The house was excellent. Location is fantastic. A short ski down to the Jordanelle Gondola. Could literally ski right to the back porch. Just down the Jordanelle run (described as double blue but it is not a difficult run) and then turn off at the sign/tunnel and into the Deer Crest neighborhood. We very much enjoyed our trip and would book again.

Very nice house!

We had a great stay! The house was very clean and perfectly described. Everything worked great and the mgt company was a pleasure to work with. The house was in a great area with beautiful views! I highly recommend staying and my family will for sure rent it again.

Ski In easier than Ski Out

Beautiful location and house. Responsive management team. Seems like the gondola at base of this area is never busy. Slopes to gondola area are mostly blues. They is another newer base area a few minutes drive from the house if need green slopes. If you can make it down the narrow path(I would rate as blue) to lower run to gondola, I would rate the lower part of that run Leading to the gondola as green. Overall, an excellent experience and likely we will be back next year!

Fantastic Property!!! Great Host!!

We travel several times a year with friends and have become accustomed to great accommodations in spectacular locations. This property really proved to be a great choice. The communication with the Host was spot on and they were ready at a moments notice to answer any questions that we had. More often than not the information was provided well before we needed it. If you have a big family or a group of 4-5 couples this place will not disappoint. There is plenty of room to spread out and do your own thing when needed and when you're ready to entertain and hang out together the space is more than accommodating. From the Billiards room to the jacuzzi and then back again to the spacious kitchen you will find a spot to relax and enjoy. We love to cook and the Kitchen was top of the line with everything that you might need. We were here early in the ski season and were very happy with the Ski-in-Ski-out. It was very easy and in 2 minutes you were sitting in the Gondola at Deer Valley on your way to the best groomed slopes anywhere. This stay brought us much joy and the memories we made here will be with us forever.

Beautiful home and view, house issues/ poor communication

This is a large home with a beautiful view. However, we were not impressed with Vacasa. This was our 5th time to stay in Deer Valley, and was the least smooth experience. The home is advertised as ski in /ski out but it was unclear how to do that after arriving. The local company contact said he was not a skier, and did not have much information on that. He also did not have correct information on getting food deliveries at the home . Once we figured out things ourselves it was fine, but it would be nice to have a little more information when arriving on these things . Basically groceries can get delivered in Deercrest, but there won’t be any to go food deliveries available. In other homes we stayed in this is how we eaten most nights, by getting food delivered. If the runs near the home aren’t open, it is not ski in/ski out. We drove to nearby parking lot at bottom of Jordanelle lift to get on a lift to start skiing. We also had issues with the heat working in the home, and alarms beeping frequently. Maintenance team was very friendly which we appreciated! TV’s also did not function well. Overall it’s a beautiful home but Vacasa needs to work on communicating with renters, and giving better information about the location.

Better than the photos!

We loved this property. It is beautiful, spacious, and was perfect for our family ski vacation. The amenities were top notch, including a wood burning pizza oven. Fireplaces in some of the larger bedrooms were wonderful. Having a pool table in the small entertaining area downstairs was great as well, and included a full wet bar. The hot tub was perfect after a day on the slopes. I wish the outdoor fireplace was operational. This house really does offer everything you could dream of in a luxury property. Just two problems. One of the washer doors was broken and the other would often have an error code which made doing laundry for our larger group challenging. The bigger issue was the heating downstairs. We could not get the heat above 62 degrees when set in the low 70's. I texted the manager on the first night and she promised to send someone. To my knowledge, no one ever showed up to fix it, and so it was a little chilly at night downstairs. They did offer us a one night refund, which was appreciated, but I would have rather had the issue fixed. That was the only disappointing aspect of this high-end property.

Thank you for your review, Lisa. It was our pleasure hosting you and we are glad you overall enjoyed your stay. We apologize for the issues you had with the washer and the heat downstairs. Our property manager has reviewed your concerns and found the washer and dryer to be working fine. The heat in the downstairs area is also in working order. The area was set to 65 degrees and reading 65. With this particular home, all thermostats need tone set at the same temperature or it will throw off the system. We hope to have another chance to host you soon!
