The house was spacious and very cozy. Lars was super responsive and made our stay so much more welcoming. We would absolutely stay again. The skiing condition at Bolton was excellent during our stay. About 40 min to Stowe. Good restaurants within 20 min drive.

This house is excellent. We are long time VRBO'ers, and we have stayed in some great homes, good homes and some not up to snuff. This is by far one of the best most comfortable and easy home to stay in. The owner is very attentive but not obtrusive. Don't hesitate to book this home, you won't need anything once you are in. We will stay again for sure.

This property is an absolute dream in the mountains. My family stayed here to be near our daughter’s wedding at The Ponds. Very well appointed. View from the master is breathtaking and the small room with the skylights at the top was an amazing place to look at the stars. Would highly reccomend!

Bolton Valley Spring Break

We just returned from a multi-generational ski trip to Bolton Valley. The house is gorgeous, well equipped and the host is very responsive. The home is very close to the slopes and convenient.

Business Retreat

Loved it. Great responsive host and great place. Pictures don't do it justice. I had my Architectural partners up for a work retreat and we all loved the house, the creature comforts, the scenery and the hiking. I wouldn't hesitate to book this place! Cheers, Dave

Perfect for a large group

This home is so spacious and has the best location. Our family enjoyed not having to drive to the slopes. There is plenty of space for family fun and privacy when needed. Everything was perfect, from the hot tub to the fireplace. The host was very hospitable and responsive. We will be back!

Wedding celebration

Absolutely beautiful place. Very clean and uncluttered. Everything you could possibly want to use is there. Host was available and easy to talk to. Lots of space for people to ‘get away’ from main socializing area. We couldn’t possibly use it all. Spacious.

Wonderful & cozy home

We stayed here during our kids’ school vacation week and it was amazing. The kids loved the house - especially the movie room! We loved the fire place - it made for a very cozy stay. The house is located right on the ski trail, short walk to take a run to Snowflake lift or ski down to Timberline lift. We did night skiing a couple of nights and it was very easy to ski back to the house. Lars was a wonderful host! We enjoyed the coffee and macaroon treats. He was always in communication and even helped pull my husband’s truck out of the ditch :)! Thanks Lars - we cannot wait to go back next yr!

Amazing mountain getaway!

Lars’ home was the perfect place for a big group of family friends to stay during my wedding weekend at Bolton Valley. Originally I had booked another property owned by Lars but when he offered this spot as an alternative it could not have been more perfect. Super spacious and everyone was raving about how great it was. The house is only a few minutes down the road from the main Bolton Valley resort so it was easy for folks to get to all of the weekend activities. Communication with Lars was super easy! We would definitely come back again.

Spacious Home

The property was very clean, very spacious and all the amenities of home. There are many little getaway areas for family members to retreat to and the gathering area with the fireplace, and incredible wood beams and ceiling is amazing. The views are stunning from everywhere in the home and we were fortunate to have enough snow to make it magical. Bolton Valley ski trails are just about 20 yards out the door as the home is near the top of the mountain. Thank you Lars for being a great host. Oh, did I mention the heated floors or the well apportioned kitchen with a professional grade stove/oven?

Bolton Valley Gem

Phenomenal spot at Bolton Valley. Fit a family of ten with ease, wonderful amenities ( i.e. a ready to go hot tub, Heady Toppers in the fridge, All Clad pans!), a stunning fireplace, comfortable beds...a perfect great room to hang together, and plenty of places inside and out to find your own space. The owner Lars went way out of his way to make sure we were taken care of. Recommended for anyone who wants a quintessential VT experience. We happened to be there at Thanksgiving, but knowing the area a bit, this spot would be wonderful in all seasons. You can literally ski home from Bolton Valley, you are near numerous classic swimming holes, hiking/MTN biking is out your door, and foliage season there must be stunning as you are nestled into a hillside overlooking the valley/sunset. Don't miss out on this mountain gem!

Slopeside Mansion

in 2024 we stayed in Bolton Valley for a weekend and saw this property and became enthralled. After finding it listed on VRBO we had to make it our destitation for this year. This house and its host did not dissapoint. For a skiing family this is everything and more- 1. A ski room with just steps to the trail. ski off the trail take your boots and gear off in the rubber ski room. An absolute godsend on a frigid day!2. Heated tile floors - so nice3. Plenty of room to spread out multiple different levels and plenty of privacy. 4. A great room with Post and Beam Construction a great area of cooking, games laughter and fun. 5. A wet bar in the great room with it own drink refridgerator. 6. Endless supply of firewood. I could go on and on... what a tremendous property and responsive and thoughtfull host to boot. Picking our 2026 dates now!

Everything you need in a house

Our stay at the mansion in Bolton Valley, Vermont, was nothing short of extraordinary! The property is a true gem, combining luxury, comfort, and breathtaking natural beauty. From the moment we drove up the winding road and caught our first glimpse of the house, we knew we were in for a special experience. The mansion itself is stunning—spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably maintained. Each room offered a unique charm, and the attention to detail in every corner of the house was remarkable. The bedrooms were like a dream, with plush beds and linens that made it difficult to get up in the morning. The kitchen was a chef’s paradise, fully equipped with high-end appliances and everything we needed to prepare meals for our group. We loved gathering in the large dining area, enjoying our meals with the backdrop of the picturesque Vermont landscape. One of the highlights of our stay was the outdoor space. The property boasts expansive grounds with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountains and forests. We spent our days exploring the nearby trails and our evenings relaxing by the fire pit, soaking in the tranquility and fresh mountain air. The host was fantastic—attentive, responsive, and went above and beyond to ensure our stay was perfect. They provided us with great recommendations for local activities and dining, making our experience even more enjoyable. Overall, this mansion exceeded our expectations in every way.
