Sharks and Minnows is one sweet beach cottage! It's colorful, comfortable, and close to beach access (1/10 of a mile). All the thoughtful amenities will make your beach vacation breezily carefree. Located mid-island at 406 29th Street.

This is the third house that we stayed at in the last three years, and there was another house. We stayed in 10 years ago, three years in a row. This is my wife’s favorite house, she really liked the layout, she loved kitchen utensils, she loved the decor, and she loved the location.

Wonderful Week at the Beach

Great location and a lovely home with all needed amenities. Only minor issues with cleanliness when we checked in, multiple hand prints on the front door and furniture on the screened in porch could have been cleaned. That being said we can’t wait to return next year!

Upon arrival the house was neat and tidy and ready for amour arrival. I love that things in the kitchen and light switches were clearly labeled. I thought I recalled reading beach towels were provided but that was incorrect. We had a slight inconvenience with the door lock after hours but the 24 hour maintenance came quickly to repair it for us.

Family Weekend

The coffee maker was difficult to run. The vacuum cleaner was difficult to run. I didn’t like having to make my own bed when I arrived, especially given the price I paid for this house. I didn’t appreciate being Threatened with penalties and fees if I didn’t tear down the beds, take out the trash and clean all the dishes before I left.

Fantastic getaway home!

Property was very clean and inviting upon our arrival. Perfect for a quick getaway for three friends. It has a well stocked kitchen (Crock Pot, blender, Keurig and Mr. Coffee plus lots of glassware, serving dishes, silverware) and several sitting areas (both inside and outside) for guests to spread out including a hammock downstairs. It's a quick walk to the beach and close to the main pier. Note: If you plan to use the grill - It is similar to one you would find in a public park.

We enjoyed our stay. Great island. The home endured hours of 60-70 mph straight line winds, with gusts of 90 mph. Not so much as a creek inside the home. No damage to siding or shingles. Minor screen damage. Very well constructed home! Nearby island had more issues secondary to small dunes. Sunset has large, very healthy dunes. Makes a huge difference in a storm. We want to book for two weeks next year. Thank you!

Well equipped and furnished beach house an 8-minute walk to beach

This house is the perfect size for a family and is so well furnished and equipped! It’s a bit of a walk to the beach especially for little ones or the elderly, but certainly not unreasonable for most folks. During COVID19 we were concerned about cleanliness, and were very pleased that it seemed spotless! The kitchen has pretty much anything you could ask for and there were more cleaning supplies and paper products than usual in a beach rental.

Best rental property experience overall

The house is very clean and nicely decorated. The owners have fully stocked the house with all of your cooking needs and the labels on where things should go and which light switch operates which light, etc are very thoughtful touches. Our only complaint was that the tv's in 3 of the rooms are VERY small, which brought on much heartache for the teenagers as they couldn't hook up their game system or watch tv comfortably. 2 of them are only the size of a tablet. The keyless entry is a great idea but we had to call for service twice as they weren't working properly and locked us out of the house. Another issue we had was that we didn't realize linens were not included and we're quite surprised when we arrived and had to scramble to get some rented or purchased. It would be better to highlight & bold that info at the top of the contract to ensure that renters are aware. Hoping to possibly rent the property again next year. Thank you for an overall very pleasant stay.
