This lakefront property is located on peaceful Lake of Egypt in beautiful Southern Illinois. A retreat with the family or friends! Whether you are visiting the beautiful wineries, hiking in the Shawnee forest or enjoying a nice relaxing weekend with the family on the lake. This lakefront house is family friendly and has much to offer. There is a large yard with plenty of space, a walk out deck with outdoor seating and a boat dock with a pontoon boat to rent.

Excellent property, quite neighborhood

Excellent property, quiet neighborhood, spacious rooms and lots of beds. Make sure you avail the boat rental they offer it was a great experience.

Pros: Comfortable lake accommodations with quiet surroundings. Well stocked kitchen. No steps to the lake makes it so easy to load the boat. Host was very responsive to any questions. Cons: Shallow and narrow cove-not good for swimming off dock and make turning/parking a boat a little challenging.

Great Stay!

This is one of the few times I’ve checked in to my stay and the actual home was better than the pictures! Great place, plenty of room, quiet neighborhood, right in the water, plenty of necessities (towels, soap, toilet paper, coffee filters). I highly recommend this stay.

Cute Cottage

We had a pleasant stay. The hot tub, fire pit, and bathrooms were great amenities that we thoroughly enjoyed. However, the cottage did have a musty smell that was noticeable. The location is a bit remote, making it far from most towns, but it was very quiet and peaceful. Overall, we enjoyed our time here.

Great Getaway!

Our family had a great Labor Day at Lakefront Living. We had plenty of space for all of our guests. Nice yard for outdoor activities including firepit.

Great House!

We had a very special family Thanksgiving at this awesome property. Teens & kids had fun, and so did we! Comfy home with great amenities and communication with the host.

Great Property!

I stayed for two nights and had a great time! Though it was raining and we didn’t get to do much outside, the inside had enough space for my friends and I to play games and decorate. The house was clean and it was absolutely beautiful!

Sisters Getaway

The lake house was wonderful. We had enough bedrooms for everyone and additional space to visit, cook and play card games. We had a great time and Jeremy was very responsive when we had a need or a question.

Great Lake stay!

This house is equipped with everything you need for a stress free stay at the lake! Plenty of soap, trash bags, paper towels, toilet paper and dish soap! Almost any kitchen gadget or utensil needed was also there! We had a great stay and really enjoyed our long weekend! Host was super responsive to all our messages and questions!

Wonderful house

Loved this house. Very cute setup and very clean inside. Everything you could need was included. Check in process was super simple. Beds were comfortable with nice linens and towels included. Highly recommend and will most definitely try to stay here again if we come back to this lake!

Lake front living at its finest.

We had a great time with out teenage boys. Everything we needed was available. Owners were great and the property was exactly what we expected. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. We will definitely be back again.

Wonderful Vacation Home

We loved our stay at LOE! The home had many thoughtful conveniences, as well as fun extras: hot tub, kayaks and pontoon rental available. Our host was very accommodating and quick to respond. The layout is great for two groups to stay and enjoy privacy. Everything very quality, comfortable, updated and tasteful. Fully equipped kitchen and three outdoor sitting areas. Level back yard w/a firepit in quiet cove with water view on both sides. Nice neighborhood. Highly recommend for your next lake stay :)

Annual family trip to lake egypt

Had to book this house last minute due to other rental being sold. House was well equipped and fit our families well. Kids loved the Pac-Man game and kayaks. The lake is very shallow outside of dock, which was the only down side that we couldn’t swim off dock. Not sure we would book again, but it definitely worked great with what little time we had to find something.

Reconnected!

I haven’t been to this area of the country in many years. Sadly I was there for a memorial service but it also served as a wonderful reunion with relatives I hadn’t seen in many years. Everything about this property made for a special reunion and place to gather. I couldn’t have asked for more! I would recommend this property to other families looking for a special getaway or relaxing retreat, and I plan to return!

Easy to work with

This place was paid for by my company, for the purpose of housing a homeowner near my place of work to accommodate them for a month or so while we worked near their home. The people who stayed there had no issues that I know of, and I hope they were "good" guests! It looks like it would be great in the summer too. Thanks again for working with us on short notice!

Nice Getaway

The house was very clean, well-maintained, and had modern updates. Bedrooms, bathrooms/showers, kitchen, living areas, etc. were all comfortable and better than several others that we've stayed at before. I was disappointed that there was no electric at the dock for my boat. Also we were never sent the door access code and I had to call the owner/management twice since they weren't answering my messages thru the vrbo app, but they were really nice and apologetic when I called. Overall the stay was great and everyone enjoyed this property very much.

Perfect

We had a great day at this property. The pictures do not do the house justice. Everything was remodeled fresh and new. Entire house had been repainted and decorated very tastefully. We felt right at home house included everything we needed and then some. The best thing about the house was the location and the fact that it had two separate living quarters if you brought family upstairs and down. Very nice neighbors and the neighbor to the north of the house even delivers firewood for you at a cheap rate. We had a great time, we will definitely be back

So much fun on Lake of Egypt

Nestled in a quiet cove, this house is perfect for a family gathering. We have 4 adults and 2 kids that used the whole house. Kitchen well stocked with all appliances and utensils needed. Layout was great with plenty of storage/closets for our things. Everyone raved on how comfortable the sectional couch was in the living room and on a rainy afternoon we all sat on it reading trivia questions from the game provided. We rented the pontoon boat which I highly recommend. Outdoor furniture was comfortable too and we all took a quick dip in the hot tub after a day of hiking and/or boating. Would definitely stay here again. Brought back some great memories.

Disappointed

Found in ate bowl of mashed potato in the microwave. Light underneath the deck for the hot tub wasn’t working. The kayaks were so nasty, avoid using them cause they were never cleaned out. Remote for upstairs tv batteries dead. Upstairs mattress soooo hard

Family Meet Up for Thanksgiving

Our family of 7 adults met there to celebrate Thanksgiving with family in the area. Good parking for 4 vehicles. Good host communication. Easy access to house with a code, not a key. Amazingly clean. Plenty of kitchen space for multiple cooks & well stocked even though we took our own provisions. Dining area large enough for our extended family gathering. I was unclear of the layout but living room, dining area, kitchen, master bedroom, bath, & huge walk in closet are on the entrance level. So much room! Another living room is downstairs along with the laundry room, queen bedroom, & bunk bed room. Unfortunately time didn’t permit the use of the hot tub but a quick peek showed it was hot & clean. We hated to leave & would definitely stay there again.
