Amanda is a photographer, chef, nutritionist, sailor, SCUBA diver, SUP and yoga enthusiast... she has lived in the BVI and been involved in BVI tourism since 1988. Amanda co-owned and operated a charter vessel for 10 years, therefore hosting comes naturally with her extensive knowledge and love for the BVI.

Reach the summit of the hill and descend into Long Bay, you will be greeted with the most stunning vista in the BVI, and possibly the Caribbean. Long Bay Beach with it's white coral sand, swaying coconut palms and amazing sunsets creates the most picturesque backdrop, lending itself, an ideal spot for photography, the most popular location for romantic portraits, destination weddings and family memories, Long Bay has been my favorite outdoor studio for many years. The present beach restaurant, located in an old ruin dating back to 1748, exudes nostalgia for the days of plantations and sugarcane. Old stone walls are flanked with palm fronds and the sound of the surf rolling in just feet away. Sand crabs can be seen scurrying between shells and corals scattered by the waves that sculpt the shore day in and out. Walk a minute or two and cross the road to find Caroleann Villa nestled next to the pool and tennis courts, have a seat on the deck, where you can see the sea beyond and enjoy your own outside dining. Chat to the locals that live there (there are many) you will find that this a favorite spot for residents as well as visitors.

The location is hard to beat, being close enough to the beach to hear the surf whilst nestled in the beautiful gardens and conveniently close to the tennis courts and spa gives you the best of both worlds-footsteps from the beach but shady and cool, private parking and a roomy yet cozy deck makes the place feel like home.
