! Very walkable to shops, restaurants and beach. Home is on a canal very quiet and serene. Kitchen well equipped and bedrooms comfortable. Hosts were very friendly and replied quickly. Highly recommend this home.

Wonderful place!

Everything was easy from start to finish. Very clean, I will tell you that you might think there’s an owl in the kitchen, but it’s just the refrigerator. Lol! Owners are very friendly and helpful. Highly recommend!

Great Value and Location

The house is exactly as pictured. Wonderfully clean, I did not need to use my house slippers at all. Average pots and pans for a rental but coffee machine and an electric tea kettle was such a nice touch. Rest of kitchen fitted out well and with thought. Communication with owners is great. Not having to run out and buy toilet paper, paper towels, dishwasher tabs and other necessities was a huge bonus. Plenty of nice towels for showering and beach.The pluses:Location is exceptional. Just far enough away to not get the full noise but close (and safe) enough to easily walk to all the restaurants and bars. Any launches are easily seen in the backyard looking northeast or down the road at the beach. The room with the desk was perfect for setting up office. Being able to close the sliders for work calls meant others were able to continue to enjoy watching TV. The drawbacks: Outside chairs may be difficult for older people to get in and out of and only one side table for snacks. There is no outside table to sit at or dine. The lack of a full size gas grill was also disappointing but neither were listed on the description so that's on us. Still, have to deduct a star for those.Things to keep in mind: Beds in the two other rooms, as listed, are doubles and not queens like the master suite room. So they may be more suited to children or very small adults if sharing. They may also be somewhat soft to those who really need a firm mattress.

Cocoa Beach unwind

Beautiful home and perfect for a couple quiet beach days during the Holidays. Gorgeous Christmas in the main living room was a perfect touch for our family Christmas vacation. Hosts were more than patient with unexpected changes in plans for us. Very grateful for their kindness. We loved our stay here. Highly recommend this property for anyone wanting to be at Cocoa Beach. Family Beach Vacay

Would definitely recommend! We stayed at The Sea Gypsy for almost a week and had an absolutely amazing time. It was like home away from home. It was above and beyond our expectations. Our girls got to see a dolphin, right in the back yard, on the very first day which was a huge plus. The neighborhood was quiet and safe. Neighbors were very friendly. Janine was extremely helpful and informative. She answered many questions I had prior to our trip and then she even kept in touch while we were there to update us on launches to watch, times to watch, and where to look. We couldn't have chosen a better place to stay!

Nice last minute stay

I had to find a last minute place for a work trip, and decided to make a long weekend out of it and this was a good pick for not having many options left. It could use a little clean up and a few more household items to make the house a little more comfortable... I would suggest a TV in the master bedroom with a king size bed and put the Queen in another room. Get sturdier chairs for the outside patio and a table and fire pit. Install an outdoor shower area when coming back from the beach since there is no rinse off areas at the public beach entries. Repair the icemaker on the refrigerator or have a countertop ice maker for guests to use, there is no ice other than ice cube trays. Clean out the garage so it's a little more usable and visually clean. The house listed there was a buggy/cart for traveling to the beach but there isn't, so make a note of that. Put some sort of speaker system in the house for music or a speaker outside or just something to bluetooth music. Add lighting in the back yard or tiki torches and citronella candles for bug repelling and sight at nighttime. Replace the shower heads and keep the hard water build up cleaned off all fixtures. Have a handyman come out and put the front and back door on properly because they open outside instead of inside, have the backyard checked for an irrigation leak or canal wall leak because the yard is super smushy, & finally get the residual smoke smell out of the house from years of someone smoking inside the home.
