Our first impression was dreadful. The security gate staff, despite significant effort, didn't know our unit number & email info was vague in identifying it. It took approximately an hour to sort this out which included a call to the VRBO helpline who was able to contact the owner. The owner otherwise did not respond to our 'urgent' email messages.Next, the light above the entrance door was burnt out and the code we put into what appeared to be the locking device didn't work. Once a neighbour came by she was able to help us identify a second punch pad (not visible to the eye unless one knew to touch it to light it up). This took an additional 30 minutes to access the unit. Both of these issues could have been avoided had the owner provided a better orientation package with detailed information & ideally photo instructions. The unit was clean and spacious, however it required numerous maintenance updates. Both drains from the kitchen sink leaked to the point of draining onto the floor.(not new as both had buckets under them). This was repaired after contacting the owner. A number of the air conditioners, fans and light remotes didn't work, same for the lamps. Hot water tank required resetting via the breaker box twice. Minor concerns were a partially plugged shower drain, a shower tap fell off, a broken toilet paper holder, the safe had corroded battery terminals, no garbage bags, no dishwasher pods, only one dish towel and face clothes had permanent stains.
