Hello. Please let’s start with a conversation and please do not start with a direct BOOKING REQUEST so that we can first agree that the apartment is a good fit. Thank you in advance for your understanding.

A stylish and modern one-bedroom apartment in the historic Marais district. It is located on rue du Parc Royal, which is a street lined with mansions from the 17th and 18th centuries. The apartment is on the 6th and 7th floor in a renovated complex that includes the courtyard, facade and entry hall of the Hotel Bonneval (an 18th century mansion). The access to the complex is via a gated entry that opens on to a historically protected paved courtyard and the original entrance of the mansion.
The apartment is a duplex composed of a small entry, bedroom and bathroom /toilet on the 6th floor and a large reception/dining room and a small but well equipped designer kitchen on the 7th floor. The 6th and 7th floor are connected by an internal staircase. The elevator entry is via the 6th floor. The reception room has windows with South and North exposure, full of light and traditional views of the Marais and beyond (i.e. Beaubourg, Pantheon…). It has a quality modern style with furnishings and designs that are influenced by Mondrian and Corbusier. The apartment has an open and relaxed style that creates a very agreeable and special experience. A rare find in the Marais – an apartment that brings together comfort and design, concierge, security, elevator, air conditioning (in bedroom and dining room), light and views!
The total area is 70m2 (754 sqf) and it is perfect for a couple or single person looking for a memorable and calm Parisian experience.
The bedroom has a Tempur bed measuring 160x200 (Queen size), closets and draws. The Bisazza styled bathroom has a combination bath/shower and toilet. The Boffi kitchen is fully equipped with Miele appliances. There is a television and internet access via Wifi.
It is located in the heart of the Marais – very close to the Picasso museum and the Place des Vosges. The closest metro stations are Saint Paul (line 1) and Chemin Vert (line 8)

The perfect Paris apartment

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our time in Paris. We love the apartment we were in. It was very clean and comfortable. We loved the top floor looking out the windows at the beautiful view and I loved hearing the doves cooing in the morning. The apartment is equipped with very nice appliances in the kitchen and the washer and dryer. I could not find one complaint with our stay. It was just perfect.

Charming Apartment in the Heart of the Marais District

We had a wonderful stay at this charming apartment in the heart of the Marais district. From the moment we arrived, everything exceeded our expectations. Our host, Barry, met us at the front gate and gave us a warm welcome. He took the time to walk us through the apartment, answered all our questions, and even offered helpful recommendations for nearby restaurants. He was a gracious and thoughtful host.The apartment was exactly as described—well-appointed, comfortable, and equipped with everything we needed. We arrived on an especially warm day, so it was a relief to find that both the upper and lower levels were air-conditioned. On milder days, the windows open easily to let in a pleasant breeze. The living space is bright, attractively furnished, and ideal for relaxing after a day of exploring. The kitchen is fully equipped, which made it easy to enjoy a few meals in. We also appreciated the strong Wi-Fi connection and the convenience of having a washer and dryer, which allowed us to pack light.Accessibility within the building is excellent. The elevator, located just a few steps from the apartment door, was reliable and made coming and going effortless.The location truly couldn’t be better. There’s a G20 grocery store just a three-minute walk away, and the apartment is very well connected to the Paris Metro.The area is lively and vibrant, filled with restaurants, cafés, and shops—perfect for leisurely evenings.We would gladly return and highly recommend it to others.

Perfect stay in the Marais

We have stayed in multiple locations in Paris over the years and this is most definitely now our favorite! The location was perfect. We had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The metro, shops, and cafes were all close and convenient. Also a wonderful check in and review of everything upon arrival from Barry, was much appreciated! Overall a great place to call home while exploring Paris!!

Exceptional flat in Marais

The flat is perfect in so many ways. Great location wonderful view of Paris from 6th floor (elevator building). Flat is very well maintained host makes an effort to be available and helpful. The flat is 2 floors with the bedroom downstairs and living room, dining area and kitchen up a short flight of stairs. So you can have some privacy but also lots of "living space" to relax before and after your busy day in Paris. We will be happy to return many times. 5 stars for sure

A lovely, smart, convenient rooftop view of Paris

We enjoyed our stay. The city was at its best, freshly scrubbed from the Olympics, gilded and surprisingly empty. Our VRBO was a delight to come home to at the end of the day. Thank you for the amenities and the ease of our stay.

Perfect trip

This is the second time we have stayed at this amazing flat. It is in a wonderful location with easy access to shops, restaurants and the metro. The owner was friendly, punctual, and incredibly helpful. He had great advice about the neighborhood, and additional places to travel. He went above what was necessary to ensure our stay was comfortable. I would love to stay here again in the future.

Fun times in the Marais

We loved being bathed in sunshine here with views of Paris rooftops. Calm. Quiet. Kitchen well appointed with a comfortable living and dining area. Bed great. Location the best. Barry our host is a keeper. We had a wonderful stay. No complaints at all. Just praise.

A Perfect Nest Above the Marais

We just spent 4 weeks at Barry's 1-BR in the Marais; it was a perfect choice! The unit is small but split between two levels with an internal stairwell which makes it feel bigger. The bedroom and bath are downstairs and both are comfortably large. The bath is surprisingly large compared to other small units we've seen. The kitchen and living area are upstairs. The kitchen is very small but has everything you need; we made dinner there most nights. The location can't be beat; right in the heart of the Marais and just steps from the Picasso Museum. Great restaurants, cafes, bars and shopping surround you. You are a bit of a walk from the nearest Metro stop but a bus line runs right down the street. Barry was great to work with. Very responsive, met us at the front door, helped with our tons of luggage (we're traveling for 3 months), helped us to arrange tours, gave recommendations and stayed in touch the whole time. Both he and his place are 5-star plus. Our highest recommendation!

Wonderful Apartment

The apartment was spotless, comfortable, and contained everything we needed. Paris was quite warm during our two week vacation there, so having the air conditioning was terrific. The bed was comfortable, the kitchen useful, and the living room perfect for entertaining our friends. An extra treat was the fantastic view of the rooftops of Paris. We had friends visit while we were in the apartment and they all spoke of how attractive the apartment was.

Fantastic Apartment

Barry was so attentive and responsive from the moment I started booking the apartment right throughout our stay. He was so accommodating and always checked in on us which was greatly appreciated. His apartment is absolutely fantastic. It has everything you need and even allowed us to cook and entertain friends who were in Paris at the same time. The area has everything you need and we found many great restaurants and bars and shopping. Anyone who stays here will enjoy the true atmosphere of being a local in Paris.

Wonderful apartment!

Barry (our host) was very gracious and made us feel like a guest in his home. He was there to greet us when we arrived and went through all the details of his apartment. The space is very comfortable and great to come back to after a busy Paris day! The kitchen, while small, is well appointed and could be used to prepare a full meal (although with all the amazing dining choices I didn't take that opportunity!). The washer and dryer worked very well - rare for me in Europe! I could go on and on, but suffice to say that if I ever have the privilege to return to Paris I will definitely book this beautiful apartment!

Like a home away from home

This place is in a lovely neighborhood and not too far from any of the main Paris Attractions. It was also fun to explore the restaurants within walking distance. The place had a small kitchen, washer and dryer, and a bath tub, which made vacation life in Paris so much easier! We also found the furniture to be very comfortable. The place is very clean. Barry’s place made our vacation in Paris. It is hard to imagine a traditional hotel would have provided the same quality of experience. Thank you, Barry, for being such a thoughtful and helpful host.

Our favorite rental apartment in Paris!

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed 7 nights in this beautiful apartment. Barry is such a great host and was so helpful in advance of our arrival and throughout our stay. Top on our list of where to stay in Paris

The owner was a joy to work with from our first inquiry to our final day at his flat. He met us when we arrived and welcomed us into his home with a thoughtful walk-through. Everything had been cleaned. The kitchen, while very small, is well equipped. We made meals (lunch and dinner) almost everyday It is in a beautiful old building, has an elevator, and the flat has been renovated so it has a modern feel. The bed is very comfortable and the combined living room/dining room is decorated with art, the furniture is stylish and the windows look out over the rooftops of Paris. We stayed there during the heatwave and the AC combined with fans kept the the flat at a cool temperature. Finally, the neighborhood is perfectly located for visits to museums, walks along the Seine, wonderful squares/parks and many local cafes and restaurants. Highly recommend!

Shhhh...

Shhhhh. We really don’t want to write this review, because once the word is out - everyone will want to stay here. Barry’s place is FABULOUS. It is your own bird’s nest in Paris complete with Paris seagulls serenading you each day. Who knew seagulls lived in Paris? This perfectly appointed home, is cozy and spacious at the same time. The furnishings are comfortable, elegant and joyful. The air conditioning is superb - it was 103 when we were there. Location, location, location. Barry is a meticulous host who helped us settle into the apartment with a in-depth tour. He answered all our questions and gave us wonderful tips. Bathtub was great. Whatever you do - don’t stay here. We plan to return again and again. C’est magnifique!

Great apartment in a very convenient area

We stayed for 10 days. Neighborhood is quiet but easy short walk to restaurants, wine bars, food shops and the metro. Bus stop in front of apartment. Unit is modern, very well equipped. Barry, owner, met us on day one and gave us a very good introduction to the unit and its features. We will stay here again when we come to Paris. It is around corner from musee Picasso

Everything and more

Barry, our host, met us at check-in and walked us through the specifics of the apartment. On election day after he voted, he spent several hours with my wife and I walking though the Marais (3rd and 4th arrondissements) where the apartment is located. He shared the history of the district, pointed out areas of interest, and his favorite eateries. Most importantly he respected our privacy always checking with us when his housekeeper could have access or at the end of our stay. The description of the property was spot-on. We look forward staying again next year!

Contemporary penthouse in the heart of the Marais

My husband and I loved staying in this well-kept, tastefully decorated, contemporary 2-story apartment in a beautiful building. It was well-equipped for all our needs. The kitchen, although compact, was very functional and exceptionally well-stocked with pots and pans, utensils, etc. The induction cooktop, microwave and oven were great for light cooking and heating up food. The bathroom was a good size, and there was ample hot water and water pressure. There is an overhead shower with a gentle spray and a hand wand with more water pressure - great for rinsing off soap and shampoo. The washer & dryer were very convenient. The bed was very comfortable, and there was plenty of closet and drawer space for clothes. Also, there were plenty of convenient electrical outlets throughout. One of the best things was the location - less than 10 minutes walk to the stores and Marché des Enfants Rouges on the Rue de Bretagne in one direction, and to the Boulevard Saint Antoine and Rue des Francs Bourgeois in the other direction. We were able to walk everywhere, including to the Arc de Triomphe, Galeries Lafayette, Au Bon Marché, the BHV, Notre Dame, the Louvre, etc. The Musée Picasso, Beaubourg, and the Bourse de Commerce are all very close, and you can see the Beaubourg from the top floor. The top of the Eiffel Tower is also just visible at night. Communication with the owner and check-in/check-out were seamless. The pictures are accurate. We hope to return and stay here again.

Charming stay in the Marais

Had a wonderful time staying at this property. The host met us on arrival, spent time going over the workings of the apartment and was in communication during the week to make sure that our stay was comfortable. Neighborhood can’t be beat and the apartment was charming. We would definitely like to return!
