The location was amazing walking distance to beach. The host Jorge was very accommodating and the place was clean well ventilated and air conditioned. I would go back here at any time we thoroughly enjoyed our stay.

Love this place!

This is our second time renting the property and we've enjoyed it immensely both times. It's clean, quiet and close to the beach. Highly recommend it.

Beautiful, well maintained property.

Really enjoyed our stay at the Palapas La Choya. Property was so clean and the kitchen was well stocked. We especially enjoyed the 2 refrigerators to keep our beverages cold! Stayed at numerous places during our time on the Baja and this place was the best. Jorge was a considerate and helpful host, left there counting him as a new friend.

An Excellent Place to Stay

We are currently staying at Palapas la Choya and are loving it. The facilities are top notch, Jorge has a good eye for quality. Kitchen is beautiful, awesome shower and great room with lots of character. One block from the beach and in a peaceful neighbourhood. Jorge is very attentive to any requests. He runs a fantastic place and I hope to be back.

Great place and good location

The property was really clean and adorable. Jorge was easy to communicate with, kind, and prompt. We enjoyed the big, open kitchen, the layout of the casita and appreciated the comfortable bed. We were both impressed with the water pressure and hot temperature in the shower. Having the gear shed next to our casita coupled with the short walk to the launch sets this place apart. It was also really quiet. We’ll definitely be back!

Palapa La Choya

Jorge is a great host, very accommodating and his place is amazing. We absolutely loved the well appointed outdoor kitchen!!! Our suite was clean and extremely comfortable. Very short walk to the beach and the use of kayaks was an added bonus. We highly recommend staying here. No disappointments whatsoever. Thanks Jorge !!

Awesome week

We came down for a week to kite board. You couldn't ask for a better location.. Quiet, close to the water, place was immaculate. . Jorge was the ultimate host. Any questions we had were answered and if we needed something he was always there. I highly recommend staying here.

Best place I’ve stayed in LV

This place is wonderful. Jorge’s property is clean, quiet, spacious, and has everything you need. With only 3 units, there’s plenty of secure space for guests, parking, gear, meals, and the WiFi actually works well. Excellent beach access, especially for kiters (no rocks or hazards). Also fantastic access to trails for mountain biking and running. Jorge is a fantastic host. We will definitely stay here again and recommend it to all of our friends and family. Thanks.

Nice owner

Did not stay there, however the owner (Jorge) found my wife's kite board along the beach (she had lost it out in the water). He made the effort to carry it all the way back to his place, and then made two international phone calls to get the board back to us. Jorge is an extremely considerate individual who speaks perfect english. Thank you Jorge!

Hidden Gem In El Sargento

Jorge accommodated our last minute 3 night stay. Response was immediate. Excellent host & communicator. The design, care & attention to detail of the casita, villas & grounds were even more beautiful than the photos showed. My wife & I enjoyed the accommodations of Casita Viznaga & wished we could have stayed longer. We've traveled extensively throughout Baja during the last 20 yrs, but this was our 1st time in La Ventana/El Sargento region & fell in love with it. We mentioned to Jorge that we're planning a return trip with friends to rent the casita & villas to be able to enjoy the wonderful outdoor kitchen as well. Thank you Jorge for being such a great host. ¡Nos vemos pronto!

Excellent stay, gorgeous property.

Jorge made the stay great! Very warm, friendly, and always willing to help out to make the stay more enjoyable. The property was a subtropical paradise. I will definitely be coming back!

Great location and people.

Great spot in El Sargento. I'd always stayed in La Ventana but decided to try this and I loved it. Very close to the the north trail system and Punta Gorda trail perfect for hiking, running, and mountain biking. Beach is perfect for kiting and is huge. Minimal rocks on entering water and no need for booties. Locals are approachable and friendly. Daily housekeeper. Kitchen has everything and I used it for most meals. Saw Jorge daily on the beach and is readily accessible.

Wonderful host and home

Jorge was incredible and so was the living space and location. We'll definitely try to stay with Jorge again when we come back! The shared kitchen is amazing, easy beach and mountain bike access in a quiet neighborhood.

Medicine as thatch roof; comfy, aesthetic; a pleasure for peeps who want easy access to the water, a place to rest after some morning paddling or snorkeling, afternoon kiting, a place to grill some fish. Amazing in every aspect!!

Wonderful host and great kiting beach!

I stayed here solo for a couple of weeks until my boyfriend arrived, and Jorge and his wife made me feel like family. It was cold on a couple of the evenings, and Jorge brought me a big, fleece blanket. He made himself available to his guests for questions and needs at all the right moments - he is a great ambassador for the town. He picks up kiters heading home from "down-winders", helps people on the beach, and is open to suggestions for improving his villas (although they are pretty perfect!). Thank you Jorge for a great vacation!
